5. Awkward

Logan and Nick left. Now it's just me, Geo, and Waleed. This should be interesting.

"Anybody hungry?" Geo asked to break the silence.

"Oh no. I just ate before I came here," I responded.

"A little," Waleed said shrugging.

"Well it's food in the kitchen," Geo shot Waleed an unpleasant look.

"Well why would you ask, if you're not going to make it?" Waleed said with an attitude.

"I would make it but you have two hands plus two feet so, you can do it yourself."

I laughed, "Haha do it yourself...diy."

Everyone shifted their attention towards me.

"What?...My bad, jeez," I throw my hands up in defense.

Geo started to play the game and Waleed sat on the stairs on his phone.

"So is nobody making the food because now that I think about it, I'm kinda hungry," I told them.

They both looked at each other then me and said, "Fine I'll make the food."

"Oh please no." I thought "This is definitely not going to end well.""Oh, actually I can make it myself. I have dealt with plenty of stoves and microwaves in my life," I said trying to avoid an argument between them two.

"No. You're the guest you shouldn't be the one cooking," Geo said pausing the game.

"Yes. Agreed. That's why I'll just cook for the beautiful lady," Waleed winked at me. "So what do you want to eat?"

Geo shot him the dirtiest look.

"I'm kinda in the mood for pizza. Let's just order," I said trying to change the subject.

"Ugh fine whatever," Geo said.

"Hey, your loss. I make a mean hot pocket," Waleed said leaning back on the stairs.

"I hate hot pockets," I announced.

"HA!" Geo said to Waleed.

"Stop saying words with H in it hhhhot breath," Waleed said dragging out the H.

"You want to talk about somebody with hot breath?..." Geo began.

"WELL A CHEESE PIZZA SOUNDS NICE!" I talked over them.

Their attention drove towards me. "Geo go up stairs for a second."

"And leave you with him?"

"I need to talk to him alone," I told him.

"No. If we're going to be together, you should know I get jealous really easily," He responded.

"And I get annoyed really easily and right now, you're annoying me. I just need 5 minutes."

"Okay. 5 minutes but that's it," Geo walked up the stairs and left us alone."

"What do you want us to be alone for?" Waleed looked at me.

I sat on the couch and looked at the faded black paused screen. "Why do you guys keep fighting?"

He joined me on the couch, "Because he's with you and I still have feelings for you."

I responded quick kinda getting loud, "You can't have feelings for me." 

He responded quick too returning the volume, "Well I do..." He return to a talking volume "... I-I-I do." He adjusted his body towards me. "Is he making your day?"

"Day? We haven't even been together for 24 hours yet," I said.

"But shouldn't it feel like you have? Like you known each other your whole life?"

"You watch to many movies," I responded.

"Maybe..or maybe that's your defense because you know I'm telling the truth."

As he was talking I heard a floor board creek, and I'm pretty sure he heard it too. I knew Geo was eavesdropping on us.

"You have to stop with all these fights and the flirting," I said

"What flirting?" He asked

"When you called me beautiful earlier," I replied

"Oh my bad ugly. Is that better for you?" He asked.

"Okay how about calling me my name?" I added

"Sorry Court," He said with a chuckle.

"I'm serious you have to stop. Do you like arguing with him all day?" I asked.

"Well it gets me 5 minute alone time with you, so why not? I just wished we didn't spend it talking about him," He kinda chuckled.

"Is this just a joke to you?" I asked.

He got serious, "Of course not but I just can't be happy for you guys. I'm sorry."

"I'm just trying to figure out how me and Geo switched in your mind. At first you hated me and loved Geo and now it's the other way around."

"First, I never hated or hate anyone. I was just..I don't know I guess I was just confused. But let me just tell you all my feelings now. I like you a lot. I have deep feelings for you and I know that we just met but I can't help how I feel. And obviously I don't like you and Geo together because I want us to be together. And I don't know. That's all I got so take it or leave it." 

I just looked at him. He started to lean in and I could feel myself giving in. Oh no I started to lean in what the hell am I doing ...But then I heard a floorboard. I jumped back and Geo came down the stairs. 

"5 minutes up. Let's go babe." He grabbed my arm as he walked pass the couch and he lead me to the front door. He let go of my arm and unlocked the car door. I got in the car and he drove off.

"Um where are we going?" I asked.

"Nowhere," He responded. He looked pissed and he just looked straight ahead. I mean yeah, that's what you're supposed to do but I don't know, he just looked... I don't know it was weird.
