Chapter 44

Ross' P.O.V

On the way home, Lynn starts digging through her purse. "Shit," she mumbles.

I glance over at her. "Is everything okay, baby?" I ask nicely.

She nods. "Uh.. yeah. Can we stop at the gas station quick. I need a few things." She says secretively. I nod and turn a corner. I pull into a parking space. "I'll be right back," she pecks my lips quickly.

I watch her run into the store. A few moments later, she runs out with a bag in one hand and her purse in the other. We drive home in silence, making me nervous. "Are you okay?" I blurt as we step into the house.

She nods. "Yeah," she sighs as I make my way upstairs.

I stare at her with my eyebrow raised. "Are you coming?"

She stares at the backdoor. "I'll be up in a few minutes." She says and hurries to the bathroom.

I go upstairs and sit at the top, awaiting get to get out if the bathroom. When she comes out, she runs out back. I go into the bathroom and see a pregnancy test lying on the counter. I pick it up and read it. She's not pregnant. I follow her outback, watching her smoke a cigarette. I carefully open the door, stepping out behind her. She jumps when she realizes I'm behind her.

"You scared the shit out of me," she mumbles.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask bluntly.

"I was going t-"

I cut her off. "Why didn't you tell me?" I ask again.

She sighs as well as shrugs. "I don't know, I thought you'd be mad at me." She whispers.

I take the cigarette out of her hand and put it out in the ash tray. I grab her hand, before pulling her into my chest. She wraps her arms around my waist as my arms find their way around her torso. I kiss her head. "You're supposed to tell me everything," I mumble against her head.

She nods. "I'm sorry," she whispers.

We pulls back and I lead her inside. I sit on the bed, my back against the head board. I pull her onto my lap. "Is there anything else you haven't told me?" I ask as I glance at her arms.

She shakes her head. "No," she sighs and looks into my eyes. "Do you want to kiss me as bad as I want to kiss you?"

I bite my lip and nod. I flip us over before shoving my lips onto hers.

Lynnette's P.O.V

I groan and pick up my phone. "Hello?" I answer groggily.

"Hey, did you just wake up? It's almost 4," My friend Selena giggles

I glance at Ross who's still peacefully sleeping. "Yeah, Ross and I stayed up all night.... Uh.. Watching movies!"

She laughs loudly. "gross, did you forget I'm picking you up to go shopping!?" She slightly yells.

"Oops, I'll be ready in 15."

"Okay, see you then!" She exclaims before hanging up.

I climb onto Ross' waist and plant tiny kisses on his face. he opens his eyes and smiles. "Good morning, baby." He whispers as I sit straight up.

"Good afternoon," I correct him.

He smiles tiredly. "Why'd you wake me up?" He groans as he slides me off of him.

"I have to leave in ten minutes," I sigh and kiss his cheek. He just stares at me. "What?"

He shakes his head. "I don't want you to leave," he whispers and pulls me into his chest.

I kiss his lips several times. "I'll be back in a few hours. I'll come home and make you dinner," I smile.

He smirks. "Mm, okay baby. Get dressed," he whispers.

I get up and pick up some clothes. I throw them on before handing Ross his boxers. He slides them on before throwing me on the bed. He climbs over me, kissing me wildly. "Watching movies!" Selena yells as she points at the clothes on the floor.

Ross and I pull apart. "Shut up," I laugh. "I love you." I whisper and kiss Ross.

He allows me to get up. "Don't be gone too long. I need to eat eventually. I love you too." he smiles.

I walk to the bedroom door. "I won't, hang out with the guys or something." I smile before I leave the room.

Selena hands me the spare key. "You guys are way too cute. Tell me everything that went down in the Bahamas!" She exclaims as we get into her car.

I tell her everything, excluding the sex details. She was happy for us and seemed okay that we were back together. In the beginning, she didn't seem to like that me and Ross kept getting back together. But now, she's happy I'm happy. After a lot of shopping and talking, it was time to go home. When I got home, I set my bags down and run into the living room.

I sit on Ross' lap. "Hi, babe. Did you have fun?" He smiles and kisses me a few times.

I throw off my shirt and get up to make dinner. "Yeah, but I missed you." I say as I pull out the ingredients to make mashed potatoes. After a few minutes, I get frustrated. "Ross!" I whine.

He comes into the kitchen. "What's wrong, baby?" He asks as he walks over to me.

"I can't whisk eggs," I whine again.

He comes behind me, wrapping his arms around me as he guides my hand. I smile as he plants a small kiss on my neck. "See, it's not that hard." He says with a smile.

He helps me finish dinner. We made meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We eat our dinner on the couch. When Ross finishes, he lays his head on my lap. I set my plate on the coffee table in font of us. He puckers his lips. I giggle and lean down to kiss him.
