Chapter Nineteen
08:32, 4 February 2020It's been two days since my first kill with Jeff, and I can definitely say I've changed a lot already. For one, I feel like I'm more alert. But maybe that's just because I feel like I'm gonna get caught any day now for these horrible acts. I also feel more instinctive. Or maybe that's just me beginning to feel numb over this situation. These past few nights, Jeff has continued to take me out, and I've begun to just follow through with what I have to do. I don't think anymore. I've killed about 6 people now, as much as I hate to say it. But with each person, I feel myself becoming more numb. The past three people have been quick, not much thought put into it. This seems to be pleasing Jeff.
I didn't think it could happen, but Jeff and I seem to be getting closer too. I mean, of course, I still hate him. I hate what he has made me become. But we aren't so quiet anymore. He actually seems to talk like a (somewhat) regular human being around me, and I try to talk to him like he isn't the one who kidnapped me. I'm trying to have hope. I hope that if I just accept the things that Jeff is making me do and the person that I'm becoming, that one day maybe Jeff will just let me go back to my family. I can hope, right?
It's 1 AM and I'm standing over a girl's sleeping body. She looks to be maybe 19. Jeff and I already took care of her 3 other roommates. He's in the other room doing his usual ritual with there internal organs and he sent me in here to take care of the last one. I don't think much about her when I reach out my knife and press it against her throat.
Her eyes open instantly, confused only for a second and then alert. I try to quickly slice her neck, as I'm tired of hearing all of the pleas tonight. This girl is strong. REALLY strong. She jumps up quickly and pushes me to the ground, getting on top of me. She easily grabs my knife and holds it to my throat.
"Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my house?!" She yells at me. I hear Jeff run down the hall. This makes the girl turn slightly, and we both look at him leaning in the doorway.
"Need a little help?" Jeff says, an amused smile on his face as he looks down at me.
"Who the hell are you people?!" The girl yells. I take this opportunity while her guard is down to grab my knife back and flip her.
"Jesus you're strong," I say, now the one sitting on her chest. Her eyes grow in fear as she realizes that she can't catch me off guard again. I smile widely at her, right before driving my knife into her chest. She doesn't' make a sound, dying soon after.
I let out a deep breath and get up off of her. I look down at my clothes, especially my socks. Everything is soaking in blood, as well as covered in old crusty blood. I laugh slightly.
"Unless you have a washer I can use, I might need new clothes," I say light-heartedly. I bring my gaze up to his clothes, which are worse than mine with how much 'playing' he does. "Looks like we both need to be cleaned up." I joke, but that's when I look at his face.
He is looking at me with narrow eyes. The most serious look is on his face, which surprised me, considering he is never serious on outings like this. I give him a confused look.
"You're ready." Is all he says to me. I start to look more confused.
"Huh?" I mumble
"You're ready to go back. You seem snapped. I think Slender will let us in." Jeff says, eyes now looking excited. I feel my face turn serious.
"Oh," I say slowly. "Us? Why do I have to go with?" I ask. Jeff looks confused now. "I mean, u did your job didn't you? And if you show them that, then why do I have to go with? Why can't I just go home, Jeff??" I start to yell at him. I see his face turn more serious.
"Look, I know what I said. But to be completely honest, I don't know if you can ever go home. Misty if you have really changed, you can't go back. Not only for your sanity but also your family's safety." Jeff says. I feel my eyes tear up, which is the first time in a few days. Jeff walks forward, now standing right in front of me. He lifts up my face to look at him. His eyes narrow. "You can't go back. Not for a while." Jeff says. He sees more tears run down my cheeks and he sighs. "Okay here. We talk to Slendy. I'm in charge of you for creating you, is the easy way to put it. After everything checks out, ill let you visit your parents. Okay?" Jeff says slowly. I feel a half-smile grow on my face. I hate this but it's better than nothing.
"Okay deal," I say, still a little hurt that I can't fully go back. I then realize something. "don't the cops usually come by now?" I ask. Jeff shrugs.
"Usually, I guess tonight maybe we weren't so loud as usual," Jeff says casually. Then he looks me up and down. "Maybe you're right about new clothes. When we get back to the dimension we can sort things out and get new stuff, but for now, since the cops weren't called tonight, there is a shower we can use. We can also borrow some of their clothes." Jeff says, pointing down to the girl on the ground. I frown a little. "Okay look through her drawers and try and see if anything will fit you. I'll go look in the guy's room, this blood has soaked through my hoodie and I need a new shirt." Jeff says, turning away. I nod.
I turn and start going through the drawers I find a white Beatles T-shirt and some black pants. In the closet, I just grab some random hoodie. Its a tie-dye red and black and the front has some metal band name on it I can't make out. Good enough.
I go to walk down the hall. I remember seeing a bathroom down there. When I find it, I set my clothes down on the counter and then turn the light on. That's when I'm met with Jeff. My face goes entirely red when I see him. He is on the far side of the bathroom, already stripped down into his boxers. He is just barely got his hoodie off as well, revealing his bare chest. His hair falls down across his shoulds as he pulls the hoodie all the way off.
"Ahhhhhhh SORRY!" I say as I run back around the corner so I can't see him. Right before I'm around it, I see him look at me in confusion. "I didn't know you were using this bathroom! Who in the hell gets undressed in the dark?!" I yell at him from the other side of the wall. I hear him laugh, and then it sounds like its getting closer. I cover my face.
He walks around the corner and stands in front of me. He removes my hands covering my face, his gaze looking amused.
"You're so red," Jeff says laughing. I see him take a quick glance down at himself. "I mean I could show you more in you like," Jeff says sarcastically, but I'm guessing a part of him is serious. I follow his gaze to his only article of clothing, his boxers, and quickly look back up. I feel my face flush more. His boxers shouldn't probably aren't supposed to be that tight. He laughs more at my realization. "There is another bathroom down by the other guy's room," Jeff says, clearly amused. I nod quickly and grab my clothes back from this bathroom. "I mean unless you just wanna share this one?" Jeff says, winking and then laughing harder as he looks at my face again.
"I'm definitely okay," I say as I walk past him.
"If you say so," I hear him say, chuckling to himself. And then he says something that I don't think i was supposed to hear. "Could have been fun.."

I finish showering and put on a large shirt that I found in the guy's dresser. I brush out my hair and stare at myself in the mirror. This is the cleanest I've felt in days. Honestly, the most normal I've felt. I bask in this feeling for a few more minutes before I walk out and I'm met with the guy's body. I stare down at it, really soaking this in. How my life is gonna be for a while. I sigh and turn away towards the kitchen.
I see Jeff standing in front of a plate with a peanut and jelly sandwich on it. I only revel in how good it looks for a few seconds before I notice that Jeff is still shirtless and just has on these dark grey sweat pants. I feel my face get hot again. Jeff turns and looks at me, then follows my gaze. He smiles and shrugs.
"Better get used to it Honey, this is how I sleep." Jeff pauses. "Well, when people are around." He says and laughs at himself. I slightly laugh with him and then turn my attention back to the sandwich. He nods. "For you. I figured you would be hungry." He says. I smile and take the plate.
"Thanks." I start to eat.
I finish my sandwich in silence. I hear Jeff walking around the house. It's just as I finish that he comes in smiling.
"We got a problem Mist," Jeff says, a smile on his face. I'm more focused on the new nickname he has for me. Mist? "Well, not a problem for me. More to you." He laughs. "See... The two guys? Yeah, we killed them in their beds. So their bed is soaked." Jeff starts to say. I know where he is going with this. "So the girl's bed is the only sleepable one. And unless you want to sleep on a beanbag..." Jeff says, referencing the lack of furniture in their living room. "Then it looks like we are sharing a bed." He finishes. I sigh.
We walk into the girl's room and jeff drags her into another room. I look for pajama pants in the girl's drawers, but it seems at though the only ones she had, were the ones she was wearing. I sigh and jeff realizes what I'm doing as he comes back into the room. He laughs.
"Don't worry. I'll keep my hands to myself." He says, lifting up his hands in the air, palms facing me. "Scouts honor..." He pauses. "That is unless you can't keep your to yourself." He winks at me, making me blush again. He laughs harder.
He crawls into the bed and gets under the covers. I follow awkwardly after him and lay down. I keep my back towards him. A few minutes pass.
"Hey, Jeff?"
"...Ya..?"
"Thank you."
"...For what?"
"Making my food," I say quietly. I hear him laugh next to me. It shakes the bed.
"It's just food." He says. I laugh this time. A few more minutes pass.
"Goodnight Jeff." I hear him laugh again next to me.
"Go to sleep Mist."
