             "memories are supposed to stay with us until we go to the afterlife. Some were good, and some were bad. But we'll always have that one happy memory that hurts the most"

Mina and Chaeyoung went inside the car and drove off. Chaeyoung took a nap since she got tired from being a hyper kid at the mountain park and Mina continued driving

*30 minutes later*

Mina: Chaeyoung, wake up, we're here

Mina gently woke Chaeyoung up

Chaeyoung: *yawns* where are we?

Mina: you'll see, come on

They went outside and saw a field of dandelions. It was quiet and calm as there was no people, except for them. The field has a lot of yellow dandelions and a great view of the nature and the city from afar

Chaeyoung: a field of dandelions...

Mina: yes Chaeyoung, dandelions. This is the special place I wanted you to come with me

Chaeyoung: are we going to watch the sunset here, together?

Mina: yep, we are

They sat down on a cloth on the ground and watched the view together with Chaeyoung's hand over Mina's shoulder

She suddenly got curious

Chaeyoung: Mina?

Mina: yeah?

Chaeyoung: how did this field of dandelions became special to you? And that, you wanted to go here with me?

Mina: special? Yeah, this field has and witnessed a lot of my good memories

Chaeyoung: a lot?

Mina: yes Chaeng, a lot. My mom and dad first met here, my dad proposed to her here too. I first learnt to walk and also talked here. We always bond as a family here

Mina said while having flashbacks and was teary eyed

Chaeyoung: are you okay Mina?

Mina: oh, yea, I'm okay Chae. It's just, I'm having flashbacks about it. But, among all those great memories, there's something that's always stays in my heart. This is also where I last saw my mom

Mina said while sobbing and Chaeyoung was patting her back

Mina: she told me to stay strong and to spend good memories with the people I love and cherish the most. But I didn't know, it was her last goodbye

Chaeyoung: what happened to your mom? Did she went away?

Mina: my mom? She passed away

Chaeyoung: oh I'm sorry

Mina: don't be, at least she was happy

Chaeyoung: w-why did she die?

Mina: I guess I need to tell you now

Chaeyoung: tell me what?

Mina: my mom has a condition that I consider as a curse. Her heart was quite weaker than everyone else. Physically, it was okay, but emotionally, no. Expressing too much feelings like happiness and love would make her heart weak and possibly stop anytime. She loved us so much, she didn't care whether her heart was in pain or not, as long as she was happy. The next day, her heart grew weak and....just stopped

Chaeyoung: you don't have to tell me that Mina

Mina: it's okay Chaeng, the condition my mom has.......I have it too

Chaeyoung's smile faded and looked at Mina

Mina: after losing my mom, my heart grew weak like her. I was told not to show too much feelings otherwise, I could end up like my mom. I stayed like that for years and probably that's why I got called a cold hearted penguin. But I remembered something my mom told me,               "does it matter when you're living a long life when you don't have good memories to remember? Is it worth risking? If this happens to you, choose happiness. It's not worth choosing a life you once lived that's filled with sad memories"

Chaeyoung: if your mom is still alive right now, I'm pretty sure she's proud of you

Mina: do you think so?

Mina said while wiping her tears

Mina: my parents also told me to go here with someone I love, in this field

Chaeyoung: is this why we went here together?

Mina: yes Chae, that's why

Chaeyoung: you know, I also have a memory here, that I cherish a lot but was quite painful to remember

Mina: really?

Chaeyoung: yeah, I was a daddy's girl

Chaeyoung said while remembering her past

Chaeyoung: my dad and I were really close. We always go here without telling my mom because she won't let us. When I was around 8 years old, Ryujin was 5 and my mom was pregnant with Jin Sol, we went here as a family

Mina listened to Chaeyoung while still staring at her

Chaeyoung: we watched the sunrise and sunset together. It's funny though, my dad told me that in the future, I should go here with my friends, then with my partner and lastly my family. And that, I should not leave them. But the next day, my dad went out for work and didn't come home. We don't know where he was or what happened to him, but all I know, he probably left us. If he's up there...

Chaeyoung said while pointing at the sky

Chaeyoung: I hope he's happy, because the memories I have of him, are the one of the things I love the most

Mina: we know your dad is always happy for you, look at you. You're one strong, talented teen now

Chaeyoung: you think? *sobs*

Mina: yes Chae, not just me, but everyone else

Chaeyoung: Mina, I'm going to the States soon

Chaeyoung said out of nowhere

Mina: why?

Chaeyoung: my mom decided that we would have better life there

Mina: you're going away forever?

Chaeyoung: for a few years

Mina's smile quickly faded

Chaeyoung: don't worry Mina, I'll come back soon. But for now, I have something to give you

Chaeyoung took out a ring box and inside were two couple rings

Chaeyoung: I'm not proposing or something but I want to give this to you

Mina: it's cute

Chaeyoung: I have a question

Mina: what is it?

Chaeyoung: do you love yourself?

Mina: yeah

Chaeyoung: I think we love the same person

Mina smiled and understood what Chaeyoung meant

Mina: I realized something

Chaeyoung: what?

Mina: I realized, I'm smiling everytime we're talking. I can't help but smile everytime I see you. You always made my day. You're the only person who made me feel like this

Chaeyoung blushed and smiled, she placed the ring on Mina's ring finger and other on her. The held hands and watched the sun as it sets between the mountains

After of few hours being together, they decided to go home. Chaeyoung let Mina sleep on the passenger seat and drove home

Mina: go inside now Chaeng

Chaeyoung: I want to see you drive off first

Mina: come on, fine, bye Chae

Chaeyoung: bye Mina, take care

Mina: I will

Chaeyoung: I love you

Mina: *chuckles* I love you too

Mina drove off and Chaeyoung went inside. Chaeyoung ran into her room and screamed on her pillow

             "Omg omg omg! Mina likes me too! I didn't know she, was hiding a secret from us. It doesn't matter, I will protect and take care of her!"

Mina, on the other hand, felt relieved after sharing and confessing her story

Mina: good job Mina, at least Chaeyoung knows now

Mina said to herself while looking at her ring

           "I hope this will be the start of our friendship"
