Chapter 19

"I feel left out?" All might tilted his head looking at the two smiling wide with almost matching outfits. Keira was holding multiple shopping bags.

Tenko was dressed in a white t-shirt and blue pants. Keira was wearing jean shorts and a white t-shirt, her hair in a high ponytail with some bangs framing her face.

She placed down the bags on the sofa before grinning, "you didn't miss much. Let's go to TDL!!"

The amusement park was crowded filled with people laughing and running. It was contagious, the excitement. Keira grinned at them before pulling both Tenko and All might towards one of the rides. They went on roller coasters, kid rides, everything.. The entire day was having fun and laughter and every time she looked at Tenko, she would find a fond smile on her face at his excited eyes and reserved smile that threatened to break out into a large grin.

She saw All might reach out and place Tenko on his shoulders, to which the boy became happier about. Her eyes drifted to All Might, man he looks cute.. His bangs were down, his hair messier than his hero style. He was wearing a white t-shirt and some green cargo pants. Come to think of it, I saw that outfit before..

"Let's ride that one" he pointed to the ferris wheel. They walked to it joking and laughing. The atmosphere was warm as the sun started slowly going down. When there were two people before their turn, she looked up and felt a little bit queasy. This is super high.. oh boy.

All might leaned towards her, "You know that's almost the same height of might towers. You did fly to the roof before.."

She leaned whispering with a sweet smile on her face, "Liar, this is at least double."

The corner of his lips quirked before it was their turn. He set Tenko down and they entered the cabin. They slowly started going up and with each second the ground went away, Keira had to chant in her head, It's fine it's okay these things have a very low possibility of breakin-- dont think that!

"You were riding rollercoasters normally." All might raised an eyebrow making both of them look at him. She huffed, "Well this is somehow scarier."

She kept looking up and muttering before a small hand took hers. "It's okay. I'm with you nee-san."

Her hand clutched her heart, too cute, before she hugged him with a large grin. "Kid, you need to stop doing this.." she mumbled. All might watched the two who had mirroring expressions. There was no doubt of how close the two had become. He turned to the view.

"Look at that. We're reaching the top." Her stomach flipped at the thought but when she turned her head to the direction that the blonde man was looking, her face turned into awe. It was.. beautiful. The sun was setting and the sky was a mixture of pinks and yellows. It was great.

Forgotten were her fears and instead all she could focus on was this moment of peace with Tenko and Toshinori.

***They went off of the ride. The sky was dark, the sunset was done, and the blue colors were in. Keira sighed with a small smile at the view, "The park looks even better at night."

They walked around before she noticed Tenko stumbling a bit and rubbing his eyes. "Tencchan." he turned looking up at her, "want a ride?"

He went towards her but a hand on her shoulder made them both pause, "Let me." She nodded at Toshinori. They continued talking, a comfortable mood around them. 

"It's been a fun day but I think we should go home. Young Tenko looks exhausted." He said after a while. She glanced at the kid, her eyes lighting up at his peaceful expression, his eyes closed. "Yeah sure."

They started making their way to the exit before Keira turned to him abruptly with a sheepish expression, "Oh I'll just go to the bathroom real quick!"

She entered the bathroom before going out after a bit and washing her hands. Her eyes went to the mirror at her reflection. Man I look so.. A smile was painting her lips and her eyes looked bright. Her cheeks a bit rosy. She grinned a chuckle going out as she brushed through her hair with her hands before stopping at a thought.

"Oh this is a good opportunity.."

"Do an activity that makes you happy and then we'll meet. You have two days." Nighteye's voice rang in her head.

"Haha.." good thing I remembered.. that grumpy guy won't let it go if I forgot.. The dry thought came with an exasperated smile. She glanced around making sure she was alone before raising her hand towards the mirror and taking a deep breath.

Once her hand was an inch away from the mirror, she focused before glitching.

The effect was instantaneous. "Oooh." Her eyebrows raised in surprise. This is easy.. Much easier than normal.. "Guess it's better with positive emotions huh.."

Such a nice quirk.

She froze. It was louder. The voice was louder than ever before. And it was definitely.. a man's voice.

"Ah Nighteye. Sorry, I totally forgot about the phone. My bad.. Yes yes don't worry. Everything was fine." His eyes softened as he looked at the direction where the girl went to before looking at Tenko. ".. No no, no glitching today.. yes.. I'll call you later.. Thank you, Nighteye."

The line clicked. He put the phone in his pocket before looking up. It's been a few minutes..

She couldn't move. Her body was literally paralyzed. What..?

You know, I've always loved quirks. I can't help myself. Whenever I see a nice quirk, I want to take it for myself.

The voice was chilling. It continued talking as if they were friends discussing the weather. Yours is one of a kind. I tried taking it, but it seems it has not formed yet for me to completely grasp.

Move.. move! Her head screamed but it was no use. Her eyes took in everything they could reach but it was like she froze in time, her hand still raised and glitching. She looked back in the mirror and looked at the terror on her face. Where is it coming from? The voice was almost a whisper but she could hear every syllable.

It's only fair after all. You took something that is supposed to be mine and now I'll be taking it back.

Her eyes darted everywhere before it locked on a black spot behind her. The black was moving before she could see a man emerging. The upper part of his face hidden by the blackness but his cold smile apparent. Every part of her body flared as she saw his hand reaching towards her.

"I've let you play the hero role for a while now.."

The nauseating feeling rising everywhere was making her body repel but on the outside she couldn't move. An invisible force holding her.. Her quirk holding her. She could almost feel those last seconds before his hand touched her in slow motion.

"..but I'm sure.."

How could she have been so stupid..? All might! Tenko! Her body flinched slightly but it was too late.

"..you'll prefer the villain one more, Shane Keira."

The explosion was sudden and huge. All Might's eyes widened, his eyes taking the scene and his body immediately moving. In a second, he had placed down five people who were almost crushed from the debris while putting Tenko somewhere safe and running back to the scene. To any outsider, this was all a blur before the number one hero emerged with a fearless smile that hid his dread. 

The bathroom had exploded. The glitching was familiar and the outfit was the same. 

Tendrils came out of everywhere and all of them were glitching and crushing things that he had to race to save. Her hair that was in a pony tail was loose and glitching as she held her head tightly.

"Keira" his eyes widened before he saved another five and placing them away from the scene.

She was grunting and huffing, her fingers and palms pressed on her temples. Her whole body was glitching and writhing in pain. All might was in front of her in a second.

"Keira!" Her eyes snapped open and they were all dark. She reached towards him with a shriek, glitching tendrils going towards him. He pulled his fist. The best way was to knock her out.

"Missouri.." The glitching reached towards him as he released the attack, "..SMASH!"

His eyes widened as he found himself on the other side quickly evading another attack. It didn't hit.. But he was sure.. His eyes landed on her head before widening even more with his smile turning distressed.

He quickly went with another attack but passed through without hitting anything. When he turned this time, he saw it clearly.

She glitched.. through them. He jumped back before appearing in front of her, her vines immediately going around him. They hurt and tightened but he was close enough.

"Keira! Snap out of it!" Through the grunts, he could hear it. He had to try again. This was not her. "Texas.. " Her eyes snapped open and all of the tendrils cut him making him grunt in pain. The strikes weren't even hurtful but he could feel his quirk pausing.

He used a bit of energy to free himself his arms spreading and cutting down all that's holding him. Once he moved, she followed attacking. His mind was going a mile a minute. Each time he goes close, she either glitches through or disrupts his quirk. If he was aiming to hurt, it would have been easy. 

Suddenly she froze her eyes glitching as well. All might followed her line of sight and once he caught it, the voice sounded in his ears. 

"Nee-san." Wide eyes stared at the woman that had grown to be almost his mother these past months. It seemed Keira also heard it, an inhumane wail coming out of her before she reached out to him. 

"T..EN..KOOOOO!" The broken sound was almost indecipherable from the shrieks. The boy stumbled back half a step before All might was flying with him away from the tendrils. 

It was over in the blink of an eye. Once All might sensed the kid was in danger, his body acted on its own and sent a hit that blew her away. "Don't All might!" Tenko's shout was unheard as she hit one of the rides making it fall down. 

The boy stared at what was once his small family. The images overlapped and the scratching started. His eyes could see it. His mother, Keira, His father, Hana-chan, All might, His grandparents.

"Stopstopstopstopstopstop.." 

His mouth let the word out over and over, his hands scratching over and over as All Might and Keira exchanged blows over and over. 

Each time Keira reached for Tenko, All might was forced to attack to keep her away. Tenko's hands were scratching. His stomach flipped, his eyes following Keira.

Hey kid.. You like my PJs?

"Stop.."

Ne Tencchan.. Let's make lots of lovely memories okay?

"..stop.."

From now on, no matter how the past is, we'll make the happiest memories. Pinky Promise~!

"..stop!.."

You became a part of my home that I never knew I needed.

"Why?..Why?..Why?" 

"The poor girl. Her quirk went out of control." the voice reverberated beside Tenko's ears. At the same time, Keira could hear it loud and clear over the uncontrollable spasms of her quirk. In her inner world of glitching tendrils wrapping around her, two sounds were there in her ears.

Tenko and All for One's sentence. Dread filled her even more at the thought of All for One near Tenko and yet she couldn't do anything but listen to the next bone-chilling sentence as more of her quirk wrapped around her. 

"I can make it stop. Do you want me to help?"

Don't! He's lying! "TEN..KOO!!" 

All might saw her face contort into agony, her head going right and left as if she's looking for something before she yelled young Tenko's name in a broken voice. 

"You can.. " Tenko turned around, all the smiles and hugs, all the words and ice creams, all of them flashing through his brain, "..help her?" Tears fell from his eyes as the scratching stopped and his hands went down slowly stopping the scratching. "Please.." 

"In return, will you be my friend?" 

The boy nodded quickly and the man grinned. 

All might was zooming and evading as Keira switched from attacking to looking around to attacking again. Her quirk was getting more and more out of control, the damage going everywhere around. Fortunately, most people were out of the park while heroes had started flooding in. Every hero, though, focused on keeping people away and saving any citizens once they saw the number one hero fighting. 

"Keira!" It was the hundredth time, and yet, calling her had no effect. With a quirk as adaptable as hers, the more this continues, the more people will get hurt. At least Tenko is safe for now.. He pulled his arm back bracing himself, I'm sorry Keira. For now, you'll have to sleep. 

He increased his speed, for the first time in the fight, putting his emotions away and deciding to end this. In this state, it was no use talking. They would have to talk later.. but for now..

"..SMA--" His eyes widened in shock before he pushed off a building and was catching her midair. The glitch was gone as if it was never there, all except for her eyes. Even her eyes were mostly back to normal except for a glitching part in the middle. 

Her gaze fluttered but the look of regret and urgency wasn't an illusion. She opened her mouth, "Te..nko.. All.. Fo..r..one..!" She passed out but the message was clear. His heartbeat accelerated and blood rushed into his ears. 

He felt every beat of his heart, turning towards the place where he hid Tenko. Seeing that man with his hand raised and Tenko holding his other hand, the shout that went out of his mouth was almost inhumane as he zoomed towards them with Keira in his arms only to reach nothing.. again.

"NOOOOOO!"
