Chapter 7

We flew to Pan's thinking tree and hid in the branches while we waited for him to absorb the power from Henry's heart. Pan and I just sat and held each other while we waited, then I remembered his arm."Is your arm okay? I know I healed it but it doesn't hurt still does it?" I asked looking up at Pan"I'm fine, love. See all good" Pan said showing me his arm"And Rumple? What are we going to do with him?" I asked looking at the box Pan was holding"He'll stay in here for a while, he was due for a time out anyways" Pan half jokedI chuckled a little then leaned back more and rested my head into Pan's chest while he played with my hair with is free hand.After a few hours Pan and I could hear someone coming, I conjured up a mirror and cast a looking glass spell on it to see who it was. I saw Emma, Snow and Regina coming in our direction."Heads up" I said showing Pan the mirror"Yay, more fun! I was getting bored of waiting around anyway" Pan saidHe let me go and hopped down from the tree to place the box on a rock as a way to draw the three women in, then he climbed back up and waited as we both watched them approach.When they reached the bottom of the tree Regina was the first to spot the box"Look" she said getting the other two's attentionEmma drew her sword while Snow placed her things on the ground to grab the box."Careful!" Regina warned "Pan wouldn't have just left it behind for no reason""It's David's only way home. Without Gold we're stuck here" Snow said stepping forwardThen Pan controlled the vines at the base of the tree to wrap around the three women before Snow could grab the box, pinning them against the tree. Pan and I hopped down from our hiding spot to confront them."Are you still at it? Don't you know? Peter Pan never fails" Pan tuants "I didn't expect you to find us, then again I shouldn't be surprised. You're mothers, quite tenacious about your offspring. Believe it or not I understand that. But if you're looking to see Henry again, I have to tell you there's only one place you'll be reunited. In death" Pan continuesRegina starts struggling against the vines, which only made Pan and I chuckle. I moved to sit on the rock where the box is, holding it tightly in my hands."Having trouble moving?" I chuckle, now also taunting the three ladies in front of me"Not a surprise, given where you are" Pan says "You see, what's hastening your demise is your regret" Pan once again starts to taunt"What are you talking about?" Emma asks"This tree is the site of a very important event for me" Pan says looking up at the tall tree "I abandoned my boy here" he finishes"You have a son?" Regina says in disbelief"I'm older than I look" Pan scowls"If you have a child, you must regret losing him too" Emma thought out loud"But I don't! Quite the opposite actually" Pan says walking towards me and I hand him the box "You see, I have him all boxed up so I don't lose him again" Pan says walking back towards the tree"Rumplestiltskin is your son?" Regina says, once again in disbelief"That he is" Pan answers"How's that possible? You're-" Snow started"Younger than him?" Pan cuts her off "Not really, just like you and your daughter" Pan says walking closer to Snow"You're a fraud, your magic is weakened" Regina cuts in "You can't even hurt us, let alone Rumplestiltskin""You're right. But that's why she's here" Pan points to me with the sword he picked up earlier "She can protect me until my powers are restored""So that's why you're still keeping her around? You don't love her, you're using her" Regina snarlsI glare at her and am about to make her wish she never learned to speak, but Pan stops me"I know this might be hard for you to believe, Evil Queen, but I do care for others beside myself" Pan says also glaring at Regina"Now, once my powers have been restored, and then?" Pan scoffs "Then we get to have some real fun. And I won't have to ever worry about my child again, something else we will all soon have in common" Pan saysThe three women again start to struggle against the tree before once again giving up."There has to be another way" Emma says"Well you're not going to get to us. You see this tree attacks the regret inside anyone who comes here, and you? You've got plenty" Pan says"I regret not taking a better shot at you when I had the chance" Emma spat"Well that's not all, is it Savior? No, I have your son's heart inside me. I can feel just how much you let him down, time and time again""Leave her alone" Snow spoke up"Perhaps I should. After all, what chance did she have of being a good mother? Look at the example you set, abandoning her for 28 years" Pan says moving on"Are you finished?" Regina interrupts with a bored tone, and it took all my strength to stop myself from using my powers against her for even daring to breath."Last words from the Queen?" Pan says now moving on to Regina "Perhaps a deathbed confession from the one who has the most regret of all?""Yeah, there's one problem with that" Regina starts "I did cast a curse that devastated an entire population, I have tortured and murdered , I've done some terrible things. Including killing your mother" she says the last bit looking at me as I continue to glare at her with all the hatred in my body "I should be overflowing with regret" Regina continues "But, I'm not" she finishes and forces her way out of the vines. Pan and I watch as they fall to the ground freeing Regina, Emma and Snow. "Because it got me my son!" Regina says then lunges at Pan to rip his heart out but instead I jump in his way, and instead of ripping Pan's heart out, Regina's hand goes into my chest and I can feel the quick motion of her attempting to pull it out. I looked down at where Regina's hand is shocked, to be honest I forgot about that special ability I had due to being the product of true love, then I looked up at Regina who shared the same shocked expression until an evil grin formed on my face. Then before any of them had time to react I threw them back against the tree with my powers, the blow knocking them all unconscious while I just stand there laughing. Pan grabs my hand from behind me and turns me around, he had a very impressed and proud look on his face when he looked at me."That's my strong Lost Girl" he said pulling me into a hug and planting a kiss on my lips "Now let's get out of here before they wake up, and deal with those at camp"I nodded and teleported us just outside of the camp.

When we got there we watched as David, Hook and Neal looked over the Lost Boys. We saw Wendy sitting next to Neal and Felix being watched over by Hook farthest from the rest of the Lost Boys."How are we going to get Felix's attention without alerting the others?" I asked"Easy, you turn invisible and sneak over to him" Pan said"And how do I speak to him without Hook hearing? He's literally right there!""Here" Pan said holding out his hand, a piece of paper appeared in it and he handed it to me"Distract Hook and give this to Felix"I nodded and took the paper, turning invisible, and walking as quietly as possible to Felix. I picked up a rock and threw it passed Hook and watched as it hit a tree. Hook turned in the direction of the sound and went to check it out while I ran closer to Felix and handed him the note."Read it" I whispered in his ear before running back to Pan.Pan and I watched as Felix looked around for a second before unfolding the paper and reading it. He looked around again and stopped when he saw Pan and I hiding near a tree, then he looked away quickly as he heard Hook approach him. Hook saw the movement and looked at where Felix just was, I turned Pan and I invisible as Hook walked towards us then teleported closer to Felix."Hey!" I whisperedFelix looked down at us."What are you doing here!?" he whispered backI was about to respond but Pan beat me to it,"How the hell did this happen!?" Pan interjected without answering the question"Sleeping spell, what happened with the others?" Felix said"They're currently knocked out" I said proudly"What are we going to do about them?" Pan asked nodding towards the three men"We could use the same sleeping spell, untie they boys and run?" I suggested"But we don't know if the others have woken up and are on their way back, or how close they might be already" Pan saidI sighed "Well we can't just sit here, they could find us any minute" I said"Yeah about that, Hide!" Felix warnedWe saw Hook walking back towards us and I once again turned Pan and I invisible."Who were you talking to boy?" Hook spat at Felix"No one, just myself" Felix responded"Oh really? Cause I could have sworn I heard two other voice" Hook said walking to where Pan and I were hiding. I teleported Pan and the box away, back to Skull Rock, just in time for Hook to grab my arm causing me to become visible again."Oh look what we have here" he said "Pan's little 'girlfriend'" Hook chuckled"Let go of her!" Felix shoutedBut Hook ignored him and dragged me to the center where everyone else could see me"Where's Snow and Emma!?" David asked immediatelyBut I stayed silent and just glared at the three men. Hook shook me by my arm and yelled."Answer the question girl!"I looked at him and spat in his face, he threw me to the ground to wipe his face. Felix stood up quickly but Neal walked over and pushed him back down."You stay put" he said before looking at Hook "Here, put this on her so she can't get away with her powers" Neal then tossed a very familiar bracelet to Hook, who caught it and quickly placed it on my wrist."Like to see you get away now" Hook chuckled before picking me up by my arm again and placing me on a rock next to where Wendy was sitting."Now Neal and Wendy have told us that you've been helping Pan this entire time, and we'd like to know why" Hook said"Oh I bet you would" I spat back"Come on, Fern, you and Henry used to be super close after you came to Storybrooke with your father and his Merry Men" David tried to reason"Oh PLEASE! That boy was the most annoying kid in that stupid town! I only got close to him to learn the best way to hurt Regina" I admitted"Hurt Regina? Why? She's been nothing but a mother figure to you and your brother" David saidI scoffed "Yeah, leave it to the woman who killed my mother to try and act like my new one" I rolled my eyes"So you're saying all of this was because, non surprisingly, Regina killed someone?" David sighed"Well, that's why I agreed to help. But Pan needed Henry so he wouldn't die, which I'm assuming a little birdy already told you" I said glaring in Wendy's direction"You leave her alone, she's done nothing to you" Neal said getting defensive"She exists, that's what she did" I spat"She might have been a bit jealous of me since we first met" Wendy whispered to Neal"Shut up, you're lucky they put this thing on me or your heart would be outside of your chest already" I said annoyed"Well you still haven't answered my first question. Where are they?" David asked againI rolled my eyes and sighed "At Pan's tree, taking a quick little cat nap. If they haven't already woken up that is" I said"And Pan?" Hook asked"Wouldn't you like to know" I said with a smug look on my face"We would, actually, and while you're at it tell me where my father is" Neal said"He's safe, with your dad, but I'm not giving away his location. That'd be stupid""Now you listen here little girl!" Hook spat at me while I just glared"Okay, that's enough you two!" David said "We got all she is willing to share. All we can do now is wait for the others to return"Hook rolled his eyes and walked back towards Felix."Why don't we ask them if they know where Pan would be?" Neal suggested gesturing towards the Lost Boys, but I looked at each of the boys and shook my head. That slight movement cause Hook to grab me again and drag me away."You better not say a word to them or else!" he threatenedI just smirked up at him then let out a small chuckle, "Hurt me and they won't say anything more to you!" I said"What do you mean by that?" David asked walking towards Hook and I"All the younger boys here look up to me as a mother figure, and the older boys view me as a sister which make them very protective. Any harm to me and you'll cause a lot more trouble than I think you want" I said with a laugh and a slight nod toward the boys direction.Hook and David looked over and all the boys that we were in view were glaring at Hook, who was still holding tightly onto my arm. Hook let me go again and led me back next to Wendy."Fine, we'll wait then" Neal said sitting in between Wendy and I.

A few hours later Snow, Emma and Regina came walking into camp. David immediately ran to Snow and made sure she was alright while Neal and Hook ran to Emma's side "awkward" I thought to myself with quiet chuckle. Regina walked straight in my direction glaring at me."I see you caught yourself a backstabber" She scowled"Nice to see you too Regina" I said with a hint of sarcasm"Are you all okay?" David asked still standing with Snow"Yeah, but I've got a killer headache" Emma said rubbing her head"Sorry, didn't mean to push back so far" I joked"Shut it you little-" Regina started raising her hand to me"Regina, I wouldn't" Hook warned"Why not? Obviously Robin wasn't good at disciplining her, just doing what he couldn't" Regina said turning to the pirate"Well when we get back to Storybrooke the Merry Men can deal with her, but right now we need to get Henry's heart back. Where's Pan?" Emma said looking around"Don't know, she teleported him away before we could grab him" Hook said"And you didn't think to ask the others?" Regina scoffed"We did, but now that Fern's here they'll only listen to her" Neal said"Are you kidding me!?" Regina shouted frustrated"Yeah, sorry. Trust me, Felix finds it annoying to" I laughed looking at himHe just gave me a look as if to say "Not the time".Emma sighed and crouched down in front of me, looking me in my eyes."Come on Fern, neither of your parents would want this for you" Emma tried to reasonI just rolled my eyes "Then maybe they should have done what your parents did""What are you talking about? What is she talking about?" Emma asked now looking at Snow and David, who both looked shocked that I knew their secret."Oh! You two haven't told her?" I laughed "Typical parents, always hiding things from their kids""What are you going on about now?" Hook asked in annoyance"Well I'm assuming everyone of you already know Emma's a product of true love?" I started, everyone nodded "Well, so am I" I looked at Regina to see her expression, she looked a little hurt and annoyed to know my mom was my father's first true love before her. "And a child that is a product of true love can be born pure or evil. Snow and Charming were so afraid of Emma being evil they did something terrible to make sure that wouldn't happen, however my parents didn't know until I first started showing signs of magic. They turned to Rumple who bound my powers and then kept the secret from me for years" I finished"Wait, what did you two do to ensure I'd be born good?" Emma asked still looking at her parents"Emma this really isn't the time, Henry's-" Snow tried to change the subject"Don't use my son to distract me, what did you two do!?""Emma they're right, we need to focus on Henry right now" Neal said placing a hand on Emma's shoulder as comfort.Emma sighed "Fine, but as soon as Henry is safe and back home we will be discussing this" Emma said"Now what are we going to do about Pan?" Neal asked"I could enter Fern's memory to see where he is, she wouldn't have had time to remove it herself" Regina suggested "How? We don't have a dream catcher" Emma saidI almost started laughing at how stupid she was being, but I held it back."This is Neverland, Emma, just think of what you want and it appears in your hand" Neal said"Oh, right" Emma saidShe closed her eyes and held her and out, then a dream catcher appeared. Regina took it and turned towards me, holding the dream catcher up to my head. Just before she could use it, however, Pan came flying in and grabbed it out of her hand and broke it in half."No need for that now, I'm here" he said not looking too happy to see the leather cuff on my wrist"About time, now to do what I was planning earlier" Regina said walking towards Pan"Ah ah, let her go first" Pan said stepping back"Yeah, that's not happening mate" Hook said"Then you won't get Henry's heart back" Pan said crossing his arms"Fine" Regina said through gritted teeth before grabbing my arm and taking the cuff off "But you better not try anything!" Regina said before letting go of my wrist "There, it's off" Regina threw the cuff at Pan "Now Henry's heart"Pan stepped closer and just as he got right in front of Regina he looked and nodded at me. I opened my hand and blew some poppy seed powder in Regina's face causing her to collapse to the ground, then did the same to the others. As soon as they all fell to the ground Pan and I started untying each of the Lost Boys. Pan grabbed Wendy and then lead us away from our main camp and to one of our backup camps.
