Chapter 15 - Running for the Hills

Chapter 15

"I-I let you win." Wayne mumbled, shocked.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Rooney." Amanda smirked, jumping into Niall's arms.

"Another victory!" Niall exclaimed, "My beautiful girlfriend beat one of the world's best soccer player!"

"Someone's getting celebration sex." Harry muttered to Zayn and Lina, who started cracking up.

Elide smacked him in the head, "Are you still upset she beat you?"

"I simply let her pa-" Harry argued.

"You boys and your egos," Lina rolled her eyes, "Get over it."

"Yeah, she can't help if she's better than you lads." Liam chuckled.

"I'm so tired." Amanda groaned.

"We have some refreshments, back at the house!" Rose assured, "I believe Maria also laid out some appetizers for us to munch on before dinner. That was a good game!"

Everyone made their way back to the huge house, still conversing about the small game.

"You got schooled by a-how old are you?" Ryan asked Amanda.

She opened her mouth to speak but frowned, "I-I don't know."

"You look 18 at most." Robin commented.

"Yeah, you're young and beautiful." Vincent complimented.

Niall growled, "Back off."

"Niall." She mumbled, kissing his cheek. "It's okay, I'm all yours."

"I can't believe you lost!" Javier chuckled, "By a girl."

"Okay, now you guys are just being sexist!" Amanda argued.

"Women can do anything guys can do!" Lina added.

Elide jumped on, "And way better!"

"We're also way more organized and smarter." Rose nodded.

"And we're cuter." Elide flipped her hair.

"But we're hotter." Zayn smirked.

Lina rolled her eyes, "Conceited bastard."

"But you love me." He mumbled and pulled her closer to his side.

"Unfortunately." She sighed playfully.

"Take it back," He warned, kissing her neck.

"Guys, save it for your room. Seriously, no one wants to see that." Louis snapped.

They immediately stepped away from each other, as Louis stormed off inside.

"He'll be alright," Liam spoke, leaving after Louis.

"He just misses her so much." Lina stated, sadly.

Zayn sighed, "We shouldn't have, anyways."

"I can't wait till this whole thing blows over." Elide spoke, "I miss Denmy and Michelle!"

"Where are they exactly?" Lucas asked, curious.

Harry, Zayn, Lina, Elide, Niall, and Amanda all looked at each other.

"Well you see," Amanda started, choosing her words carefully, "Michelle kind of got tired of uh the drama and decided to leave. Since Denmy and her were close, they decided it would be best if they were separated from the group and take care of each other."

It wasn't exactly a lie. Denmy and Michelle were close and they did decide to leave, but it wasn't their choice. Now, the two of them are safe in Australia.

"Oh dear, I hope they are safe." Rose spoke up.

"They're tough girls." Harry nodded.

Everyone entered the house and was escorted straight to the dining room.

A bunch of fruits and appetizers were already set up on the table, with wine bottles cooled in buckets of ice. As everyone took their seats, Louis and Liam joined everyone and filled everyone in with recruit information.

Almost all the clans they called were up for the challenge, except for Sweden. They didn't want to join the war. They preferred peace, but little did they know that they won't have a choice in the matter the next time they were asked...

Dinner came shortly and everyone ate till they were stuffed. They were served a fresh pasta dish with fried chicken and garlic bread on the side. Dessert came in the form of a huge slice of chocolate and caramel cake.

"You know what I just remembered?" Amanda sat up from the bed.

Niall chuckled, "What?"

"You never explained what Harry and Tom were talking about at the stadium."

"I-It's a long story." Niall stuttered.

"We have nothing but time..." She stated.

"I guess I'll tell you then... It isn't a pleasant story." He sighed.

"I wanna know everything you've been through too. If it impacted you in any way, it's important to me." She snuggled closer into his chest.

"I love you." He mumbled and kissed her. "There was a time when rogues attacked innocent clans, to send a message out to the Council. They took down the smallest clans and it wasn't a quick death. Abdeli wasn't part of it then, but there were leaders more ruthless than her believe it or not. Anyways, the victims were attacked and tortured. The females, were most likely taken in front of their blood singers and then killed. The children, they were severely punished or sold into the black market. The lucky ones would simply get poisoned. After the rogues left, not a single person survived the impact."

Amanda gasped, "That's horrible, but where does Harry and Tom fit in this?"

"Well, Robin and Tom's family were having a small get together to watch their big match against Liverpool. We were friends then, Wayne grew up with Louis and scored the boys and I some great seats that night. Later that night, they were attacked and put through hell. They were discovered by a close family friend, who planned to join the families for brunch. Robin and Tom were quickly informed and were so angered and broken."

"They asked for you boys to help them get revenge, didn't they?" Amanda asked.

He nodded, "It wasn't just revenge. We did it for the safety of the other clans. It was the ten of us and some other people that tagged along. We managed to track down where they were and killed them off. It wasn't easy or a pretty sight at the end."

"You boys were so brave and noble." She mumbled, kissing his cheek.

"No." He shook his head, "We gave them a tortuous death. We were no better than them."

"You cannot judge your actions based off a scale of good or bad," She argued, "Life is much more complex than that and you managed to save more lives than the ones you took! They deserved whatever you did to them because if you didn't kill them who knows how many more people they will kill and if you'll even still be alive."

He took a moment to process her words before slightly tightening his grip around her waist, "You're amazing. You know that right?"

She blushed, "You may have said that a couple times before."

"Well you are. You're so intelligent and your heart is too kind for this world." He leaned in, capturing her lips with his. "I'm a lucky man to be living in your presence."

The following week, the Romanians, Spanish, Scottish and Irish joined the Elites in the safe house Liam purchased. The rest of the clans would arrive if needed to avoid raising any suspicion in the vampire community.

"This is Adonis and Artemis," Niall introduced to Amanda. "They're both the leaders of the Romanians."

"Nice to meet you," She smiled.

Artemis nodded, "You too, although I wished we would've met under better circumstances."

"I agree." Adonis spoke, "It's a pleasure for my clan to fight side-to-side with yours. It's been awhile since something this exciting has happened!"

"Please excuse him," Artemis rolled her eyes, "He's very excited to use his powers."

"What would that be?" Amanda asked, curious.

"I can cause excruciating pain." Adonis chirped.

"Wow, your power is similar to Tom's in a way! He can paralyze people." Amanda spoke.

"Really? Where is this Tom? I can tell we're going to get along." Adonis smiled.

"She's probably the first who hasn't ran for the hills." Artemis stated.

Niall chuckled, "My princess here is a special one."

Amanda blushed, "Are you guys blood singers as well?"

"Unfortunately." Artemis joked.

"She's just jealous. I'm too good looking for her." Adonis joked, making everyone laugh.

"Well, we must be going now. I still have to introduce her to the Scottish clan. I'll catch up with you two later?" Niall spoke.

"No problem, mate." Adonis nodded.

"It was nice meeting you Amanda." Artemis smiled.

As Niall and Amanda walked away, he led her straight to the Scottish clan. They were the last group Amanda needed to meet and she couldn't wait. She was tired and wanted to go to bed already! She had met lots of people and made a bunch of new friends.

"Aye, Niall how are ya?" A red headed guy spoke, when they reached him. "This your bird?"

Niall blushed and nodded, "Nice to see you again Sean. This is my blood singer, Amanda."

Sean gently shook her hand and brought it up for a kiss, "She's gorgeous Niall, I'm Sean Finagalo. The leader of the Scottish."

"Nice to meet you," She repeated for what seemed like the fifteenth time, that day.

"Now I mustn't take long, dinners being served soon, but I was wondering if me clan could be put in the same corridor. The elderly women, don't want to be separated from their grandchildren." He requested, "I don't know what the living arrangements are but-"

"I will see that your request is made." Niall assured. "We were going to split the clans up in groups. I was thinking that we could have the children and elderly on the same floor."

"How many floors are there?" Sean asked.

"We have four." Amanda replied.

"Yes. The basement, main floor and the other two are where the rooms for the guests are."

"Will there be enough?" Sean questioned.

"Liam had the house enchanted! Of course there will be." Niall chuckled.

"So when will living arrangements be given?"

"After dinner!" Amanda answered.

"No wonder we're eating a bit early." Sean mused, "Looks like you guys have everything thought out. If you need anything, I'll be happy to be in assistance!"

"Thank Sean, I'll be sure to remember." Niall nodded.

"Dinner is served!" Maria exclaimed.

As everyone took their seats, some clans held hands and said grace, while the non-religious groups respectably waited to eat altogether. Dinner was filled with conversations and the leaders of the clans were seated together to speak of the plans.

After dinner, Liam decided that the elderly and children would be living on the forth floor, seeing as it was the safest and largest floor. There was also a huge playroom, library and kitchen.

The third floor was to be occupied by mates and other members, that weren't mated.

As the days passed, Liam and a couple other people from the clans made up a schedule:

Morning run (For those who wanted to): 5:00-6:15 amBreakfast: 6:45-8:30 amTraining group 1 (Teenagers)/Lessons (Children): 9:00 am- 12:10 pmLunch: 12:45-2:45 pmTraining group 2 (Adults)/Lessons (Teenagers): 3:00-6:10 pmDinner: 6:45-8:00 pmTraining group 3 (Adults): 8:45-11:45 pmMidnight run/hunt (Adults): 12 am- 3 am
