Remnant of the past "2"

 Loki brought a bottle of a wine ,from the look of it , the wine was surely not cheap. She pushed the bottle over her head until it was already half empty.

"ahhh , really refreshing !" Loki said as she putted the bottle back on the table ,

Riveria :" what we going to do about this ?"

Loki turned her head to Riveria side , her cheeks were already red :" hmm , lets wait until Finn is back , then we will explain the situation to the others , Also the guild doesn't know what they are dealing with ,So I will have to visit that old God and check with him first "

Riveria :" are you sure it is wise to trust Ouranus now? "

Loki :" he owes us a lot from las few years , its time for him to pay back otherwise he wont like how things will turn"

Riveria sighed :" whatever " then she stoped and remembered something :"what about our members in the dungeon ? they don't know anything about it "

Loki :" our members aren't stupid Riveria , news are already circling in Rivera so they wont do something stupid , that's something Bete would do , but he can save himself if things got bad"

Riveria sighed again , she slowly walked to the window and looked at the night sky , there was no moon nor stars tonight ,all hidden behind the veil of clouds. Just like their situation now , things are dark and unclear , only time would wash up these mysteries and turns the lights on what's happening.

It was still early that morning ,but a certain parum was walking back from the guild building , she was doing her final checks before they go into the dungeon.She was upset because their commission was canceled just like that , without any propre explanation , when she asked about it , the guild staff answered that all commissions has been postponed until investigations are over. All because of the appearance of an unknow individual that proved to have no affiliation to any familia in Orario .People fear the unknown , so does the guild , after all they've changed many of their policies toward the dungeon incidents in order to insure the safety of more adventurers. Some liked the idea , while others who were in desperate need of daily income disagreed , because they had to stop whenever anything's comes up.

Lilly wasn't of the latter, she just hated that all her preparations were in vain

The guild member :" I am really sorry , but you have to wait for further notice from us , you can pick the any missions form the board as long as it is above floor 18 "

Lilly :" yeah , yeah , whatever " she picked few missions on the middle floors and the news paper and walked back to her familia mansion.

Upon arrival she noticed that everyone was already gathering their stuff , she hated to break the news for them that their expedition was canceled.

As she walked over to their dining table , Welf asked " so , little lilly are we good to go ?"

Lilly looked at him , then to the others who were sitting , Ryu , Haruhime , Mikoto , Hestia , then for some reason she looked at a certain empty chair.

" eehhh " she sighed ;" our expedition is canceled "

Ryu narrowed her eyes while Mikoto jumped to question :" but why ?"

Lilly put the news paper she got from the guild on the table :" because of this , some unknow strong individual appeared on the deep floors , when the guild checked , there was no adventurer with such descriptions in any familia , "

Welf :" how strong was this guy ?"

Lilly :" well they haven't confirmed whether he was an adventurer or a new type of monsters , all that they know is that he has a very strong lightning magic and also fire magic , he managed to kill 3 wormwells and more than dozen barbarians in one attack , and that comes to the next point which is that barbarians appeared above floors that they are supposed to be in , so the guild now and Rivera are messed up"

Ryu sighed

And silence took place around the table

Hestia :" well , you shouldn't be depressed that much , you guys have prepared for an expedition , so why not just go do one in the middle floors ?"

Welf smiled :" that's also doable "

Ryu :" fine by me "as she nodded , Mikoto as well followed by Haruhime.

Lilly :" very well , so here are the missions I picked from the board "

The large waterfall was pounding the rocks, It was thundering down into the pool like a gigantic water spout , whenever you look rivers and waterfalls could be spotted ,there was an abundance of clear blue lakes and other shallows too. Despite already being here multipled times he always grasped in astonishment at the beauty of this place

" I have to admit , this is really something.I ve never seen such a huge amount of water gathered in any floor like this before" a melodic feminine voice resonated with his feelings , despite the clear and loud voice , he knew that only him could hear her. It was one of the few times that she woke up from her slumber or gave any impression about anything specific. At least that's what he remembered about his only companion for the last 2 years.

:" I am back here huh " the figure in black robe spoke , his white hair reaching over his shoulder ,a long black patch of leather covered his eyes , yet he was able to see normally like he wasn't blindfolded.

He started walking again , yet his ears picked something , in the never ending thundering sound of waterfalls and rivers , a muffled voice could be heard signing. He instantly recognized the owner of the voice and dashed towards the source. It didn't took much with his speed , as he soon arrived in front of the Mermaid. She stopped singing and looked at her visitor.

Her eyes widened , and for a moment tears started dropping from her already wet face , she tried to hold the tears back with a smile but she couldn't. There was no way she didn't recognize his smell and his figure. Even after 2 years and the big obvious changes he had , marie recognized the person in front of her in an instant , and she dashed to his embrace
