"hey sunoo, i saw ni-ki's tweet last night. you made some bunggeoppang with him?" sunoo stopped drinking soda when he heard heeseung asking him.

sunghoon looked at heeseung as if he's telling him to stop.

"yeah, we went to to visit the booth of the culinary students and ni-ki insisted that he wanted to eat so we just tried it," he smiled, feeling a little bit awkward that sunghoon is listening.

heeseung nodded and grinned. "that's cool, how about you go with sunghoon later? you know, like a date-" sunghoon stood up and covered his friend's mouth before he could even finish his sentence.

"haha don't you have some papers to finish?" sunghoon pushed heeseung out of the booth. "just go you idiot."

heeseung glared at him and smiled at sunoo, waving as he walked away.

"sorry about that," sunghoon went back and sat beside him.

sunoo just laughed and shrugged. "that's fine."

"uh..by the way, are you free later?"

"i, uh..." sunoo paused, realizing that daniel texted him yesterday about something. "i have to do something later, but i'll text you if i'm free. is that okay?"

sunghoon smiled and nodded, showing his dimple. "that's great. i'll wait for it then."

"oh look who finally came back!" sunoo rolled his eyes when he heard geonu's loud voice as he stepped inside their room.

"shut up, i wasn't even gone that long."

he walked straight towards jungwon and sat beside him. he paused and looked at his friend again.

"why do you look like that?"

jungwon raised his eyebrow. "what?"

"you look stressed. you good?" he grew more concerned when he heard him sigh.

"it's nothing. by the way, have you seen daniel?"

sunoo shrugged. "nope, he's still not here? he said he wanted to talk about something."

he got startled when jungwon grabbed his shoulder. "he said that?"

"yeah? why?" he got confused. is there something going on?

the other boy sighed again. "it's nothing. i'm just gonna go buy some food." he stood up and left sunoo, who still looks confused.

the night came, and it's the last day of their carnival week. students and visitors are all checking out every booth and having fun.

"sunoo! someone's looking for you outside," hanbin yelled while assisting their customers. sunoo stopped eating and went outside the booth.

sunoo almost yelled when someone's hands covered his eyes. he tried to remove it, but the person covering him was not even budging.

"okay, who are you?" he asked, trying to guess the person by their hands.

"you don't know me? that sucks," sunoo chuckled when he heard the person speak.

"okay nishimura i know it's you, now take your hands off my face," ni-ki finally removed his hands from sunoo's eyes, but proceeded to pinch both sides of his cheeks.

"no! stop it-" sunoo laughed and held ni-ki's hands to stop him from murdering his face.

ni-ki pouted but finally gave up. his right hand took sunoo's left hand, holding it while smiling. sunoo stared at their hands, biting the inside of his cheek to stop himself from smiling.

"are you busy? let's go eat something, you like rice cakes right?"

sunoo nodded. "but I can't come with you right now. i have plans with daniel later, and i don't know what time we'll be done."

ni-ki paused. his best friend? he wants to tell sunoo to ditch the guy and just hang out with him, but he can't. because at the end of the day, they're still just friends.

"oh, okay then. how about you text me if you finish early?" ni-ki asked, hopeful.

"um.." sunoo mentally cursed when he remembered that he also told sunghoon that he'll text him if he's free later. what the fuck am i even doing? i wanna hang out with them but i feel like people are gonna misunderstood. he thought.

"this is why you should've chose who you like between them. at this point you're just toying with their feelings," jungwon's words echoed in his mind.

"sorry, i can't. i already told sunghoon that i'll text him if i'm free later." sunoo saw ni-ki's eyes with sadness for a moment, but the guy just smiled at him.

"don't be sorry, we can always hang out anytime. i'll go now, take care," ni-ki pinched sunoo's cheek once more as he let go of his hand, waving as he walked away.

as expected, he will still choose sunghoon. nishimura sighed. how could i compete with the guy that he likes?

sunoo grinned when he spotted daniel on the swing, waving at him. they're at the park outside their university. the music blasting inside their school can also be softly heard at the park.

"look at you, did you really ditch our booth earlier?" sunoo playfully pushed him.

daniel chuckled. "i asked for hanbin hyung's permission though."

"what?! ugh, the favoritism is showing."

sunoo sit on the swing beside daniel's, gently pushing his feet on the ground.

"so what's the matter?" he asked.

he saw daniel muttered something, and then his best friend face him.

"sunoo," he stared at sunoo's face. "you know that we're best friends since middle school right? i remember when you first approached me because i was alone and i didn't have any friends back then. you suddenly said that you'll be my best friend. honestly, i was so glad that you talked to me that time. you were like an angel to me."

sunoo smiled while hearing daniel's confession. he remembers it too, back when he first saw daniel in middle school. sunoo was always surrounded by his friends, and he noticed that daniel was just quietly sitting at the back of their room. so he talked to him, and that's when they became best of friends.

"until now, you always will be an angel in my eyes. honestly, i thought to myself that i will always be here, as your best friend. but sunoo, i don't think i can anymore."

daniel stared at his eyes, and that's when sunoo stopped smiling. "what? what do you mean by that?"

"sunoo," daniel held his hand tightly. "i...i like you, this whole damn time. since you talked to me that day. i like you, and i was trying to hide this for a very long time-but i can't anymore."

i know.

sunoo closed his eyes as he held back his tears.

"dongkyu, i'm sorry...but you know i can't reciprocate your feelings right?"

daniel smiled bitterly and nodded. "i know. i'm just telling you because i don't wanna keep this for so long. and we're best friends, i don't wanna make things awkward for you. i was afraid of confessing because i thought you wouldn't want to be friends with me anymore."

sunoo finally let his tears out. "why would you say that? you'll still be my best friend. no one can ever change that." he pouted.

daniel inhaled deeply and ruffled his hair. "i'm glad i finally told you."

"psh, you like me huh? i knew i was that charming-ouch! is this the right way to treat the person you like?" the pale boy yelled while sitting on the ground after being pushed by daniel.

"huh? i already moved on, like 5 seconds ago. let's go eat!"

"your treat? i don't have money with me."

"let's sell your polaroids then."

"you shit-"
