I was a bit astonished as I felt her gentle fingers run into my cheek. Agad na napa angat ang tingin ko sakanya dahil sa patukoy na pag haplos niya sa pisngi ko.

I wish my mom can be as gentle as her.

"It's fine, young man. Don't be shy." My gaze remained at her, scrutinizing her lamblike expression.

I can say that she is in the same age as my mom but I can barely enumerate their difference.

"Mom can you mend his wound?" I looked at the kid named Ezekiel and smiled ag him. I really can't understand myself a while ago.

I didn't know I am already coming on his way to block the ball that was about to hit him earlier.

"Mom?" His expression remained limped. Kanina lang nakangiti ngayon pokerface. Tantrums? I did not lurk the smile that wanted to escape from me and just let it be showed.

Siya ang unang nakausap ko sa lugar na to simula ng lumipat kami ni Mom. Hindi na ako magtataka kung balang araw ay ituturing namin na kaibigan ang isa't isa.

"Of course, son. We owe him a lot, your new friend Terrence.." she gently hold my hand as she pulled me back to the bench. "..come on young man. Let Tira Elizabeth mend the wound of my son's hero." She said with a lot of sweetness that is clearly evident in her voice.

"Never will I consider anyone as my friend, Mom." Halata nga.

"My son is really into jokes.." she whispered as she moved closer to my side. "..but his joke was nev--"

"I can hear you, Mom." He halted her mom's word as he started to walk towards our direction.

I witnessed how his forehead creased as his gaze darted into my arms. My eyes slightly widen and hurriedly hid both arms at my back.

Hiding my bruises from his sight.

Muli ay humarap ako sa Mama niya at ngumiti. "Sorry if I wasted your time curing my wound, Ma'am. The truth is, I did not really intend to cover up your son from that ball.." I lied. "..napadaan lang po talaga ako at nagkataong ako ang natamaan."

"Nah, you di--"

"I'm sorry po, but my Mom might be looking for me as we talked. Aalis na po ako." Hindi ko pinansin ang hapdi ng tuhod ko at nagpatuloy lang sa pagtakbo.

I wish I can be lucky as you are, Ezekiel.
