Chapter 14

The moment you stepped out of the café, rain was already pouring heavily on the streets. You looked up on the sky thinking, of all the days that it will rain, why today when you're not even dressed well for the weather? You groaned since you don't have any other choice than to walk aimlessly in the rain. You reached you're safe haven and wandered around a little to keep you calm. As the water beneath your feet splashed as you took a step, YeongCheol's words kept on playing in your head.

"If he really means that much to you, then you take the risk, no matter what the relationship turns into this time, face it. What matters is, you took a shot at it and in the end you won't have any regrets. Just like what I did with you."

You felt a sharp pain poke your heart. After everything that happened between the two of you, after all the hurtful words spoken, would it still be possible to mend the relationship? All of a sudden, images of Jin flashed into your head. From the first time you met, to the time you fell for him. You know that Jin will always be a part of your life and you have already accepted the fact that you are still madly in love with your best friend. But taking the risk and telling him once again how you feel scared the living hell out of you. What if he pushes you away the second time around? Will you be able to recover once again from the heartache? It scared you so badly that it made you stop on your tracks as you felt your heart pound loudly on your chest.

"I- I don't think I can do this." You whispered to yourself as you collapsed on the wooden steps overlooking the view that always helped you relax. You felt weak. The idea of fleeing and running away from all this crept into your mind. You are now torn in the dilemma of just leaving things as it is and forget Jin or take that risk in telling Jin how much you still love him. You stayed still in your seat and buried your head on your hands as you let yourself soak in the rain.

"That's the thing, Yoongi. I don't know..." Jin said as he continued to look away, wallowing in the pain that engulfed him.

"I just miss her so much, Yoongi. Never have I imagined that this could happen to us. How stupid of me for pushing her away." He said as he ruffled his hair vehemently and sighed. Yoongi gave him a worried expression but didn't move from where he was sitting and just gazed at his hyung helplessly who continued to bask in his sadness. He knew that Jin is already very remorseful of what had happened, but there is nothing that they can do since you decided already a long time ago that you and Jin will never happen. He frowned on the thought. As much as he wants you and him to be together, at the end of the day, it will always be your decision.

"I guess, hyung, it's already time for you to really move on." He cautiously said making Jin look at him.

"Easy for you to say since you're not in this situation." He said bitterly.

"No, it's not easy for me, hyung. The situation was never easy to begin with. You and (Y/N) noona are two special people to me and this happening was also a nightmare for us. We got hurt too. Seeing you hurt hurts us even more. I'm just telling you as a friend and a brother that if she decides to move on, you also have to." Yoongi said sadly. For the first time, he said what he really felt in his heart. Jin just kept mum. He knows that Yoongi has a point. He did this to the both of you and maybe it's really time to face the consequence and start to move on.

They were still in the middle of talking when Jin's phone suddenly beeped signaling a message was received. With a heavy heart, Jin stood up from the window pane and dragged himself towards the bed to get his phone. He picked up his phone and sat at the edge of the bed as he read the message.

Yo YeongCheol: I guess the better man has won. She already made her choice and she's not meant to be mine. All I ask of you is to please take good care of her for me 'cause I know she will be I good hands if she will be with you. Please treat her well and treat her right because she deserves it. If you hurt her in anyway, I will know and I will surely come back and get her. [10:15pm]

Jin reread the message over and over again. Hope suddenly crept into his body. Not that he's happy about somebody else's misery, but he is overjoyed that the heavens still gave him another chance to make things right. To take you back into his life. You didn't choose YeongCheol meaning he still has a great chance of patching things up with you. Jin immediately jerked up from his bed, surprising Yoongi with his sudden movement. He ran towards his closet and started changing into much warmer clothes.

"What the heck are you doing?" Yoongi asked as he stood up from where he was sitting and walked towards Jin. Jin didn't answer immediately and just finished changing his clothes.

"Hyung?"

"I-I need to see (Y/N)." He simply said as he walked past Yoongi and went to grab the phone on his bed and stuffed inside his waterproof jacket and walked out of the door, Yoongi trailing behind.

"Are you really going out in this weather?" Yoongi asked loudly making the other people in the room look at them confusedly. Taehyung and Jimin who are in the dining room helping Jungkook with his school work stopped what they were doing and Hoseok is watching TV in the living room peeled away his attention from the TV screen and watched the two elders discuss. Jin stopped in his tracks and looked at Yoongi.

"Look, this might be my only chance to get her back and I am not losing this chance again. I'll find her wherever she is even if I have to tear Seoul apart." Jin said as he turned around and walked towards the door. Yoongi wasted no time and grabbed his jacket and ran after Jin.

"Wait for me, hyung. I'll help you find her." He said. Jungkook also saw this opportunity to get out of doing his homework and jumped up from his chair to run after his hyungs.

"Hey, wait up!" He grabbed his jacket that was resting on the chair's backrest. The rest of the boys just looked at each other.

"I'm not going out there in that kind of weather." Taehyung said as he stood up and walked back into his room and Jimin and Hoseok shrugged their shoulders and went back to what they were doing.

"Arrgh, it went straight again to voicemail!" Jungkook furiously said as he ended the call and tried dialing your number for the 6th time that night. He ruffled his hair in frustration. Yoongi, on the other hand, is also trying to calm Jin down, who is now also at the verge of losing it while looking for any signs of you on the streets. The guys have been searching for you for more than an hour now and yet, they still can't find you and get hold of you. They already tried looking for you in your apartment, but you weren't there. Jin also called YeongCheol out of desperation, but was just informed that you have left the café a few minutes before he did and that was the last time he saw you. Jin drove to the restaurant you frequently go to and the café where you always hang out when you want to be alone, but there was still no sign of you.

"Dammit," Jin hissed as he hit the steering wheel out of frustration.

"Where is she and why is her phone switched off?" He said in annoyance as he tried so hard to concentrate in driving. Yoongi and Jungkook on the other hand, busied themselves looking outside the window, but the heavy rain is making it hard for them to see anything outside.

"Do you think she-" But Yoongi's words were cut before he can even finish it.

"Left?! That's absurd. Why would noona even think of doing that? She won't leave us without telling us, right?" Jungkook said in bewilderment as his attention snapped towards his elder making him pullout his phone and try calling you once again. Yoongi just shook his head.

"It was just a thought. I don't know." Yoongi said as he shrugged his shoulders and looked away.

'Arrgh, where can she be?" This time, it was Yoongi's turn to ruffle his hair. A heavy sigh was heard from Jungkook as he rubbed his temples upon hearing the notification that his call is once again being routed to voicemail.

Jin cannot take this anymore. As much as he wants to tear the whole city looking for you, he knows he will just be wasting precious time and what Yoongi said about you running away from everything is not even far from happening. He slowly drove the car to the side of the road and turned off the engine.

"What? Why are we stopping?" Jungkook asked Jin curiously.

"I need to think. I know she hasn't left as her stuff is still in her apartment. She must be wandering somewhere around Seoul." He said as he rested his head on the steering wheel."Hyung, would you know any other place she would like to go alone?" Yoongi asked making Jin lift his head slowly to recall all the places you frequently go to.

"We have already checked the restaurant, the coffee shop, the park, her apartment and the dorm, but she's not there. I don't know any other place she would visit alone." Jin sighed.

"Wait!" Jungkook exclaimed making the two elders look at him.

"I remember accompanying noona a few months ago in Seokchon Lake. She told me that she goes there when she wants to relax and if she wants to think." Jungkook said excitedly bringing back hope in both Jin and Yoongi.

"Let's go, then." Yoongi said and Jin didn't even have to be told and immediately turned on the engine and stepped on the gas.

"(Y/N), please be there and wait for me." Jin said to himself as he concentrated in driving.

You're sitting on wet concrete steps facing the lake as you absorbed as you absorbed the rain water falling unto you. A heavy sigh escaped you as you watch the rain fall heavily on the lake. Even if you have sat there for an entire hour, the confusion and fear never left. You breathed out heavily and gazed at the dancing lights from the skyscrapers surrounding the lake. It was so peaceful. You just wish that things would be as peaceful in your life as well. You were still deep in your thoughts when you suddenly felt the rain water stop hitting your body. With a confused expression, you looked up and saw an umbrella already shielding you from the harsh tapping of the rain. You then looked at the person who was holding the umbrella for you. You were surprised to see Jin towering over you. You immediately stood up and faced him.

"W-what? How did you know I was here?" You confusedly asked Jin who continued to gaze at you. You were about to step back from him, but Jin held your hand preventing you to do so. And for the first time after you guys have argued, you didn't resist his touch and just let him hold your hand. You gazed into his face and you can see both worry and fear.

"(Y/N), please don't walk away from me. Don't say anything. Just please listen to me." He said and you just looked at him, waiting for what he has to say. He looked down at his feet for a moment, trying to gather the courage to continue on.

"I was a fool. A big fool who was afraid of facing his true feelings and scared to take the risk. In the end, I hurt you and pushed you far away from me making you loathe just the very sight of me when deep in my heart all I wanted to do is keep you by my side and stay with me." You heart started skipping a beat as you hear his confessions. You have already heard them before, but this time, you are willing to listen to it.

"All those times that we were not together, I lived the days like the usual days. But it was different. It was missing something. I thought being with someone else would fill the void, but it didn't. It just became worse. Then I woke up with the truth that the feeling of emptiness was when I lost you. You are always that special piece in my life that will complete me and make me whole." Tears are already escaping your eyes despite your best effort in suppressing them. Jin cupped your face with his free hand and wiped the tears off your face. You are now staring straight in his eyes.

"I was miserable without you. Then YeongCheol came into the picture and took the risk I didn't do. I regretted it so badly. I felt that every day you're with him, I thought I would die. I would die from jealousy and regret." He then took his gaze off you and shifted it towards the ground.

"And today. I know today is the day that YeongCheol set to get your answer towards his confession. I was almost at the brink of losing it. Picturing you with YeongCheol is almost like suicide." You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing came out. You ended up heaving a heavy sigh. Jin was just shaking his head. He took your hand once again.

"I'm not sure what is going on in your head. I don't know what would be your answer, but I am willing to take the risk now. I don't mind if I get rejected." He then let go of the umbrella that was shielding both of you from the rain and he got down on both knees in front of you.

"Because I promise to woo you every single day until your heart will decide to forgive me. Will serenade you till your heart explodes and feel my sincere love for you. I will not make a single tear fall off of your eyes because of pain. But if a tear does escape, it's because I made you happy. I will hug you until you feel that my heart only beats for you." You can't control your emotions anymore and you knelt down in front of Jin. Tears are now falling freely, but the heavy rain masked it for you. Your sobs were the giveaway that you're already crying your heart out.

"Please, (Y/N), take me back into your arms. Trust me. This is my promise to you." He said.

"Do you trust me?" His eyes pleading.

"P-please trust me." You finally had the strength to reach your hand towards him and your fingers gently glide on his skin as you caress his face gently. When your hand reached his chin, he grabbed that opportunity to plant a quick kiss on the palm of your hand. Your other hand rested on his neck and you immediately pulled Jin towards you and you planted a warm, passionate kiss on his lips. Your heart was beating really fast just like when you first kissed that New Year's Day. You felt Jin's lips move. He kissed you back and this time more passionate. His hands now cupping your face making the kiss deeper. You didn't hesitate and just gave in. You stayed like that for a few minutes before breaking away from each other. You slowly opened your eyes and you're now staring at Jin's eyes. He smiled at you but didn't let you go.

"I said before that after everything that happened between us, it will surely be easy for me to forget you. There are millions of reasons why I should give you up and you have broken me almost beyond repair because I was lying to myself when I said that I don't love you." You said as you shook your head.

"I guess the heart wants what it wants. And it's you that it wants. It only beats for you. It longs for you. That's how much of a fool I am." You said. But then your lips were again captured by his sweet kiss.

"And I love you. I love you so much, (Y/N)." He said and kissed you again, but this time, more passionately. You just want to stay in that state forever. His soft lips on yours and his hands that gently caress your face. When he broke away from the kiss, a silent groan escaped you. You slowly licked your lips and looked at Jin. His eyes full of hope. Full of love.

"I promise I will not let you go, no matter what happens. I promise to be by your side always. I love you so much. You just don't know how much I missed you."

"I missed you too so much, Kim Seokjin. Let's stop being stupid and stubborn and let's follow what our heart wants." You smiled sweetly at him. That was the first time after how many months that he saw you smile at him again. He saw the smile that he always loves. And now that smile is for him and no one else.

"And I love you too so much. Crazy, but true!" You laughed, and with that, he engulfed you in a hug in the rain.A few feet away from you and Jin, two people are standing under the protection of their umbrella and are watching the two of you rebuild your relationship. Yoongi is holding the umbrella and Jungkook is holding his phone and is capturing the precious moment that you and Jin are now in a relationship.

"I never knew Jin hyung is this cheesy." Jungkook said as he smirked.

"Awww, they are so perfect for each other." Namjoon gushed on the other line. Jungkook is actually doing a video conference with the boys who were left in the dorm and they didn't miss a single thing.

"I wish we had gone with them looking for noona."Taehyung said earning a puzzled expression from Hoseok.

"You were the first one who said you don't want to go out in this weather." He reminded him making Taehyung laugh in embarrassment.

"Aww, I always knew they would end up together." Jimin said.

"Do you think we should interrupt them now? They have been kissing and hugging there for a long time now and they might end up getting sick." Yoongi said as he nudged Jungkook who is still holding the camera.

"NO!!!" Yoongi heard the four boys on the other line shout in unison, surprising him.

"Fine, I was just asking. Geez!" He said as he shook his head and once again looked at you and Jin.

"Don't spoil their time together. Give them a few more minutes to rekindle what they have missed for the months they were apart." Namjoon said as he chuckled.

"Fine, fine, let's go, Jungkook. Let's just wait in the car 'cause they might still take a while before they come to their senses that they are soaking themselves in the rain." Yoongi said as he nudged Jungkook again.

"But- I, ah, I'm still filming them and..." Jungkook stopped to think of a way to stay and continue filming the two of you. Yoongi scrunch his nose in and heaved out a heavy breath.

"Fine, stay here. Suit yourself, I'm walking back in the car." Yoongi said as he walked away with the umbrella. Jungkook, now getting soaked in the rain panicked and ran after his hyung.

"Wait for me, hyung! Don't let me soak in the rain, I get sick easily!" He said as he scrambled towards the umbrella Yoongi is holding.

Omg! I can't believe this story is finally over. Thank you once again to all the readers and for all the love that this story got. I will definitely miss writing this story, but it's time for me to make another one. It might be a Yoongi story and I'll probably publish it by next month, so yeah.
