Chapter 10

"hello.. Lucas.."

"helena where is  sia ..?" I asked as soon as she answered.

"Lucas , i am in the middle of a meeting , I will send you a location She might be there" she said and ended the call

Just where is she..? I was so frustrated and rushed to my car.. If it's somewhere she usually goes then she would be safe right..? But what if she wasn't there.? What if.. Haah.. I don't even want to think about it.. I turned on the GPS and drove to the location Helena sent me

It's a small town far away  from the  city.. What is she doing in this mountain range..?! Is this the correct location..?  When I was about to try  calling  her again.. I saw her blonde hair shining in the distance and Austin's trolley is beside her.   I stopped the car and walked towards her.. She was sitting  on the floor and Austin was in his trolley playing.. I was about to scold her but I stopped when I realized where she is exactly.. it's a cemetery.. She placed  flowers  on two graves written as ' in the memory of Claude de Alger obelia' and beside that' Diana de Alger obelia'

It's her parents'grave.. Is it one of her parents' remembrance day  today..?!! Is that why she looked so gloomy from  yesterday..?!! She was sitting there  crouched  her face leaned on her knees and she was just staring at the flowers in daze..

I sighed letting all my frustrations out.. Nothing happened to them. they are safe.. Thank goodness..!! My son saw me and squealed pulling my hand , no , exactly my finger  with his whole tiny hand  .. She turned towards him and saw me standing there..

"lucas...!! How did you come here ..?!!"

she asked trying to get up but I swiftly Sat beside and pushed her shoulder  to make her sit again..

"haah.. I called you many times but you didn't answer, so I asked helena where you could be and.. found you..."

I said caressing  her head.. I hate her sad face.. She is  beautiful when she smiles and cool when she is mad but it's painful when she is sad.. She searched for her mobile and gasped.

" I.. I am sorry lucas.. I didn't know the phone was in silent mode.. I am really sorry"

she said with a sad puppy face. How can I get mad at you when you look at me like this..?!!

" it's ok, just be careful and tell me when you go outside.." I said and she nodded a yes..

"baa..aa.. Guu.." we turned and saw austin drop his toy and try to climb down from his trolley. I pulled his trolley towards me and took him out..

"gaahh.." he squealed and I made him sit on my lap... He reached out to his toy which is  on the ground 

" don't.. It's dirty"

athy said grabbing his hand and he pouted. He looked up at me with puppy eyes and we giggled..pfft.. he inherited all his  cuteness from his mom.

" even if you ask your papa it's a no.. I will give you another one.. Here"

she said as she took out another toy and gave it to him. He grabbed it and threw it away and buried his face on my chest.. We can't stop laughing at how cute he Is when he is mad..

" are you mad at mama austin..?" she  asked with puppy eyes and he peeked  at her

"mama is sorry" she said grabbing her ears and he  giggled..

"come here" she said and he held his hands out..

"he must be hungry that's why he is throwing tantrums.."

she mumbled as she gave him his feeding bottle and he started drinking with  his  chubby cheeks moving in and out cutely.. I took out his blanket from the trolley and covered him.. And we Sat there in silence.. It's a comfortable silence

" this place is so peaceful.."

I said and she hummed looking up at the sky.. It's beautiful.. We are sitting  under a huge tree in the middle of nowhere.. Everywhere you look around it's green and full of trees, the mountain ranges in the distance and the mid morning sun gives a peaceful vibe.. But the air is chilly..

"this place is mom's favourite" she said in a low voice..

"is it your mom's remembrance day..?" I asked and she nodded a yes

" My mom and I  used to come here for dad's remembrance day and  mom really liked this place.. She would always say  she wanted to give dad company here  once she  was dead .. And I would scold her every time  but she would just  laugh at me... She is so carefree.. You can't find an independent soul like my mom.. "she said and I giggled.

" I won't agree.. There is one here.. " I said pointing at her and she giggled.

" I am not at her level   " she said tilting her head smiling .

" aww..our tintin fell asleep " she said as she patted his back.. I turned and stared at their tombs.

" What do they look like?!!..?" I blurted out in curiosity   and she smiled.. She showed me her parents photo

"wow.. !!You are a carbon copy of your mom..!and your dad is handsome. " I said and she giggled.

" I don't know about dad since he died when mom was pregnant .. Mom raised me alone and everyone would always say we look like sisters not mother and daughter but isn't my mom more beautiful than me...? " she said.

"hmm.. Yeah.. A bit.." I said and she pouted cutely .. pfft.. cute!.

" but.. Your eyes are the  most beautiful" I said and she smiled.. That bright  sunshine  smile.. Now that she looks less gloomy  I feel  relieved..

I don't know when it started but she did something to me... I feel happy when she is happy and I feel irritated when she is sad.. I hate that.. I notice even her small expressions and I like everything she does..

Everything she says.. It's like my world is revolving around her.. She really flipped my life upside down.. I got carried away in my feeling that I didn't  realize I was caressing her cheek and she stared at  me with an expression I don't know what is it..

" you really don't listen to others .." I said as I took my hand from her and removed my coat..

" wear something thick when you are going out .. How many times I had told you this ..? "

I scolded her as I covered her with my coat and she nodded a yes...thank God.. it didn't turn out awkward..

" sorry.. Let's go... It's getting late"

she said as she carefully handed austin to me and got up to pack the foods she put in front of the tomb..

"how did you come here..?" I asked looking  around.. Cause I didn't see the car

" in bus... I used to come here with mom in the bus that's why.." she said as she packed everything and got up..

"let's go..." she said but I can feel that she doesn't want to part from her mother but she has to..we bowed to them and started walking.. She took austin from me and I shrunk the trolley and carried it in my one hand while holding her hand in the other.

" I am curious" I mumbled and she stared at me

"huh..?"

" what would your mom say about me if she was alive..?" I asked and she smiled..

" she was such a drama queen.. She would have bragged about how handsome her son in law is to everyone and hung out with you just to show off to others.." she said and I chuckled..

" She is more free spirited than I thought" I said and she nodded a yes.

"And I am sure of this one thing.. "she said smiling at me...

" what..? " I asked

" she would have been so happy.. Maybe she is  happy right now too... "she said smiling.. Her bright smile made me smile too

"hmm.. Then it's a relief " I said  and she nodded a yes..

" humm... And.. If we two had a fight she would definitely take your side.." she said and I giggled..

"pfft.. Maybe she knows you don't need support .." I said and she smacked my hand.

"am I a gangster or what..?" she said pouting.. When we reached the car it had a flat tire..

" what the.. ?!! It Was fine when I parked it though..?!" I said crouching down.

" Maybe it's the kids.. There is a village nearby, kids there are so naughty.." she said and I sighed..

" then let's  take the bus.. I will ask my Manager to send someone to get my car.. " I said and she stared at me surprised.

"you... taking the bus ..?!! " she asked as if I said something unbelievable..

" I am not some alien I travelled on the bus before.. Let's go.."

I said and she gasped.. is she teasing me...?

" you really did..?!" she asked tilting her head..

"of course. let's go.. Wait."

I put austin's trolley in the trunk and locked the  car.. We walked towards the bus stop and there were few people waiting there for the bus.. Austin woke up and stared up at me with his jewel eyes..

" guu..huu.."

he babbled as he waved his hands up and down..i carried him in my arms and he giggled patting my cheek.. He is in a good mood today. 

" oh the bus is here.. Let's go.. "

sia said and we got inside the bus.. It's already full but  luckily we got a seat.. When we Sit, I can feel so many gazes on us.. Maybe we were overdressed to travel by bus...?!!

" austin.. Look.."

sia was showing outside and austin giggled happily... His giggling sound was all over the bus and everyone smiled at him..

He is so cute that everyone who sees him smiles at him ... The bus was moving slowly austin was watching his favourite rhymes in my mobile and sia fell asleep..the road got bumpy and she leaned her head on my shoulder and my heart skipped a beat

This is how I  felt the other day too.. When we were hugging  in front of the cafe ... A Warm, fulfilled feeling like I Finally got a reason to live for.. A euphoric feeling spreading throughout my body.. My heart feels overwhelmed.. It's a  feeling I never knew existed within me... These two stirred my heart and made me feel things I never knew I could feel..

"oh my .. Such a cute baby.. Are you Guys from seoul ...?"

A middle aged lady  asked me.. She and some other the same age as her were  sitting opposite to us and their eyes  show  they are  too curious to know

"yeah.." I said nodding my head and they smiled.

"what's his name..? He looks like your mini version his eyes are so beautiful.." one of those ladies said and I smiled..

" thanks.. His name is Austin.. Austin Blackford.."

I said patting his head and he snuggled his face on my chest. Athy got up and Sat straight.. she smiled at me as soon as our eyes met.

" Sleep more if  you want.. I will wake  you up when we reach "I said as I corrected her messy bangs and she nodded a no..

" then I can't sleep at night "

she mumbled and when she saw the opposite of us she was surprised for a minute then  smiled at them .. I turned to see those ladies smiling at her..

When we got down from the bus those ladies also got down and we bowed them a bye..

" then .. We will get going.. Go back safely.. You two look so good together and your baby is so cute that we can't take our eyes off you.. If we were  being rude we are sorry" one of those ladies said

"no...no..it's OK.. Thank you." sia said and they smiled .

Then we took a cab to our house and austin was playing all the way home  ... We had lunch together and austin started crying so sia tried to put him to sleep.. I sat at  the desk doing my office work and when I looked up both of them fell asleep..

I walked  towards them  and covered them with a bedsheet when I was about to leave sia grabbed my hand half asleep..

"Lucas..." she mumbled..

"hmm..? " I hummed  .

" thanks for today.. Because of you... I felt less lonely  ..."

she mumbled with a smile her eyes still half closed.. I felt a warm feeling spreading inside me... She slowly let go off my hand as she fully  fell asleep.. I Sat  beside her on the bed and stared at them for a while..

They two look so cute when they are sleeping.. Then my phone rang making me jerk off from the bed.

Huh.. The manager is calling..

" hello.."

" sir your car got into an accident while coming back to  seoul and the driver was hospitalised.." he said.. I immediately rushed outside

"What happened..?" I asked as I rushed to my car and started driving..

When I reached the hospital fortunately the driver was safe from danger and he had to rest for a few months until his fractured leg heals.. I told my manager to do all the arrangements  for him to rest at his home and  cabel entered panting.

"lucas I have something to say" he said panting..

" let's talk outside" I said and we Sat in the cafeteria

" is that driver OK..?" he asked worried

"yeah he is.. Tell me what it is..?" I asked.. I kinda felt like I know what he's gonna say.

" it's not an accident it's an attempted murder"

he said and I sighed in  frustration.. I knew it.. If only my car wasn't punctured at that time and I drove that... Just the thought of that made me tremble..

" what should we do...?" he asked.

"what else do you want to do .. Other than paying back his kindness.." I said irritated  and he nodded a yes.

"it's definitely your uncle right.? .." cabel said and I nodded a yes.

" I will take care of them.. So don't worry"

I said and he nodded a yes .. Then we discussed the right time to execute our plan
