Sonic:You got home?Amy?

Amy:Yeah.Thanks for the helpSonic.And thanks for yourconcern.I have to sleep now.thanks again

"So?How was she now?"Tails asked

"She's gonna sleep"Sonic said

"Oh.Anyway...what took you so long?"

"What do you mean?"Sonic slightly furrowed his brows

"You didn't got in time on our first class"

"I...Well,he beat me up again"Sonic sighed

"Sorry.I didn't catch up on you back there"

"Huh? It's okay Tails.Really,Nothing to worry about"Sonic console his buddy beside him

Sonic stood up,going to buy his drink.After he paid it,he walked towards Tails.The students were less at the cafeteria,already finished eating

"Hey, Sonic"Someone spoke quietly onto his ear

Sonic jumped

Knuckles let out a laughter

The said person sat between them

"I have a plan.After the school,wait for me on the gate.I'll catch up to you immediately"He explained before he stood up

"Alright then"Sonic nodded

With that,Knuckles walked away

"I noticed when our English Teacher is writing on the white board,your narrowing your eyes.Is your vision gauze?"

"Yeah.That's why tomorrow I'm gonna get glasses.It's really hard for me to stay in a vision like this.It's difficult especially when the teachers writing on the white board!"Exclaimed Sonic

"You should ask me for my notebook.I thought there was something in your eye lately"Tails said

Sonic chuckled

Abruptly,the bell ringed

"Gotta go to my class.See ya later"Sonic said before grabbing his back pack

Once there,he gulped at the sight of Shadow.He sat on his seat.He felt his gaze at him.Boy,the circumstances here isn't simple.Especially you being with him

Not too long enough,the teacher arrived.The class started.Whilst in the middle of the lesson,Sonic was being thrown by papers and it was synchronic.Sonic never batted an eye.But incontrovertibly,he knew who those was.The students behind him sniggered.A paper was thrown into his desk.It read;Open Or Else

Sonic couldn't help but wonder,Perhaps if he didn't open this something menacing will occur at him?

The students behind him was chuckling again

"Class,I can hear you chuckling there.What's so funny?"The teacher said his eyes still on his book

The students was silent

"Alright class.I want your reports tomorrow to be all ready.If not, automatically zero"said the Science teacher before walking out

It was the student's lunch time.Sonic walked downstairs where not much students are in sight.He can tell it was Knuckles and Tails that he saw because of the color,but of course,he wasn't very sure.When he was getting close to them,it literally was Tails and Knuckles.He sat next to Knuckles

"What's your favourite subject so far?"asked Knuckles

"Science and English.And you?"Sonic asked wearily before yawning

"P.E"Laughed Knuckles

Sonic just smiled

"Hey,aren't you going to eat?"Tails asked

"I will. I feel a little sleepy"Sonic said clutching his bag

"If you say so"Tails said

A sudden burst on the door causes the students to turn into the direction.Revealing a cute yellow hedgehog

"Tails!Mr.Harris said he needs us in the classroom! I've been looking for you!"The yellow hedgehog exclaimed

He took Tails' hand

Mr.Harris;Tails' chemistry teacher

"Alright alright! I'll catch up with you!"Tails said packing his things up before leaving

"That woke me up"Sonic said rubbing his eyes blinking at his surroundings

"What just happened?"Sonic asked clearly unaware of what happened earlier

"Nothing important.Tails' chemistry teacher wants him.So...about my said plan on doing the group report,is it okay?I mean any suggestions or?"

"It's...fine"Sonic replied still sleepy

Sonic lift his head to see any signs of Knuckles.But it was still no sight of him.The sun's rays vanishing.But Sonic remained patient

A hand slightly tapped Sonic's shoulder.Sonic looked over his shoulder at the said being

"I never thought it would be damn hard..."Knuckles whispered

"But anyway let's go"He continued

"Is your house that far?"Knuckles asked whilst they're walking

"Yeah...but not that very far"Replied Sonic

"Sonic...just like to ask,"Knuckles crossed his arms and looked at the ground,unable to form his words to tell him the question

"Did you tell your mom that Shadow is..."Knuckles didn't dare to continue after seeing Sonic's sudden change of reaction

Sonic furrowed his brows slightly,which made Knuckles think he doesn't like the question

"No.I didn't"Sonic simply said taking a notice at Knuckles' nervousness

"But why?"Knuckles continued to ask

"I don't want to bother them.Besides..."Sonic slighty grunted

Shadow's words upon the principal entered his head.Sonic shook his head

"Nevermind that"Knuckles said

"Are you neighbours with Tails?"Knuckles asked trying to make at least a little conversation

Uncomfortable on the silence between them

"Yeah"Sonic replied

After a walk,they reached Sonic's house.Sonic opened the door.Her mother was the first person Sonic saw

"Hi mom.By the way this is Knuckles.We're going to do a group report"Sonic said

Knuckles politely greeted Bernadette and smiled

"Ok.You may.I will just prepare your snack"Bernadette said

Before Knuckles could refuse, Bernadette already had walked away

"Dad is on his work.He always arrive here in night time"Sonic said before they walked upstairs

When Sonic opened his bedroom's door,Knuckles was slightly surprised

"Wow.You got a cool room.You got your bedroom spick and spam"Knuckles said

He expected Sonic's room to be tidy.Knuckles looked at Sonic's room that was full of books.Knuckles took that a hint as one of favourite Sonic's hobbies;reading

"So,where we gonna work?"asked Knuckles

"Here.You like?"

"Okay then"Knuckles agreed

Knuckles took the materials needed to be used.While Sonic was starting to write the other additional ideas he thought for the report

"Snack's here"Bernadette's voice rung behind Sonic's door

Knuckles quickly stood up and opened the door.He helped Bernadette carry the tray

"I hope you enjoy them"Bernadette said before smiling

"Thank you...uh?"Knuckles felt awkward

"It's Bernadette"Bernadette smiled at the echidna

Bernadette walked downstairs before closing the door.Knuckles put their snacks down and started drawing again
