The Light (Part 2)

Squad MThey all arrived back at the bar, Mr. Charlie running up to them, helping Marinette.

Ladybug: This is Ladybug, my squad and I arrived back at headquarters. I suffered injury to my right leg, so I'll be sending some of my teammates over to your locations. Squad A, you'll be receiving Viperion and Cat Noir, Squad L, you'll be receiving both Ryuko and Cockerel. eta, 2 minutes, sending them now, they're on their way.

Rena: Sending our location.

Volpina: Ours as well. Hurry.

Ladybug switched off the coms, being set down by both Damian and Mr. Charlie on one of the chairs. She turned to her squad members.

Marinette: You do not take orders from them, you only take and carry out orders by me. And just go on instinct, that's another option. But mainly, don't get killed. Cockerel, I have a specific assignment for you, help the other devils find Ivan, with your ability it'll be a lot easier. Now get going.

The four left in their respective directions following the locations sent by the other squads. Marinette just sat there on the chair looking at the arrow through her leg.

Marinette: Can one of you just pull it out...

Damian: But..-

Mr. Charlie: If you want it to heal, then it has to be removed. If you want I could..-

Damian: I'll do it. *deep breath* Okay..-

Marinette: How about you just break the end of the arrow off here and just pull the arrow head out.

Mr. Charlie: I was going to suggest that before you cut me off.

Damian: Ok, ok.

He did as he was told, Joe (bar tender/ owner) bringing the first aid kit. As Damian pulled it out, Marinette groaned in pain, blood all over the arrow stick. She relax her leg as they placed the bandages around her thigh. The wound began to close but a little bit of blood managed to slip through. Damian began to roll down the neck-top of his uniform when Marinette stopped him, giving him a death glare. ~~~~~

Squad AThe two boys finally made it to the building that was still in flames, the fire department doing their best to put it out.

Chat: Ladybug, we've arrived.

Ladybug: *groans* Ok...Adrien, put out the fire. Viperion, help your sis and Pigella with the evacuation. Get on it, once you've cleared that up, help Rena with the villains.

Chat/Viperion: On it!~~~~~

Squad LRyuko: Ladybug, reporting. We're in the vicinity, what should we do?

Ladybug: Cockerel, you already have your orders, get on it.

Cockerel: Yes ma'am.

Ladybug: Ryuko, help the b*tch fend off those villains. Don't die, Viperion would kill me..-

Viperion: I can hear you..

Ladybug: Yeah, Yeah... Alright, get to it! I'll send Robin If help is needed.

She switched it off once again, the environment now quiet, nothing but ringing. Joe then walked over to us with a glass of water in his hand for Marinette to drink. She took it and gave it back to him. The rest of the night was silent. ~~~~~~~~~~

Squad AAdrien got down thanks to Viperion. He went over to the fire truck and aimed his hand at the water it sprayed. His eyes turned purple as he controlled the water to move in sync with his movements, forcing it over the building. He focused his power and the water amount got larger and bigger until the entire building was covered with its shadow. Viperion got out of the building with the last of the civilians.

He looked up and his eyes widened. The bubble of water fell upon the building. Everyone within a few meters would be soaking wet. The water made impact with the ground below. The werwolves' fur were drenched while the vamps just stood their, displeased. The villains however were pushed a good ways back away from the scene, pissed. The shivering werewolves turned to Chat, water free.

Rena: *shivers* If you-u were p-planning on giving e-everyone a ba-ath, then maybe you s-s-should've gotten wet as w-well..

Chat: My bad.

Viperion: Ladybug, status update, civilians were saved and the flames on the building are out.

Juleka: And we got an extra bath thanks to the cat.

Ladybug: Good work you two...and Squad A but your leader is supposed to tell you guys that. Anyway...the villains?

Bunnix: The Cat is also responsible for them getting away.

Monkey: *shivers* More l-like he w-washed-d them a-away..-

Chat: Alright I get it! I'm sorry, want me to go put them in jail now!?

Rena: ok, ok. Honest m-mistake. Anywho, the m-mission was well do-one and carried out-t. No one was h-hurt nor harmed other than g-getting splashed.

Mr. Charlie: Good to hear. Return immediately. ~~~~~

Squad LThe two jumped down, Ryuko landing a hit on the man in the blue coat with a freeze ray. She backfliped away from him and landed next to Max. Cockerel ran over to the other devils. He placed his hand on the building rubble, his eyes glowed purple. "Found him! He's over there!" he exclaimed, Polymouse following right behind him. They each used their telekinesis to lift up the debris to reveal him lying on the ground, unresponsive.

Polymouse dragged him up to the surface, teleporting both him and her back to headquarters. The devils turned their attention over to the enemies and helped the others with their attack. Within a few minutes, Lila was now being held by her neck with a knife a few centimeters away. She shrieked and struggled, trying to get out of the Joker's hand. When he released her. "We'll continue this some other days, kids. This was fun."

He then disappeared into a cloud smoke along with his friends. The squad all sighed as Chloe teleported them back to headquarters. When they arrived they saw both Marinette and Ivan lying next to each other, Milene at Ivan's side. Marinette's hand hovered over Ivan, a red mist circled around it. She moved it up and down his body, Lie-la intervening.

Lie-la: What are you doing to my teammate, Marinette?! *grabs hand*

Marinette: Oh, would you shut up, I'm trying to save him, now let go! Or do you want him to die!?!

Lie-la: What!! Of course not!

Marinette: Then let me do my thing. *glares*

The said girl released her hand and so Marinette was finally able to continue. She trailed her hand over his face and soon after, he began to cough up blood, regaining consciousness. Marinette sighing deeply. "Ivan!!" the worried soulmate yelled. She hugged him around his neck to the point where he couldn't breathe anymore. He tapped her back a few times and so she released her grip just a little bit, him hugging back.

Marinette looked up to feel a hand on her head, Damian. He smiled, "Well done, habibti." She smiled in return, looking back over at the two soulmates next to them. She then turned her gaze over to Lie-la, glaring at her deeply.

MarinetteWhat the hell are you planning, Ms. Rossi? It's like she didn't want to save him and I felt a weird pull on my hand when she grabbed it.

Marinette: I know this is kind of rude and insensitive of me to ask at a time like this after what you've been through, but, what exactly happened?

Ivan: I don't know. We heard a small explosion go off and the building began to fall. I tried jumping out of the way like everyone else only to notice that my limbs and my body weren't responding like they usually do. It's like....I wasn't supernatural...anymore...

His blood did seem off. His blood flow, pressure and amount was lowered and it was almost near the color of a light shade. Which meant it must've been tampered with. You could say that werwolves have somewhat of a 'healthy' diet so their blood reflected that...or it could just be Damian's, but their blood is usual dark and healthy. So why wasn't his. I didn't want to tell him this to make him more worried, or Milene.

Marinette: Strange. Any reason as to why?

Ivan: No. I was fine and I didn't feel any difference until that moment.

Marinette: Thanks Ivan for telling me. I know it must've been a terrifying experience for you. I won't bother you anymore on the subject.

Milene: Thanks Marinette for saving Ivan. I could never thank you enough.

I smiled and waved my hands like if it were nothing.

Mr. Charlie: Alright gang, gather around. Tomorrow you'll give your reports on the situation. It's getting late and there are two injured. Both of you are on a week vacation away from work.

Marinette: Huh!!??!?

Mr. Charlie: That's right. So, your second in command will take over for you, Marinette. You are all free to leave. Have a good night, see you tomorrow.

Oh great.... But that means Damian will be leader for the week...the chaos. I could only imagine.
