The Real Dungeon "3"

Bell was astonished with the view , He started doubting if he was still in the dungeon the moment he walked this floor , the canyon narrow road that cut through the two vertical walls opened up to reveal a big ancient building like 2 curtains opening to reveal a treasure .

It was as if the inhabitants shaped the small mountain into their tower. At the open space in front of the building there was a big lake with clear water.

Bell also noticed there was some trees here and there with other holes dug in the canyon walls and cliffs around the tower ,probably more homes for the xenos who lived here . He spotted many other white bear xenos , adults and kids females and males .

Now that he saw them like this , he could no longer make difference between them and any other humans or demi humans living in the surface.

Xand walked ahead of him :" follow me , bell" he spoke calmly.

Only now that Bell noticed that he was starring too much ahead with his jaw opened

" well , that's an unexpected discovery and also this Area is interesting " The phoenix voice brought back to his senses as he asked :"did you noticed something ?" he asked only for Xander to return to him wondering :" did you say something ?"

Bell held his hand out waving " no no , I was just speaking to myself "

Xand eyes furrowed but he didn't give much thought of it ,

" this Area doesn't absorb the mana like the one we were in , its like we passed some sort of a barrier at some point " Faenur explained

Soon another xenos male with a weapon that looked like a spear rushed forward to meet them , he resembled to Xand a lot which made bell wonder how they made difference from each other.

The xenos spoke :" Xand ,you finally came back ! we thought we lost you , what happened and who is that ?" he asked as he looked from Xand side

Xand sighed :" Ard , calm down , he is a friend , he saved mylife from the west valley , he is an a human adventurer " as he explained , with each word Ard eyes widened in more surprise

Ard :" its been more than a decade since any human stepped into our lands , I thought I would never see one of them in my life ! welcome welcome !" surprisingly Ard's reaction was not what Xand expected , he thought the stoic passive guy who always kept a gloomy face would probably start a commotion at the village entrance front brining an outsider

Xand sighed again ;" Ard , let us enter , we are both tired , I v brought the crystals , I need an audience with the elders " then he looked back to bell , " he will come with me too " Xand added

Bell and Xand passed by the lake , from this side bell noticed that the canyon vertical walls were pushed outside and it made the area wider in the center .However the top gap that let just a veil of light enter had the same width as the narrow path. Most like the xenos dug the Area to widen the space here before making their homes , it was the perfect shelter to them

Few xenos kids were playing when they noticed bell unusual features

" look look ! he doesn't have a lot of furr , heheheh" they laughed as the kids though bell was a weird xenos , " he also wears weird things !" another kid spoke

Bell smiled and waived to them . It was the first time he ever saw a small monster kids , he always thought that they were born from the dungeon , however now he had more questions than ever ( just , what is this place ?) he thought

Xand and bell soon arrived to the tower entrance , there weren't any other xenos guarding the place, as everyone attended to their daily work .

As they enter the dark tower , a sense of warmth made bell feel comfortable and at ease for the first time . Whatever they did to make this tower , it was sure a convenient place to live

A deep voice growled from the darkness ahead of them that brought bell back to his senses , only then he noticed that Xand was on his knee :" Xand , you came back " the old voice spoke

" yes elder , I ve brought the crystals ,however the west valley is in chaos for now , a battle between the scorpions and the griffins occurred ,it would take a while for everything to calm down there " Xand explained

" you brought a human with you , is that why you took this long ?" another elder spoke from the side

" no, elder , this human saved my life , he distracted the griffins while I was running , then the commotion they did woke the scorpions from their slumber " Xand tried to explain , a drop of sweat fell from his forehead . He really didn't want the elders to have any bad impressions about bell

" I see , young adventurer , on behalf our race I like to thank you for saving Xand's life , you have our gratitude" the first elder thank him in a calm neutral voice

"I only did what I thought would be convenient in that situation " bell replied

" if may I ask young one , where are your friends? " the 2nd elder asked in a curious tone

Bell hesitated for a while before speaking, he still couldn't see the elders , but he could just make out their silhouettes in the darkness . " I came here alone " bell said

Silence

A long silence , only whispers of the elders could be heard from time to time . Bell felt disturbed by this situation ," I guess they didn't expect that " the phoenix spoke to him

" young adventurer , can you tell us whats your goal  of coming here alone ? " the first elder finally broke the silence

Bell tried to explain to his best about what happened to him as he was separated from his friends in the upper floor , he kept the part about the phoenix spirit , he only told them that he couldn't go back into the dungeon so he decided to go down. After waiting him to  finish his story  the elder spoke again " I see , you had quiet the journey huh , just like all the adventurers who came before you , however we haven't seen any of them for more than a decade " with a deep sigh like he was regretting something , the elder spoke :" you seem troubled child  , Sit down and tell us your concerns , after all you are our guest  "

Bell did as the elder asked and sat down crossing his legs on the floor . now that he was adjusted to the darkness , he could see the long beards of the bear xenos elders sitting on a monster skins , he took a long breath and opened his eyes with a look of determination.

" I want to know,   what is  this place " bell asked
