Chapter 7

Sonic put his back pack down and lay on his bed.He look at the time

5:21 pm

He search for his phone.He plugged his earphones in and played a music while reading.A knock was heard on his door.It was open by Bernadette

"Sonic,"Bernadette spoke

Sonic quickly sat up and removed his earphones from his ears before asking 'yes'?

"About your check up for your eyes,the doctor wasn't yet available.He was scheduled on another hospital"Bernadette said

If it wasn't his mom that told him,Sonic won't remember.He nodded before saying thank you

"But I'll be testing your myopia"Bernadette said before pulling out an eye chart

Bernadette took a step 20 feet away from her son.Sonic read the letters aloud.But when it came to the 3rd row,he can't read.He was narrowing his eyes.Bernadette sighed before smiling

"We'll go tomorrow"Bernadette smiled before opening the door and walking downstairs leaving Sonic doing his earlier business

He looked at the time again

5:49 pm

The eye test sure took long.He again started to read his book

Whilst he was reading,he heard a knock on the door again.He know it was his mom.He remembered,it was dinner

Sonic walked towards upstairs slowly.He was sure full.It was his favourite food that his mom cooked.Sonic remained standing for 5 minutes knowing it's bad if you already lay on the bed after eating.The food won't digest on his stomach

After that said 5 minutes he walked in his room.He turned on his phone.Seeing the time

6:37 PM

He noticed he had a tons of messages.And it was all from an unknown person.It was only two minutes ago

6:27 PMUnknown:Sonic?

6:15 PMUnknown:Hey Sonic.This is Shadow.Just gonna ask,you available tonight?

"Oh god..."He mumbled

6:32 PMSonic:Hey Shadow.Sorry for the late reply.I was having some dinner.I'm not available tonight.Sorry.But thanks for the invite anyway 😊

6:32 PMShadow:Oh my.Sorry.Too late gonna pick you up.Gonna be there in 2 minutes for sure

Sonic bit his lip.He don't want to refuse anymore.Shadow was on his way.But what is strange he can't stop him.Why?Because his afraid that he might be mad if he don't go?

He shook his head.He sat on the edge of his bed not knowing what to do.He heard a car park in front of them.He was sure it was Shadow.He looked from his window.Even though his vision was a slightly hazy he can was still sure it was his mom talking to Shadow.He can tell by their clothings.His mom entered again in their door.He removed his gaze on his window.He heard a knock.He was expecting that.When the door opened Bernadette was smiling

"I didn't know you have made many friends"

"Wait?Many?"Sonic asked

"Yep.The three of them are inside the car"Bernadette answered

"They were searching for you.I think your gonna go in a party.They all dressed well"Bernadette continued

"Mom I can't-"

"It's okay Sonic!This is your chance! I'm sure you won't have any problem with socializing anymore!Look at that,you made friends.And when your on a bunch of people,you won't be shy anymore"Bernadette smiled

Yes,his mom know that he wasn't very good at socializing stuff.He was forced to go.Sonic picked up his clothes to be wore.When he was done,he walked downstairs seeing Shadow,Jet,and Scourge sitting on their couch

Sonic gulped at the sight of the three popular guys.Shadow grinned seeing them

"Hey Sonic! We're waiting for you!"Shadow said putting an arm on Sonic's shoulder making Sonic shift a little

"Let's go"Jet grinned

"B-bye mom"Sonic said

His mom waved.He can't blame his mom.He know his mom only wants for him to improve at this socializing stuff

Sonic on the passenger seat beside Shadow.Boy,he was sweating even though the aircon inside was on

He had a bad feeling about this

It feels like they're planning something
