Dandelions: A Michaeng FanficChapter 9: The Meet                              "meeting each other's parents gave us chills even though we were just friends. Yet, it already feels like we're already official"

Chaeyoung arrived at Mina's house and quickly got off. She went in front of the gate, rang the doorbell and waited. She expected Sung Hoon to open up but their father, Mr. Myoi showed up instead

Mr. Myoi: hello, may I ask who are you?

Chaeyoung: hello, my name is Son Chaeyoung, a friend of Mina

Mr. Myoi: but Mina only has two friends, it's fine, come in!

Mr. Myoi and Chaeyoung went inside the house. It was spacious and there abstract paintings everywhere

Chaeyoung: do you like paintings sir?

Mr. Myoi: oh yes, my wife also likes it that's why we have a lot in the house. Oh, I haven't introduced myself to you. I am Myoi Akira, you can call me Mr. Myoi but if you feel uncomfortable with it, Sir Akira will do

Sung Hoon went down and saw Chaeyoung having a conversation with Mr. Myoi

Sung Hoon: oh, hi Chaeyoung! Are you here to visit Mina?

Chaeyoung: yeah

Mr. Myoi: I see you two met already, I'll prepare some snacks for you, Sung Hoon, please assist Chaeyoung to Mina's room

Sung Hoon: sure dad, let's go

Sung Hoon and Chaeyoung went and upstairs and she saw a lot of rooms and a small lounge for hanging out

Chaeyoung: which one is Mina's room here?

Sung Hoon: over there

He points at the blue-green door with penguin stickers over it and a sign that says "Mina's Room"

Chaeyoung: thanks

Chaeyoung knocked on the door and Mina responded

Mina: don't.........come........in, I want to be alone right now Sung Hoon

Chaeyoung: it's Chaeyoungie, Mina

Mina: Chaeyoungie?

Mina opened the door and saw Chaeyoung wearing her uniform with her name tag that said

Mina: oh, hi Chaeyoung, come in

Chaeyoung went inside Mina's room and was amazed by the decor. It has mint wallpaper with penguins on it

Chaeyoung: you like penguins, huh

Mina: yeah, so, why are you here?

Chaeyoung: you wanted to be alone?

Mina: yes

Chaeyoung: I went here to check on you, but it seems you want to be alone right now. I'll check next time. Bye Minari

Mina: wait no

Mina pulled Chaeyoung to her but she pulled her too hard and she ended sitting down on her bed and Chaeyoung fell on top of her

They both looked at each other, and got flashbacks from the fall before. But this time, they smiled at each other

Mina: remember something?

Chaeyoung: yeah

Chaeyoung kissed Mina's forehead and tried to get up but Mina hugged her

Mina: don't go

Chaeyoung rolled on her side and stared at her and Mina did the same

They both smiled at each other and chuckled

Chaeyoung: you're so pretty Minari

Mina blushed and made her heart beat a lot. She got worried but when she looked back at Chaeyoung, she didn't felt any pain

Mina: you're prettier Chaeng

Chaeyoung: I still don't understand why people call you cold hearted when you're this warm                           "it's because they still doesn't know my secret yet Chaeng. I'll tell you when it's time, just wait for now"

Mina thought to herself

While Mina and Chaeyoung were still on the bed, Sung Hoon knocked on the door and by surprise, the two immediately stood up

Sung Hoon: Mina, Chaeyoung! There's snacks downstairs, dad's waiting

Sung Hoon shouted

Mina: okay okay!

They fixed themselves and went downstairs

Mr. Myoi: you finally went down here Mina

Mina: I know

Mr. Myoi: Chaeyoung, take a seat, feel at home

Chaeyoung: will do, thank you

Mr. Myoi: so, you're Mina's new classmate at school?

Chaeyoung: that's right sir

Mr. Myoi: I see I see, you guys seem close, are you two close friends already?

Chaeyoung: yes

Mina: no

They both said at the same time

Mr. Myoi: I guess you two are still acquaintances

Mina: just friends dad

In the middle of eating, Mr. Myoi's phone suddenly rang

Mr. Myoi: excuse me for a while

A few minutes later he went back inside, taking the car keys like a flash

Mr. Myoi: I have an urgent situation at work. Chaeyoung, if you're gonna go home, just tell Sung Hoon and he'll drop you off okay?

Chaeyoung: okay sir

Mr. Myoi went out and left them for a while.

*hours later*

Chaeyoung: hey Mina, I need to go home, my mom is going to call me anytime now

Mina: really? Right now?

Chaeyoung: yeah, by the way, your dad is really nice

Mina: he's always like that, well Chaeng, I hope you could visit again soon

Chaeyoung: I will

Sung Hoon: ready to go Chae?

Chaeyoung: yeah, bye Mina!

Chaeyoung went in the car and Mina went in her room again. She saw Chaeyoung's name tag on her bed and got confused. But she remembered she accidentally grabbed it when she pulled Chaeyoung. She ran downstairs and called outside, but they were already gone                           "I guess I'll just give it to her after school. That way I can see her again"Mina thought to herself

*Next day*

*At school*

Jihyo: it's already Friday =(

Tzuyu: why?

Jihyo: Somi will go back to the States after T^T

Tzuyu: wait for real?

Somi: yeah sadly, I will miss you guys

They all did a group hug and Mina walked in, looking confused

Chaeyoung: join with us Minari

Chaeyoung pulled Mina but Mina refused

Sana and Momo: ehhh

Mina: what

Sana: nothing

Mina: by the way Chaeyoung, you left this

She took Chaeyoung's nametag inside her bag and handed it

Chaeyoung: I was looking for this everywhere, thanks Mina

She said while hugging Mina. Mina tried not to chuckle as to not look obvious in front of class

Chaeyoung: um, Mina

Mina: yes?

Chaeyoung: oh nothing, you might be busy today

As usual, their first subject teacher went inside their classroom, all grumpy and started the lesson

*after school*

*bell rings*

Prof. Shen: I guess that's all for now class, any more questions?

Everyone: none

Prof. Shen: since there's no more questions, class dismissed

Everybody went out their classrooms, some are  running on their way home, some stayed at the cafeteria, and the rest casually walked outside the campus. Chaeyoung went outside waved goodbye and walked to her house                           "I think should ask Sung Hoon to drop me at Chaeyoung's house since he knows it more, and that he's picking me up"

Sung Hoon arrived at the front entrance of the school and was looking for Mina

Sung Hoon: there you are, let's go

Mina: uhh, could you drive me to Chaeyoung's house?

Sung Hoon: sure, go in

*while driving*

Sung Hoon: so, why are you going to her house all of a sudden?

Mina: for school reasons?

Mina lied

Sung Hoon: oh okay, you don't visit someone for nothing unless it's Sana or Momo, I guess Chaeyoung is smart

Mina: yeah, she is

She whispered to herself

They arrived at Chaeyoung's and Mina got out of the car

Sung Hoon: I'll pick you up by six, dad will be home by seven today

Mina: sure, thanks for the ride

Sung Hoon drove off and Mina was having second thoughts on ringing the doorbell. But, Ryujin went out and saw her

Ryujin: hello

Mina: hi, is Chaeyoung inside?

Ryujin: yeah, with Somi unnie. Who are you, may I ask?

Mina: my name's Myoi Mina, or just Mi-

Ryujin: ohhh, you're the sister of Chaeyoung unnie's secret admirer

Mina: secret admirer?

Ryujin: yeah, I think his name was Sung Hoon, he went here last time to ask something but I didn't know what that was. My name is Ryujin, Son Ryujin. Come in!                           "wait, secret admirer? Does Sung Hoon like Chaeyoung? Oh come on Mina, he acts like an older brother to her, not a boyfriend"

She wondered

Ryujin and Mina went inside the house together

Ryujin: Chaeyoung unnie! The sister of Sung Ho-, oh wait, your secret admirer is here!

Chaeyoung: how many times do I have to tell you, he's not my secret admi- oh, hi Mina. What are you doing here?

Mina: I just wanted to see you, wait...my brother is your secret admirer?

Chaeyoung: don't mind her, she's just annoying me. Sung Hoon just asked something personally to me last time                                    "well that was a relief"

Mina thought

Somi: hi Mina! Glad to see you

Mina: oh, hi Somi

Jin Sol: unnie unnie unnie!

Jin Sol shouted while running downstairs

Chaeyoung: what do you want Jin Sol?

Jin Sol: I heard someone doorbell and I wan-, oh hi!

Mina: hi

Jin Sol: anyway, is mommy coming home?

Chaeyoung: not yet, why don't you draw something again upstairs

Jin Sol: no thanks, I already drew a lot upstairs                                  "great, now Jin Sol might say everything to Mina. Son Chaeyoung, just hope , she's not gonna say it"

Chaeyoung thought

Jin Sol: are you Mina unnie?

Mina: yeah, how did you know?

Mina tried to say in a sweet tone because Jin Sol was still a kid

Jin Sol: Hi, I'm Jin Sol, Son Jin Sol. Chaeyoung unnie talked about you a lot and tha-

Chaeyoung: okayyy, that's enough Jin Sol

"I knew it"

Chaeyoung said while putting her hand over Jin Sol's mouth

Jin Sol: Chaeyoung unnie likes you!

She said and ran upstairs

Chaeyoung: uhh no, she still a kid, kids joke all the time right?

Ryujin: but kids don't lie unnie

Chaeyoung: I'm gonna get you later Son Ryujin!

Ryujin: okay fine, I'm sorry!

Mina: it's okay Chaeyoung, your sisters really annoy you all the time huh?

Ryujin: all the time Mina unnie, can I get a fist bomb?

Mina: fist bomb? What's a fist bomb?

Ryujin: here, you put your hand into a fist and do like a high five with it

Ryujin said while showing it

Mina: oh I see

Ryujin: let's do one. Nice one Mina unnie!

A car pulled in the driveway and the engine stopped. The car door opened and a woman in her late 30s, stepped out

Jin Sol: it's eomma!

Jin Sol happily walked downstairs with a paper in her hand

Mrs. Son: I'm home

Jin Sol: eomma!

Mrs. Son: aigo, you're heavy Jin Sol, you drew something again? Hi Somi, Oh, a new friend Chaeyoung?

Chaeyoung: yes mom. Mom this is Mina, Mina this is my mom

Mina: nice to meet you ma'am, my name is Myoi Mina, a friend of Chaeyoung

Mrs. Son: nice to meet you too Mina, my name is Son Seo-ah but call me Mrs. Son instead

She said in a pleased tone

Mrs. Son: is everyone hungry? I got some food here, feel at home Mina. My Somi, I'm glad to see you again

Somi: I missed you too Mrs. Son

Mrs. Son: Chaeyoung, why don't you and your friends stay in your room for a while

Somi: it's okay Mrs. Son, I'm about to go home. I need to do some things at home

Mrs. Son: is that so? Take care Somi

Somi: bye Chaeyoung! Bye Mina!

Chaeyoung: bye! Take care. Let's go in my room?

Mina: okay

They went upstairs and Chaeyoung locked the door behind her

Chaeyoung: so that no one can go insi-

Jin Sol: CHAEYOUNG UNNIE!

Jin Sol shouted and knocked on the door aggressively. Chaeyoung opened the door and Ryujin was holding a black hoodie and Jin Sol walked away

Chaeyoung: what

Ryujin: Mina unnie, I think this is yours

Mina: I left it... Thanks Ryujin

Ryujin: anytime unnie

Chaeyoung: don't disturb us for a while

Ryujin: why? What are you two gonna do?

Ryujin smirked

Chaeyoung: get out

Chaeyoung immediately closed and locked the door

Chaeyoung: sorry about that

Mina: it's fine, you still have the bag

Chaeyoung: oh this, yeah, it's a strawberry bag so I like it a lot. Jin Sol said someone gave it to me, they were wearing a black hoodie, similar to yours and tha-, wait...... Are you the one who gave this to me?

Mina: well, if I say yes, are you going to believe me?

Chaeyoung: oh thank you Mina!

Chaeyoung pushed Mina on her bed and hugged her

Chaeyoung: is your heart okay? I always feel it beating faster than usual when I hug you

Mina: really? Maybe I'm just nervous

Chaeyoung: why would be nervous?

She said while sitting down and holding Mina's hand

Mina: well it's my first time meeting your mom

Chaeyoung: oh haha, my mom is really nice, you don't have to be scared of her

Mina: oh okay

Chaeyoung: so, why did you go here all of a sudden

Mina: I want to see you

Chaeyoung: aww *blushes*

Mina: is it true?

Chaeyoung: the what?

Mina: what your sister said

Chaeyoung: Jin Sol?

Mina: yeah, that you like me

Chaeyoung: that, as a friend you know. You're really nice and that you actually care for everyone. They just thought of you as a cold hearted person because you're serious most of the time                            "Mina....... You really though she actually likes you. Mina paboya,  you're the one having feelings, not her. Is this what they call a one-sided love?"

Mina thought to herself

Mina: also, I want to ask you something

Chaeyoung: what is it?

Mina: do you want to go out with me, you know, go somewhere with me

Chaeyoung: I don't think I-

Mina: it's okay if you don't want, it's not that urgent

Chaeyoung: I meant I don't think I can't refuse that! I will go out with you! When though?

Mina: tomorrow morning, if it's okay

Chaeyoung: sure!

Mrs. Son: Chaeyoung, your food is ready

She said while knocking on the door. Chaeyoung took the food and thanked her mom

Chaeyoung: okayyy, she cooked tteokbokki today

Mina: it smells good

They ate while having a conversation together. It was until Sung Hoon texted Mina

*phone vibrates*

Mina: oh it's Sung Hoon

Sung Hoon

Sung HoonHey, I'll pick you up in5 mins, wait outside =)

Mina: he's going to pick me up in five minutes

Chaeyoung: really? Let me help you fix your things

Mina and Chaeyoung went downstairs and waited outside

Ryujin: Mina unnie is going home?

Chaeyoung: yeah

Ryujin: aww, visit again next time unnie, fist bomb

Mina: fist bomb

A few minutes later, Sung Hoon arrived and Mina went inside the car

Chaeyoung: bye Mina, take care

Mina: bye Chaeyoung

Ryujin and Jin Sol: bye Mina unnie!

Mina: bye

Sung Hoon and Mina drove off and Mina smiled while looking outside the car window

Sung Hoon: since when did you smile like that Mina?

Mina: today? I saw her again

Sung Hoon: you really like Chaeyoung

Mina: what?

Sung Hoon: nothing, you never did that, but it seems you like to see Chaeyoung everyday. Are you happy today?

Mina: yeah. Yeah I am, by the way, can I borrow your car tomorrow

Sung Hoon: sure, why?

Mina: for a date
