Chapter 36: Megumi vs. Nue Pt. 1

Iri's POV

It was the day of the finals and I was sitting next to Ino. It's strange. Nue has been disappearing during the days lately. She wouldn't tell me or Maria where she was going. She would just say she's going out and just like that, she's gone.

I even noticed Nue sneaking out at night. "Way to go, Naruto!" I cheered. Naruto had just won his match against Neji. "All right. Next up is Megumi Kuro and Nue Houjuu Satori." Genma announced. "It's Nue's turn. Where is she?" Ino asked.

"I don't know. Sasuke hasn't arrived yet either." I noticed. Ino sat on the right of me while Maria sat on my left. "I still can't believe Nue-sama hasn't arrived yet. Do you think she's okay?" Maria asked. "I hope so." Ino said.

"Anko must be working her to the bone to be this late." I said. "Aah, Anko-san. You can imagine how scary she must be when she's training someone. Oh, how I'd love to see her face right now." Maria said as she began to blush while holding her face.

I'm starting to think Maria's a lesbian. "Come on! Start the match already!" People started to yell. "Uh-oh." I muttered. This crowd is getting pretty impatient. Where the hell is Nue? "Since the opponent is not here, this match is officially..." Genma paused when a swirl of fire appeared before of him.

When the fire dispersed... Nue and Anko were standing there! I noticed Nue's outfit was new. Instead of her normal attire, she wore what looked like a dark school uniform. She still wore her cloak, but it was a little shorter as it stopped her at thighs.

"Nue!" Ino and I cheered in sync. "Right on time." Maria said. I smiled at my sister, seeing how grown up she's gotten. 'Good luck, imouto' I thought.

Nue's POV

"You were cutting it pretty close there, Anko." The proctor said. "Yeah, sorry about that. There was a few things we had to take care of." Anko said. "Uh-huh. And this is..?" He asked, gesturing to me. "Nue. Nue Houjuu Satori." I answered.

"All right. My name is Genma, and I'll be your proctor. Your opponent is her." The proctor said, pointing to a girl. She had long brown hair and green eyes as she held a smirk on her face.

(Instead of her outfit looking like that, it looks like this)

"Good luck Nue. Remember your training." Anko said.

I nodded before she teleported away. "If you two are ready, you two can begin." Genma said. Megumi smirked and I saw her teleport. Damm, she's fast. I looked around, trying to find her until I fell to the ground when I felt something hit me from behind.

I looked back me and saw Megumi smiling down at me like a creep. "Hiya. Nice to see you again, Nue Houjuu." She said with a wink. "Again?" I repeated with a frown. I gasped as she picked me up by the front of my cloak and got close to my face.

"We weren't properly introduced before! I'm Megumi!" She greeted as she kneed me in the stomach and chuckled. I glared up at her as I held my stomach. Not only did this girl look nuts, but she was also strong as hell. 

"It's gonna take more than that to defeat me." I told her as I stood to my feet. "As I thought, you're just my type. I think I'm falling in love." Megumi said. I ignored her and fought her with taijutsu.

"Awesome! You're good! I can see why Lord Orochimaru wants you!" She said as dodged my attacks. I jumped back and did some hand signs. "Lightning Style: Raging Fang!" I charged at her and struck her in the chest.

I gasped when I realized my attack was having any effect on her. Megumi smirked and stabbed my arm with a kunai knife. I closed one of my eyes, enduring the pain before doing three backflips, getting some space between me and her.

'Why didn't that work? My attack should've at least stunned her' I thought. "If you think a little electricity will stop me, then you've wasted your time in your training." Megumi said. I growled in anger. "Ninja Art: Shadow Snakes!"

I shot my arms out and the snakes wrapped around her tightly. I watched as they began to squeeze the life out of her. "I knew it. You are the real deal." Megumi said as she smirked. She shut her eyes and grunted as my snakes squeezed her more tightly.

"What does Orochimaru want with me? Tell me!" I demanded coldly. "He says you hold unspeakable power... That you will be his without fail." She said as she tried to breathe. "What are you talking about?" I demanded.

"You haven't figured it out? What a pity." Megumi teleported out of my snakes' hold and appeared a few feet away from me. "You've changed. Even at a young age, you would tried to change yourself." She said, angrily.

I narrowed my eyes as I saw her nails beginning grow. My eyes widened and she came at me with a kunai knife. I pulled out a knife my own and we fought head on. Our weapons clashed together as we fought.

We both skidded back and stared at each other. "How do you know me?" I demanded. She began to laugh. "You don't remember, do you? I was there when it happened." Megumi said. "When what happened?" I asked with a frown.

I grunted and grabbed the side of my head with one hand. Damn, not now. "You feel it, don't you? You can't ignore it." Megumi smirked. "Shut up!" I snapped before throwing the kunai knife at her. She caught it and smirked at me.

"Hard to believe that you're the last one. Argh! And yet no matter how many times I try to convince you, you'll just keep ignoring me!" She said as she frantically began to scratch her head with both hands.

Megumi began to growl. "Dammit! Why won't you remember?! At this rate, I'll have to go against my master's orders and kill you!" Megumi said as she began pull out her hair while scratching at it some more.

I narrowed my eyes as she began chuckled darkly. "But, oh, well. Lord Orochimaru wants you so badly, he might even kill me just to so he can have you. But none of that matters now. Because I'm the one who's going to have you, not him."  Megumi said as she continued to laugh.

While she was distracted, I quickly ran at her. "Who..." I muttered. Using my speed, I swiftly cut off her arm. "...is going to kill who?" I questioned, darkly. Her arm fell off and she began to scream in agony as she grabbed her wound and stumbled back.

Her cries of pain soon turned into dark laughter. "That's right. Enjoy the cries of my pain. Hear the sounds of my agony. You'll soon remember." She said, smiling wickedly. This girl is definitely crazy.

"But even so..." My eyes widened slightly when she was somehow quickly in front of me. But I kept my emotionless face. 'She's almost too fast' I thought. 

"You came here because you wanted to kill more people, right? I mean, that's what Nues do when they get bored. How ironic of humans to be killed when they're least expected. Wouldn't you agree?" Megumi said with a wicked smile

I used my Dark Style technique to create a gun and shot at her. She quickly backed off and landed in a crouching position. "You want to kill me so badly, don't you, Nue-kun? I can see it in your eyes! It's so obvious! It's spot on!" Megumi said, excitedly.

I turned around and made my gun disappear, ignoring her. "There's no point in trying to hide it. You know you want to kill me. But, hey. Nues do what they do best; and that's killing. It's the only way to keep themselves occupied." She mentioned.

"Oh, just shut it." I said, darkly.

"Huh?"

"I've heard enough out of you."

"What? You mean you don't want to know what happened that night?" Megumi asked, angrily. "No. The only thing I want is to find the person who murdered my mother and take revenge." I said. Truthfully, I really did want to know what happened that night.

But right now, I just need to focus on my match while trying to ignore this crazy chick. "No... that's not right! Liar! Liar! Liar!" Megumi shouted. She started to jump all over the place. "I have to destroy what's hindering you from remembering!" I heard her shout.

I take back what I said earlier. This girl isn't crazy. She's insane.

I didn't see her coming. Megumi lunged at me and pinned me to the wall with her forearm. 'How can she be this strong? And with one arm? I just don't get it' I thought as she firmly kept her forearm up against my throat. Megumi smirked at me she kept me in her hold.

"I love that look in your eyes. You desperately want to get out of this hold. I missed seeing those beautiful purple eyes." She said as her face got close to mine. I glared at her. I must've activated my kekkei genkai by mistake. That why she said that last part. 

'Was she really with the people in black cloaks and red clouds? I noticed she was fighting with more force. So, why-'

"So, why doesn't she move the way she usually does. Is that what you're thinking?" Megumi asked, smirking again. I gasped in shock. Is she reading my thoughts? "Your kind can be so predictable. Once we gain your trust, it's hard for you guys to not trust us. That's why you still trust Lord Orochimaru, right?" She said. She blinked her green eyes at me.

Like hell, I trust him. I hate him. What is this girl talking about? I want to kill his pedo-looking ass. -_- I need to stay away from Iri. I'm catching her words. I felt my eyes going back to their normal color.

"Come on, Nue-chan! Don't lose to that stupid Megumi girl!" I heard Naruto shout. Don't won't worry, knucklehead. I'm not going lose to her. "You're weak. Even in this state." Megumi stated. "But you know what? I'll tell you who I'm going to kill, and it's not you." Megumi smirked.

My eyes widened. "Disappointed? You see if I kill your little friends, I might have a chance of bringing back the real you." She said. The real me? I drew my head back and smashed my forehead against hers. She stumbled back, letting go of my throat.

"You... horrible bitch!" Megumi screamed at me. I looked at Megumi as she rubbed forehead. I blinked my eyes and she was gone. I gasped in surprise. "Where did she go?" I said. I stayed on guard as I looked around, trying to find her. 

"Just look... and see things... just how they are." I heard her whisper from behind me. I turned around and she stabbed my thigh. I cried out in pain before falling to my knees while grabbing my wounded leg.

I shut my eyes as the pain increased. Damn it, I wish I had located her sooner. I felt Megumi pull my hair, forcing me to look up. With my eyes were still closed, I felt her lips on mine. Is she kissing me? No, she's trying to put something in my mouth.

I put my hands on her shoulders, trying to shove her away from me, but she kept a tight grip on my hair. She gripped my hair even tighter, causing me to open my mouth. She took the opportunity to push something in my mouth with her tongue, making me accidentally swallow it.

She disengaged our mouths and threw my head back as I fell on the ground. I began to cough violently while covered my mouth. I glanced back at her and glared daggers at her as Megumi held a dark smirk on her face. I put my hand over my mouth and coughed again.

I removed my hand and saw blood on it. 'What the heck?' I thought. Suddenly, I felt weak. "What did you do to me?" I demanded as I continued to cough. "That drug I put inside you is worse than any poison." Megumi explained.

I coughed up more blood. "If you don't do something quickly, you'll die." She smirked. "Bastard." I muttered. She chuckled and traced her lower lip with her finger. "You taste more delightful than I imagined." Megumi said before licking her lips as a blush formed on her face.

She chuckled as I tried to stand up. I fell back on my knees and began to pant. This girl... Just what the hell is she? There's no way she's human. I looked over at her arm that I sliced off earlier. It started moving until it stopped after a few seconds.

Definitely not human. Forget about that. I need to find a way to get this drug out of me. But what could I do?
