16:17, 8 June 2022Izuku dashed down the hallway, and found himself skidding to a stop in front of a staircase, blushing as he looked down at the creature in a suit below him. Bakugo looked up at Izuku, and was mesmerized by his minty green eyes reflecting the light of the chandelier.
Izuku began to walk down the steps unsteadily. He was a commoner, and had no experience with such grand staircases as the one he was walking down.
He reached the bottom step and stumbled a bit, but Bakugo reached his hand out and caught Izuku's hand before he fell. Izuku blushed and turned red.
"I brought you down here so we could dance" Bakugo admitted to Izuku.
"O-oh..." Izuku replied, and Bakugo looked at him embarrassed.
"You don't have to if you Dont want to..."
"N-no!.It would be an honor, actually...." Izuku smiled and bowed his head, bringing his free hand across his chest to his opposite shoulder.
Bakugo looked surprised. Izuku wasn't afraid of him? How was that even possible?
As the music began courtesy of Mina, with Ochaco and the others watching, Bakugo spun Izuku to the middle of the room, and Izuku gasped and stumbled.
"Guess commoners don't exactly dance, huh?" Bakugo said smiling.
Izuku, completely embarrassed, looked away nervously chuckling.
"I can teach you..." Bakugo trailed off as he looked Izuku with his blood red eyes, locking the orbs of green and red, and making direct eye contact.
He pulled Izuku's hand, spinning him into his embrace.
Izuku started to blush again. As Bakugo started to move his own paws across the glass-like floor, Izuku tried to keep up.
Even in Bakugo state, he swayed and danced like a swan in a lake.
Izuku tried to keep up, but kept stumbling and tripping.
"Tch, you look like you have two left feet. Just calm down and Dont worry about perfection so much." Bakugo told Izuku.
Izuku nodded and took a deep breath.
They looked directly into each others eyes, as to almost burn a memory of the colors of each others.
Izuku tried to hold back his smile as much as he could, but couldn't and gave the most beautiful smile Bakugo had ever seen.
The song ended, the objects going out of the room, and Izuku started to yawn, covering his mouth. It was extremely late.
"Go. Get some rest." Bakugo said, and sent Izuku on his way.
-------------------
Izuku fell asleep the instant he touched the soft mattress provided for him in his room, and woke up the next morning early before the sunrise, a natural habit of his.
He almost forgot where he was, then memories of last night played in his head.
No... That monster who kidnapped my mother, then me... I couldn't have possibly ate dinner with him, nor DANCED with him... I Dont want anything to do with him. Izuku thought, starting to panic.
The next few weeks Izuku explored the castle. He and Katsuki met once in a while for dinners and dances, and didn't talk much.
Then one day, Izuku explored the left side of the grand staircase in the Great Hall. He walked almost all the way down, realizing it was mostly rooms to store old memories and such.
Once at the end, he noticed another winding staircase, with a great oak door at the entrance of a room.
"This must be the West Wing... That monster can kill me if he wants to, I'm going in." Izuku said, putting on a brave fave and pushing the heavy door open with all his might.
Inside, he gasped to see dark room with tattered curtains and the furnishings torn apart as well.
He walked to end of the first section of the room, heading to the next. In there, A torn framed photo was lying near the wall.
Izuku picked up the fallen tattered canvas, and held it up to the picture, completing it.
He then noticed the familiar crimson eyes he's stared at before.
It was Bakugo.
That monster... He was... Human? Wait... THATS PRINCE KATSUKI? How could I not have put the pieces together sooner? It all makes sense now...
The legend has it that the prince was a greedy and horrible child, and by the time of his seventeenth birthday, an old woman came to him asking for food and a place to stay, in return a bright rose. When he instantly denied, she reveal herself to be a beautiful fairy and gave him a horrible curse for his actions, and no one saw him again. No one knew the curse, either.
Izuku started to cry, feeling sorry for the way he treated the prince. Then, he saw a glowing light coming from another torn curtain, and that led to the balcony.
Izuku was curious to see what it was, so he wiped his tears and the light almost called to him.
It was a glowing rose, in the bright shade of reddish-pink he had ever seen.
The rose was gleaming brightly, a few of its petals fallen. It was surrounded with a glass encasing, and sat on a table in the middle of the balcony.
Izuku took the top of the glass case, and carefully lifted off. The rose began to gleam brighter.
That was when he noticed rushed scratching and someone was coming towards him.
Izuku was paralyzed in horror.
Katsuki came to him, and grabbed his throat, making his release the glass case and shattering it, a piece piercing through his skin.
Izuku was too mortified to scream in pain.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE, YOU BASTARD!?! I TOLD YOU THE WEST WING IS OFF FUCKING LIMITS! YOU ARE STILL A PRISONER HERE, OBEY!!!" Katsuki yelled, ready to kill Izuku right there.
He threw Izuku to the ground, and the small boy starting choking, gasping for air.
The prince was ready to swing at Izuku until he yelled,
"Wait!"
The prince stop dead in motion.
"P-please... You might as well kill me so I Dont have to see you r-ruin the last thing I have of my mothers. This vest means the world to me, and i-if you're going to ruin it, you might as well k-kill me so I don't have to see you d-destroy the rest of my life...."
The prince backed away from Izuku, ashamed that he tried to hurt the boy that might break his curse.
"I'm not gonna kill you, dammit." Katsuki said, folding his arms.
Izuku shakily stood up, pain searing through his leg as his pant leg had a puddle of blood getting larger on it.
Izuku fell back down again, and Katsuki came closer to him.
"Tch, don't be afraid, nerd. I should tell you the damned story behind the rose. Just let me help you."
Katsuki bent down and took hold of the glass shard that was still in Izuku's leg.
Izuku was now bawling his eyes out, and attempted to back away from Katsuki.
"N-no... Get away from me... There's no point in helping me... I'm a prisoner!" Izuku yelled.
Katsuki ignored the bleeding greenette and yanked the glass shard out as fast as possible.
Izuku screamed in pain, and Katsuki took hold of him in his arms.
"Calm down, the glass shard is out now... Izuku."
Izuku looked surprised to know that Katsuki knew his name, but remained silent.
"Look, the reason that rose is here... Is the amount of goddamn time that bitch gave me before this damned curse is permanent. I have to find true love and that'll break the damned curse. But who the hell would want a BEAST for a love?"
Katsuki looked as if he was about to cry as well.
Izuku didnt reply. He was extremely shocked.
Katsuki put his cloak over Izuku's face and most of his body, and dashed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Izuku was rushed to recovery, and was fine in the next couple days.
The head of the hospital, Chiyo, who was a little medicine cart, told him what Katsuki had done for him.
Prince Katsuki... Helped me? Even when I dis something so terribly wrong? I only remember the story about the rose... Wait the rose... Izuku was lost in thought the last morning when Katsuki burst into the room, the sunlight from the open curtains slightly blinding him.
Katsuki rubbed his eyes a blinked a bit.
"Oi, Deku, can you walk?" He asked, reverting back to the old nickname he had given Izuku.
"Y-yes I can..." Izuku stuttered, nervous to hear what Katsuki would say.
Izuku stood up and Katsuki grabbed his hand, pulling him out into the hallway and running almost at full speed.
"I have something to show you, nerd."
