Marcus sat alone at dinner, that was until his excitable friend bounced over a few tables and skidded into the seat opposite.

"Billy" Marcus greeted as his new found friend slammed his tray down upon the table.

"You're like famous here" Billy laughed shovelling a mouthful of food between his lips "everyone's staring especially Chico, d'ya think he fancies you?"

Marcus allowed himself to spin round on his seat to catch Chico as he glared straight at him. He didn't stop once their eyes locked which made Marcus shiver with fright.

"He's a dick" Marcus mumbled towards the floor.

"Correction, hes what you'd call a popular jock at a normal school. He's higher tier and we're like swimming in the shit at the bottom of the food chain"

Marcus glanced around again suddenly noticing each divide between each group and their friends. He noticed that the people he had previously met were dotted around the room and barely glanced each other's way.

"Tell me about Gray" Marcus ordered after his eyes had attached to the girl as she sat on her own.

"Persephone? Marcus please leave her as a distant memory" Billy groaned and Marcus shot him a glare as if to beg him to tell him more.

Billy looked around worriedly he really didn't want to be caught talking about her in public, especially to the new kid.

"She's the most feared student here with a bigger kill count than most people combined. If she speaks to you you're in big trouble, she doesn't communicate unless she's shouting"

Marcus bit his cheek as he allowed himself to glance over to the girl, he couldn't understand how such a small girl could be so feared. She looked delicate almost.

"Who'd she kill?" Marcus asked looking back to Billy who scratched his head and let out a light laugh.

"Anyone she wanted, a loose gun, a real blood thirsty criminal"

"Bullshit" Marcus chuckled thinking back to the girl's soft and pale skin trying to imagine it drenched in blood.

Billy shifted in his seat as the girl caught one of his glances, he gulped down the sick in his throat and averted his eyes to Marcus who threw Sephy a smirk.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Billy snapped hitting Marcus on the back of his head.

Sephy watched as the scene unfolded and she almost wanted to laugh at the dorks. She couldn't deny that Marcus was cute and the way he lit his cigarette made her feel excited.

She left the cafeteria and entered a toilet stall, only to be followed by two other people.

"Yeah I kissed him" Maria had giggled applying another layer of lipsticks onto her pout as Saya her best friend had swung herself onto the sink next to her.

"And so did I" Saya fired back and the couple had gasped at each other "tell me you like him. Say it out into the open" she spread both arms out by her side "say, I like Marcus. Do it" Saya poked Maria's side and she squealed.

It was then that behind the stall, that Sephy had began to listen.

"I don't like him" she scoffed "I'm using him" she whispered to her best friend with an eyebrow wiggle.

Sephy from behind the door clenched her fists and fought with her urge not to punch the wall. She knew she was explosive, she just needed to reign it in before she blew her cover.

"I'll get him to kill Chico, just you watch" Maria smirked and Saya nudged her in the side before the girls bounced out the toilets.

"Fuck" Sephy cussed throwing her fist into the stall audibly cracking it, she winced but was used to the pain.

Why was she acting like she actually cared about the new boy?

"Breathe" she reminded herself before hiding her bleeding knuckles in her blazer pocket and exiting the toilet.
