The Whole World is Watching

Bucky; Well th Wakadans are here. They want Zemo. Bought us some more time.

Sam; Were you followed?

Bucky; No

Zemo; How can you be so sure?

Bucky; Because I know when I'm being followed. Plus, she would know as soon as I walked in.

Zemo; I was sweet of you to defend me at least.

You; Hey, you shut it. No one's defending you. You killed Nagel.

Zemo; Do we really have to litigate about what may or may not have happened?

Sam; There's nothing to litigate about, you straight shot the man.

Bucky; Sam.

Sam; What?

Bucky; Karli bombed the GRC supply depot.

Sam; What? What's the damage?

Bucky; 11 injured, 3 dead. They have a list of demands and are promising more attacks if those demands aren't met.

Zemo: She's getting worse. I have the will to complete this mission. Do they 3 of you?

Sam: She's just a kid.

Zemo: You're seeing something in her that isn't there. You're clouded by it. She's a supremacist. The very concept of a Super Soldier will always trouble people. It's that warped aspiration that led to the Nazis,  to Ultron, to the Avengers.

Sam: Hey, that's our friends you're talking about.

Bucky: The Avengers, not the Nazis.

Sam: So, Karli is radicalized, but there has to be a peaceful way to stop her.

Zemo: The desire to become a superhuman cannot be separated from supremacist ideals. Anyone with that serum is inherently on that path. She will not stop. She will escalate until you kill her. Or she kills you.

Bucky: Maybe you're wrong, Zemo. The serum never corrupted Steve.

Zemo: Touche. But there has never been another Steve Rogers has there.

You: Well, maybe we should give him to the Wakadans right now.

Zemo: And you'll give up your tour guide.

You: Yes.

Sam: From my understanding, Donya is like a pillar of the community, right? So, when I was a kid my TT passed away.

Bucky: Your TT?

Sam: Yeah, man, my TT.

Bucky: Who is your TT?

Sam: Fine. When I was a kid my Aunt passed away and the entire neighborhood got together for a ceremony. It was like a week long. Maybe they're doing the same thing for Donya.

Bucky: Worth a shot.

Zemo: Your TT would be proud of you. Turkish delight. 

Zemo throws a Turkish delight to Sam and he catches it with ease.

Zemo: Irresistible.

-In Town-

Zemo: Shame what's become of this place. When I was young, I used to come here for fabulous dinners and parties. I knew nothing of the politics, at the time, of course, but I remember it being beautiful.

Sam: I'm gonna take a look upstairs. See what you can find out here. And keep an eye on him.

Zemo: I'll stay out of your way, so the 2 of you can go.

You and Bucky walk around to 3 people hanging out washing.

Bucky: Donya? No?

You, Sam, and Bucky walk back over to where Zemo is.

(Singing)Zemo: Baa, Baa, black sheep have you any wool? Yes, sir, yes, sir, 3 bags full. 1 for my master, 1 for the dame, and 1 for the little girl who lives down the lane.

You(to Sam and Bucky): He isn't even singing the words right.

You are all watching Zemo with the kids. He pours out some Turkish delights and starts talking to a little girl.

Sam: It's starting to feel like a dead end.

Bucky: The hell is he doing?

Zemo: Do you see these people here? They're very bad. Not to be trusted.

You place a hand over your heart pretending to be hurt. Zemo gives the kids the rest of the sweets and walks back over to you 3.

Zemo: Cute kids.

-Zemo's Hideout-

You all walk back to Zemo's place.

You: Well, we got nothin'. No one's talkin' about Donya.

Sam: Yeah, it's because Karli is the only one fighting for them. And she's not wrong. 

You sit down on the couch next to Sam.

Bucky: What do you mean?

Sam: For 5 years people have been welcomed into countries that have kept them out using barbwire. There were houses and jobs. Folks were happy to have people around to help them rebuild. It wasn't just one community coming together, it was the entire world coming together. And then, boom. Just like that, it goes right back to the way it used to be. To them, at least Karli's doin' somethin'.

Bucky: You really think her ends justify her means? Then, she's no different than him or anyone else we've fought.

Sam: She's different. She's not motivated by the same things.

Zemo comes over with a plate of drinks

You: That little girl. What'd she tell you?

Zemo: The funeral is this afternoon.

Bucky: You know the Dora's coming for you any minute. In fact, they're probably lurking outside right now. Keep talking.

Zemo: Leaving you to turn on me once we get to Karli. Hmm. I prefer to keep my leverage.

Bucky gets up and walks over to Zemo grabbing the glass out of his hands and throwing it at the wall.

Bucky: You wanna see what someone can do with leverage?

Sam gets up and walks to Bucky you following him.

Sam: Take it easy. Don't engage him. He's just going to extort you and do that dumb head tilt thing. Let me make a call.

Sam walks around Zemo and hits Buckys arm before walking away. You stand there next to Bucky.

Zemo: Want some cherry blossom tea?

Bucky: No, you go ahead.

You practically push Bucky away from Zemo before you had to get involved in their argument.

-The Streets-

Walker: Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guy's to be doing this

Bucky: Ah! How'd you find us now?

Lemar: Come on. You think 3 Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?

Walker: No more keeping us in the dark. You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison.

You: He did that himself, technically.

Walker: This better be an unbelievable explana...

Sam: Take it easy before it gets weird.

Zemo: I know where Karli is.

You, Bucky, and Zemo all try to walk away, but Walker stops him in his tracks.

Walker: Well, where?

Sam: All we know is it's a memorial. So we're going to intercept her there.

Lemar: That means civilians. High risks of casualties.

You all start to walk in the direction where you came from.

Walker: All right, good, we'll move in fast. Take her by surprise.

Sam: No, I wanna talk to her alone.

Walker: I'm not losing her again.

You: Look, the person closest to her died. She's vulnerable. Now is the best time to reason with her.

Walker: What? No. Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay.?

He runs in front of everyone.

Walker: I think we're way past reasoning with her unless you forgot the fact that she blew up an entire building with people still in it.

Lemar: Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you.

Sam: If I go in hot and the op goes wrong, more people will die.

Walker: You 2 are letting him do this? Are you going to let your partner walk in there with a Super Soldier alone?

You: He's dealt with worse

Bucky: And he's not our partner.

Sam: I used to counsel soldiers dealing with trauma, okay? This is in my wheelhouse 

Walker: I know. And I know those soldiers, which is why I know this is a bad idea

Lemar: Wait, John. If he can talk her down, it might be worth a try.

Walker: We'll deal with you later.

Zemo: I'm sure it will all come to an agreeable conclusion. My associate is just up ahead.

You all look towards the girl then Bucky leads the way with you, Sam, Zemo, Lemar, and Walker.

Zemo: Hello, my friend. This is for your family.

He pulls out a $500 note and giving it to her.

Zemo: Can you show us the way?

She motions for you all to follow, which you did.

Walker: What the what?

You get into a building and the girl opens the door pointing up.

Zemo: Karli's in there.

Sam follows the girl while you all stand there. But Walker grabs Zemo and handcuffs one of his hands to a bar.

Walker: Hey, you got 10 minutes.

Zemo: Really?

Walker: Then we're doing things my way.

You: Aggressive. But he gets it.

You're sitting on a table, Bucky's leaning on a hand railing, Walkers just standing around, and Lemar's leaning on the table.

Zemo(Using a Russian accent): So, Y/n, I thought we could talk for a bit.

You(Using Russian accent): I like your thinking.

Walker: Your Russian, but Steve's not

You: No. I'm not. I was kidnapped by HYDRA when I was one, so I was around Russian people for my whole life basically. I was taught to speak and sound Russian and Sokovian.

Walker: Oh, but why now.

You(To Zemo speaking Russian): Ha, let's give him 2 minutes, then he will find it intimidating.

Zemo(In Russian): I reckon he already does.

-A Little While Later-

You have moved about 3 times to different places. You are now next to Bucky sitting on the steps in front of the door. John is pacing up and down the area, you're in.

Walker: Uh-uh. No, no, no. This is a bad idea.

Bucky: It hasn't been 10 minutes, John. Just sit tight.

Walker: Don't do that. Don' patronize me.

You: He knows what he's doing.

Walker grabs his shield and paces down to you.

Walker: I'm goin' in.

Bucky pushes him back away from the door and you.

Walker: This is all really easy for you, isn't it? All that serum runnin' through your veins. Barnes, Rogers your partner needs backup in there. Do you really want his blood on your hands?

You look down, then John and Lemar walk past you and Bucky into the room upstairs. When you get up there you and Bucky try to keep Lemar back.

Walker: Karli Morgenthou you are under arrest.

Karli: This is what that was?

Sam: No, Karli, wait.

Karli: Tricking me until help came?

Walker: Nah, I think we had enough time to talk.

Karli: Nazis.

Walker: Why don't you.

She punches the shield away from her causing John to get pushed backward, while she ran off. You and Bucky chase her up the stairs and then she jumps off a railing where a group of people was. You both follow her but 2 men stop you grabbing Bucky's arms, you jump over the men and Bucky soon pushes past them. You run up some more stairs and see Sam.

Bucky: We lost her.

Sam: This place is a maze.
