Patrol with Squad A

AlyaUniversity just ended and Nino and I walked out of the compound to meet Alix and Kim by the gate.

Alya: Hey lovebirds.

Nino: What up my dudes.

Kim: Hey, have you guys seen Max? I can't find him.

Alix: Poor baby couldn't find his friend anywhere. You guys goin to patrol later?

Alya: Of course. *ding* Oh that's my phone.

I opened and clicked on the newest message I received in iChat. It was from Lila. I scrolled through all the way down to the very last one. Holy..

Nino: What's wring, babe?

Alya: Lila just sent word of a new name for the villain organization. They are calling themselves the 'Light'. Oh...and there's word here that Max is with Lila right now and he confirmed it. C'mon Nino, we gotta go. See you guys later!

Kim: Uhh....ok...~~~~~

Nino: Where are we going, Alya?

Alya: Well first thing I'm feeling for some ice cream and two, I need to call everyone else to tell them. Starting with Mari.

I decided to do a group call with Mari and Kagami. I dialed the numbers and it rang for a few times before they picked up.~~~~~Marinette: Hey girls. You saw the news?

Alya: Only five times. I couldn't get a clear pic of the devils. Their faces could've been evidence and maybe a clue to what the 'Light' is planning.

Kagami: Yeah, Luka an I..- Wait, the 'Light'? Who the hell is that?

Alya: They've finally came up with a name for the evil organization. That was news from Lila..-

Marinette/Kagami: And you believed it!?

Why do they not like Lila? She's just trying to help and she's helped them as well. She's even said that they were the ones that threatened her and blatantly disobeyed her orders and requests sent by Mr. Charlie.

Alya: Well, it's not like she was lying. Max did some search reference and hacking and got the same results. I don't know why you guys are teamed up against Lila, she's just trying to do her part.

Marinette: We all are Alya but...my instincts are telling me not to trust her. There's something off about her.

Kagami: I've only known Marinette since the time we became Nettie and Drake Fencer. I know that whatever she thinks isn't right right, or if there's a feeling or instinct, it shouldn't be taken lightly or brushed off.

Alya: Look...I know that too, but I have to disagree. Anyways, Cherry just wanted me to check in to see if you two are joining us for patrol later tonight.

Marinette/ Kagami: Yeah.

Alya: Ok, we'll see you guys later.~~~~~Why can't they just get along? *sigh* I turned to Nino who had a worried face on. I smiled at him and pulled him the rest of the way towards the ice cream. It was already getting late so Nino and I left our apartment and headed over to the bar. We had finally arrived to see my entire squad there already waiting, Lila's squad, and Marinette's squad only half occupied. 

Nino and I sat at our table and talked for a while. ~~~~~You see, Nino and I grew up in Paris and later on we moved here in Gotham after getting accepted into our college choice. How we got the job however was nothing short of unexpected. In the second week of school, we received an email from an unknown person. We checked it out and so we went to see where and what it was, following the directions.

We both came across a bar and so we went in. There sat a man at one of the tables and a few other kids occupying the rest. A scent then filled the air. One that was off, one that was unsettling. Behind us, someone just came in. A girl my age with midnight blue hair and bluebell eyes, and with her were two guys around Nino's age, one with black hair and grassy green eyes, and one with blonde hair and emerald green eyes.

They stood next to us, the girl nodding. I nodded back. That's when the man got up and walked over to us.

Mr. Charlie: Hello. My name's Mr. Charlie and I'm your commander officer. From now on, you'll be working here.

... ... .... ....

Marinette: You could've just put that in the email...

Adrien: Agreed.

Damian: And I don't really know what this jobs about and I'm pretty sure you're supposed to apply not be recruited.

Marinette: But Hey, on the bright side, we'll be surrounded by breeds our age. What fun. *sarcasm*

Nino: So What job is this exactly?

Mr. Charlie: Simple. A protection and defensive job. But of course if you don't want to do it then..-

Marinette: Do I get to beat evil people up?

Damian: ..Angel...

Mr. Charlie: ...Yes...?

Marinette: I'm in. How much do we get paid?

Mr. Charlie: Umm...the government pays you guys but before that I need to recruit you.

Marinette: Well, you just got three more recruits, Cherry.

The way she spoke was so confident, without doubt. I must admit I was amazed and honestly looked up to her.

Alya: I don't mind.

Nino: Wait...really...?!

Alya: Why not. It'll be fun. *smiles* That's two more you've got there, sir. ~~~~~Ever since that day, Marinette and I became close friends and soon after she introduced us to her family and we introduce ours to them. I couldn't ask for a better bestie. But ever since Lila joined, she hasn't been the same. She's been distant with everyone and so has her squad. That's when Marinette, Damian and Adrien arrived. Mr. Charlie later walked in and began.

Mr. Charlie: Hey gang, here's the report thus far. Nothing much has shown up but that doesn't stop you guys from going on patrol. I'll be placing you all in your respective quadrants in Gotham. Find anything, report in and we'll send reinforcements. Alright, listen up!Squad L: Downtown.Squad A: Mid city Squad M: MountainsWithout further ado, get on it.

Alya: Alright troops, let's get to it. We got mid city so this patrol is basically reconnaissance.

Kim: Aww, so no fighting..?

Alix: Quit your whining. But I have to agree I was really hoping to kick some *ss.

Juleka: But it'll be nice once in a while if there were no fighting..-

Rose: Or blood shed. Marinette hasn't really finished teaching us how to build up our blood tolerance yet. 

Nino: Well, you have the rest of us to bring you two back down to earth if that happens. K, dudettes?

Juleka/Rose: Ok.

So we paired ourselves up with help from Mr. Charlie; me with Kim, Nino with Rose, and Alix and Juleka. We were out right before Marinette's squad had left. We split up and continued our way through the city blending in with the darkness.

On the squad comsRena Rouge: How's everyone doing?

Pigella: We're ok.

Bunnix: Fine at the moment. Nothing suspicious as yet.

Rena Rouge: We'll keep in touch.

I switched off the coms temporarily until it was needed again. King Monkey and I stopped for a moment as there were a lot of people down below so we took the opportunity to scan the crowds. Later, about a few minutes the rest of my squad appeared behind us. It was Juleka and Rose with their partners.

Purple Tigress/Pigella: Something's not right.

As they spoke that an explosion went off in the city a few blocks away. A building collapsed downtown near the old warehouse and I swear I could feel the ground shaking, but not in the city, up on the mountains. Oh crap...
