Chapter 11

Colson pov

I woke up at exactly 6:45 A.M. The birds were chirping, the trees were swaying, and the streets were unoccupied. I got dressed in a black wife beater and put a red button up over it and black jeans that were cut at the knees. I then put on my favorite weed socks and black chucks as always.

Ready to go, I walked down the hall to Monica's room and knocked on the door. She opened up the door wearing a black t-shirt, white jeans, and black vans. Without me asking her if she was ready she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

"You look spiffy today." She said with such elegance.

"Thanks, you seem comfortable." I said with a smile.

"Thanks, I honestly didn't expect you to be up so early." She sounded disappointed, like she wanted to be the only one awake roaming the house.

"I hope I didn't stop you from taking a little adventure. You don't have to go if you don't want to." I said kind of sad, I actually wanted to spend the day with her.

"No it's totally fine, there's nothing that I can't do later." She said giving a hopeful smile.

We walked down the hall, to the staircase and made our way to the bottom. I grabbed my keys off the rack and we headed for the garage. A quick gasp escaped Monica's mouth as the garage door opened. It was going to take some getting used to her being star struck by everything.

"Come on, we'll take the truck it's Casie's favorite!" I said in amusement.

Monica pov

I stared at the truck for a few brief moments before getting in. It was my dream car, a F250 King Ranch edition and I could only dream of having one.

"You and your daughter have great taste." I said giggling.

It was true, from the art to the vehicles that he owned, he had amazing taste.

"Thanks what can I say she gets it from me." He said grinning.

I laughed at the thought, a four year old had good taste that was probably better than mine.

"I can't wait to meet her." I said looking out the window.

"That's good! I have a feeling she'll really like you." He said with his eyes glued to the road.

"That's good to know." I said.

Colson turned on the radio and asked if I wanted to plug my phone up to the aux cord.

"I'm fine, I'd actually would like to listen to your music." I said confidently.

He looked at me up and down, trying to figure out if I was serious I guess. After searching my face he plugged up his phone and picked a random playlist.

"Like to try new things?" He asked grinning.

"That would be a little of an understatement." I said

Colson listened to very interesting music and no song ever sounded like the one that was played previous to it. Every song was special in it's own way whether it was the beat or the lyrics themselves. As the ride became longer and longer I stared at the trees noticing how they flew by. We finally got off on exit 90, the same exit that our bus had broken down at. I shivered at the thought of hitch hiking.

We drove into a neighborhood labeled : Wanderlust Hills. It was a big neighborhood filled with houses that reeked of money. Not the type of place for ordinary people but rather those who were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Colson finally stopped in front of a green house that was one of the smallest houses in the neighborhood. It couldn't of had any more than four.

"I want you to stay in here and if I'm gone longer than twenty minutes, call the cops." He said seriously.

I was scared I had just met him and yet I couldn't imagine my life without him. He was an amazing person and I didn't want to think about the things that could happen to him. I couldn't imagine myself leaving here by myself, having to tell the guys that something happened to Colson.

"Okay, twenty minutes! You get in and get out." I said with a stern look.

He laughed and walked into the house. I put my timer on twenty minutes, I was prepared for anything. This felt like I was the star of mission impossible and Colson was my costar.
