MarinetteMy College day was over. I was walking out of the compound over to my car (red of course and a jaguar no less, Damian bought it for my birthday last month) getting in and starting it.

Dami said he was gonna be a bit late so I waited. I turned on the morning news since I missed it this morning and watched. ~~~~~Good morning Gotham, I'm Cat Grant (just used her from Young Justice) coming to you live with the news. Yesterday evening, prime minister Lex Luthor gave a speech on the vampire termination and outbreak we just witnessed in Metropolis. Two devils showed up and took them away, this was the live footage we received.

This is live at the Meeting house in Metropolis with Lex Luthor. Let's see what he has to say.  

I know all the vampire outbreaks and attacks are becoming more fluent and recent and more vile to the point of killing a person. The government and I are, as we speak, thinking of a way to stop this. But I have two special guests joining me, the two Devils who saved the civilians from the vampires earlier today. Thank you, my gratitude knows no bounds.

And that was all from prime minister Lex Luthor. Next up, a short break then we'll be back with the weather re-~~~~~Son of a b*tch! I switched it off and placed it in the middle compartment between my seat and the passenger. That guy really knows how to piss me off. My phone then rang and saw it was Alya and Kagami group calling me. I picked it up.

Marinette: Hey girls. You saw the news?

Alya: Only five times. I couldn't get a clear pic of the devils. Their faces could've been evidence and maybe a clue to what the 'Light' is planning.

Kagami: Yeah, Luka an I..- Wait, the 'Light'? Who the hell is that?

Alya: They've finally came up with a name for the evil organization. That was news from Lila..-

Marinette/Kagami: And you believed it!?

Alya: Well, it's not like she was lying. Max did some search reference and hacking and got the same results. I don't know why you guys are teamed up against Lila, she's just trying to do her part.

Marinette: We all are Alya but...my instincts are telling me not to trust her. There's something off about her.

Kagami: I've only known Marinette since the time we became Nettie and Drake Fencer. I know that whatever she thinks isn't right right, or if there's a feeling or instinct, it shouldn't be taken lightly or brushed off.

Alya: Look...I know that too, but I have to disagree. Anyways, Cherry just wanted me to check in to see if you two are joining us for patrol later tonight.

Marinette/ Kagami: Yeah.

Alya: Ok, we'll see you guys later.

*sigh* I really didn't want to go but I have to. I heard a knock on the glass and saw Dami outside the window. I unlocked the doors and he came in and sat down, putting his things in the back seats.

Damian: Hey Angel, Sorry again.

Marinette: It's fine, Dami. I wasn't waiting that long.

Damian: You ok? You usually don't call me 'Dami' out of the blue like that unless somethings off or you're lusting for me~

Marinette: *sigh* It's the 'Light'..-

Damian: The What now?

Marinette: Lila said that..-

Damian: Stop right there. You just said a curse word, Angel. And we both know she's a lying b*tch.

Marinette: I agree with you on that point but listen, she said that that's the name they're using for their criminal organization. Max double checked it and it came through as positive so we know she isn't lying. I saw the news before you showed up and what I'm more worried about isn't Lex.....it's the vamps those Devils captured. One can only assume that they're dead. The world is out of balance, and I feel as though I could do more...

Damian: Well, that's why we're doing this job so we can protect them Angel. And the sooner you realize that you aren't going to be able to stop them. Self doubt and procrastination give you wrinkles. *smirks*

Marinette: I'm not old so don't give me that, puppy.

Damian: Y'know, I prefer Dami more so than puppy. Let's just go...

Marinette: Look who's got the wrinkles know, puppy~ *grins*~~~~~~~~~~

We arrived at our apartment building, a simple three bed, two bath, kitchen, wash room, living room, dining room...and a butler plus Titus (Damian's dog) and Emilie (my cat). Damian hired a butler named Jerry who's a devil. I fact he found him lying out on the streets by himself so we took him in. So he does some of the washing, cleaning, cooking, but of course we help him out too. We aren't kids...well...Damian's questionable.

As soon as we stepped passed the door, our pets ran up to us. Titus likes me but for some reason Emilie doesn't like Damian. Maybe because he's a werewolf aka a dog. I stretched my hand and as per usual, emilie would climb on and sit upon my neck from shoulder to shoulder on my back. She purred as I scratched her ears. I petted Titus before continuing my way into the house straight to my room.

So here's how it works. I have my own room where I have a bed, desk, manikin, sewing equipment, all of that stuff to myself, there's the visitors room and then there's Damian's room, aka our room. I'd something sleep in my room if I feel up to it and the other times I'd just sleep with him. Where does the butler sleep? I have no clue. He kinda reminds me of Alfred...and I don't even know what breed he is if he's one at all.

I began my research or homework, feeding my cat then starting my fashion designing by sketching out some of my ideas. I heard a knock at my door and Emilie got twitchy. Did I mention she's my familiar...? No...well now you know. It must be Damian. I said come in and he walked in over to me. In his hand was a tray of cookies. "Thanks" I simply said.

He rested it down on my desk next to me. He wrapped his arms around my neck checking out my designs so far, looking over my shoulder. He kissed my cheek before saying, "Angel, you have 2 hours until it's time to get ready for patrol." he left closing the door. I sighed as I continued to sketched, taking a bite of one of my cookies.
