Hyungwon watched her from afar, sipping on the alcohol bit by bit, until it was finished. She was laughing so hard, her face turned flustered, her pearly whites was showing and her eyes twinkled. She was glowing with happiness. Well, she was the center of attention and everyone wants to get closer to her. Hyungwon felt annoyed at all the male models crowding around her at the bonfire. All the models was having free time and they spend the time with a bonfire party. Soft music was being played, carrying a melody throughout all the laughters and chatter.

"Your highness" Hyungwon was snapped out of his trance, as he heard someone greeting him in Korean, he looked over to see one of the female models who is also a vampire, she was holding two bottles of water.

"I'm Taehee. I'm kind of a fan of you and your friends" Hyungwon gave her a small smile, this lady is really pretty. She has that spunky and confident look to her, with her leather jacket and biker boots.

"I wanted to introduce myself earlier to you, but as we know, you're important and well-known around here"

"I feel honoured to be looked up to you, honestly"

"Why is that, your highness?"

"You're really pretty"

"Why, thank you" Taehee smiled, showing her dimples.

"For you" She stuck out her hand to give the bottle of water.

"Thank you" Hyungwon took it from her.

"And please, call me Hyungwon" Taehee chuckled.

"Can I call you oppa instead?" Taehee asked, jokingly. Before Hyungwon could reply, she cut him off.

"I'm joking! It's way too early" They both laughed out at that.

"How are you enjoying the party?" She asked.

"It's very warm. But a little lonely" Taehee nodded, agreeing with him.

"Then, why are you hiding in the trees?" She asked.

"I wanted to be alone" He replied, smiling a little and she chuckled at that.

"Since we're here, wanna join the party?" He asked, offering his arm to her.

"Let's go" She accepted his offer and they both walked towards the party.

Valarie snapped her eyes towards two figures walking towards the speakers, where the others was dancing. She felt a pang in her heart, as they both danced. She felt as if her heart was being squeezed as she saw him smile. They were both laughing at something she said. Her heart started to beat faster, as their eyes met when his direction was facing towards her. Hyungwon felt his heart tweak seeing Valarie's eyes that was laced with jealousy. He mentally smirked, not moving away his gaze, as Taehee reaches up and gave him a peck on the lips. Valarie look away and excuse herself.

"Woah!" Rae was taken aback when Valarie ambushed her with a hug.

"Are you okay?" Rae asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just wanted a hug" Valarie replied, trying to make sure her voice wasn't shaky, as her eyes already teared up. Rae gave in to the hug.

"How's the party?" Rae asked.

"It's fun. I wish you could join. I would've asked for one dance with you" Rae laughed at that, and Valarie chuckled as well, instantly feeling better.

"It would be pointless, because I would reject you. I rather take thechances to dance with some other model"

"You're mean" Valarie moaned out, still not letting go of Rae in the hug.

"You sure you're okay?"

"How can I not be? I got you here with me" Valarie smiled.

"You sweet talking b**ch" Rae muttered, making Valarie laugh.

"Detective, is there anymore leads?" She asked, biting her lip, as she was leaning on the balcony.

"I'm sorry Ms. De'Casper"

"It's a dead end" Valarie's tears slowly slid down.

"I understand. But, if there's anything new-"

"I'll update you straight away"

"Thank you" Valarie said, before she hung up.

"F**king hell" She mumbled, wiping her tears.

Her life is so messed up, she appreciates Rae who is always there for her. First, her sister left home and ran off with her boyfriend, Clarke, who was actually toxic and bad for her. He was a bad influence, telling her to smoke, drink, do drugs and sleep around. Her sister, Victoria was too innocent to know that it was wrong, she spend too much time with Clarke and her studies were adrift, she started to look so sick, and all she wanted to do was be with Clarke. Her father got so mad and scolded her so badly, that even their mother was so scared to stop him. Valarie remembered that Victoria ran away, carrying a bag, with tears staining her cheeks.

What really hurt her and her parents was that they pleaded her to come home, calling her cell so many times. When a month later, there was news of her, she was found dead and naked, reports said that she was raped by a lot of men, then murdered. The police hunted for Clarke, but they couldn't find him, or track him down. Her mother went into depression, her father was the one that really pulled them together, he was strong for them, even though he was really hurt and sad deep down. Valarie remembered the countless times she tried to make her mother smile, but even then, her mother would sometimes call her by her sister's name, crying and hugging her. Until she couldn't take it anymore and killed herself, overdosing herself with pills.

After that, they moved and her father kept himself busy. Valarie barely see him home. Maybe once a month, or less, this continued for years. Her father somehow hated coming home. Not wanting to remember the pain. But Valarie stayed strong, wanting to let go and move on. Soon, her father started paying more attention to her as time passed by. They were closer than ever, and slowly, her father started to move on from the past. The both of them had each other backs.

Her father made them richer than ever, and makes sure that Valarie gets whatever she wants. She admits, she was happy and proud of her father. They were happy. But then, her father was let go and faced bankruptcy, even though he worked so hard. Then, he was murdered and robbed as well. Valarie felt her whole world became empty and meaningless, she didn't want to live anymore. But Rae changed everything, Rae put her back on her feet, and now she feels stronger than ever. Valarie snapped out of her trance and went for a walk in the night.

"Hmm?" Valarie turned to face behind her, hearing something.

"Excuse me. Is anyone there?" Valarie asked, feeling scared.

"It's just me" Hyungwon step out where the light was shining, Valarie flinched seeing him come out so suddenly.

"Gosh! You scared me!" Valarie exclaimed, putting a hand on her chest, trying to calm herself.

"Why are you so jumpy?" He asked, walking slowly.

"It's kinda creepy, don't you think? We're surrounded by a forest, anything could happen" Valarie stated. She inspected him for a moment.

"Where were you from?" She asked him. She noticed that his room was the other direction, he didn't come from his room.

"I think that's none of your business" He replied, as he got closer and went to walk past her, she saw marks on his neck. She cleared her throat at that.

"Had fun?" She asked. She didn't know why she had to even ask that. It was none of her business! It's not like she was in a relationship with Hyungwon, or anything like that. Hyungwon stop in his tracks, before turning to face her.

"I'm an adult, I'm sure I have the right to do whatever I want" Valarie felt like she got smacked. She just hates whenever Hyungwon acts like he's more superior than her! Even though he is, but still, he is always looking down on her.

"That's true. I won't deny that. It's just small talk" She went to walk away, brushing against his shoulder as she walk past.

"And what about you? Why have you been crying?" She started to panic, feeling her heart racing.

"I haven't been crying. I don't understand what you're talking about" He scoff at that, stepping closer towards her. She cowered back when he reach up and run his thumb on her jaw. He put up his thumb and she mentally cursed, seeing his thumb was wet. She thought she had gotten rid of the evidence that she was crying, but she must've missed a spot.

"I... uh... I was just..." She was at loss for words. Her eyes instantly felt hot as she remembered why she was crying earlier. Hyungwon saw the tears pooling in her eyelids and were threatening to pour out. Hyungwon remembered the last time he ever saw her crying was at her father's funeral.

"Valarie..." Hyungwon started, looking down at her.

"Uh... Goodnight. And have a good rest" Valarie cut him off and instantly walk away, blinking away the tears.

"Goodnight" Hyungwon mumbled under his breath, before they both went their own ways.

"Hey. Good morning" Someone greeted her. Valarie look up from her food.

"Hey, David, right?" Valarie greeted back, remembering him from the night before.

"Yeah! I'm glad you remembered" He said, with a relieved tone.

"Do you mind if I join you?" He asked.

"Not at all. Come" Valarie invited. He said a small thanks, before sitting opposite of her.

"You know, after meeting you yesterday, my perception of you really changed"

"Wow! Your perception of me?" She questioned.

"I was thinking you would be such a snob, but you are really easygoing and fun to be around with" Valarie chuckled at that.

"I don't blame you. I do have that snobbish look and most top models I've met, really are snobbish"

"So, what is your perception of me?" David asked, resting his chin on his palm.

"Well, I just thought and feel like you're really familiar, I just can't put my finger on it" She said, truthfully.

"Hmm. I can assure you we have never met before. But maybe in our past lives, we were lovers" David flirted. She instantly blurt out laughing, David gave her a charming smile and she can't help but think that he really is good looking. But yet again, all these pretty faces doesn't appeal to her so much. Unlike that one person who easily mesmerised her, without even trying.

It has only been a week and four days since they were at the mountain, shooting pictures. Valarie admits, she thought that this job would be super packed and hard, but she felt like she was on vacation instead. Since they have a month to shoot pictures, even the staffs and crew members were relaxed and didn't rush their work. As the days passed, she and David got closer, while she can see that Mr. Chae Hyungwon is getting closer to Taehee. It's clear to say that the both of them looks like they're dating now. Valarie decided that she would spend time with Rae that day and check out the sauna with her.

"So, you have another photoshoot tomorrow and you will collaborate with the main sponsor for this shoot" Rae stated, before she switched off her phone and entered the sauna with Valarie.

"The main sponsor? Mr. Chae?" Valarie asked.

"Yes. Your ex" Rae stated, since there isn't anyone else, she felt that it's okay to just point it out.

"Great" Valarie muttered, she lean back against the wooden walls and close her eyes, letting her muscles relax.

"What is the concept?" Valarie asked. If it's got anything to do with romance, she's done for. Rae glanced at her that has her eyes closed.

"It's got to do with love for the environment, so... it is a romantic concept" Valarie instantly groaned out loud.

"Fate is really f**king with me right now" Valarie cussed under her breath.

"That's not all..." Rae started.

"It might require you to be half naked. Just the top part"

"What?!" Valarie asked, her eyes bulging out.
