"Wow. You people are loaded" Rae stated, as she look around the ballroom. Valarie nodded, looking at Hyungwon's event. It was his mother's birthday and well, Valarie and her father got invited. After not knowing who to invite, she dragged Raeven with her.

"His family is way more loaded than my family ever was" Valarie stated, in a hush whisper.

"Oh, is that why you're clinging on to him? You witch!" Rae smirked, mischievously.

"Look, if I don't have a financial problem, I wouldn't even look his way" Lying straight through her teeth!

"Oh, please. Look at him, he's like a freaking prince! Sure you don't have any feelings?" Well, Hyungwon is considered a prince in the vampire community, but obviously Rae doesn't know that.

"He's impossible for me to get"

"Yeah, but you're sleeping with the guy..." Rae mumbled the last part, but clearly Valarie could hear her.

"I just wish you all the best to get him. Want me to help? Want me to push through all those girls around him? I can do that"

"Rae. Don't do something crazy. These rich people judge"

"Yeah, well, let them! I don't care what they think about me. Here. Let me just take off my heels"

"Rae! Rae! Don't!" She hissed, grabbing onto her friend's arm, but it was too late.

"Hello, Hyungwon! Do you remember me?" Rae asked, pushing through all those girls, practically latching onto him.

"Uh..." Hyungwon look at all of them uncomfortably.

"Of course, you do. I have something to tell you, come on" Rae grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the crowd.

"You know what? That painting where I used you and Val as my model got the first place in the competition" Rae started. Hyungwon then look at Valarie, not paying attention to what Rae said.

"Okay, totally not listening to me" Rae then slipped away, before she grabbed Valarie's arm and pulled her closer to Hyungwon.

"Jackpot!" Rae said, as she arrived at the dessert's table.

"Ms. De'Casper. You look nice tonight" Hyungwon stated. Of course, this formal look on Valarie is a normal thing he would usually see.

"You don't look so bad yourself" Valarie stated.

"I don't understand why your friend eagerly dragged me out from those girls. I was enjoying myself"

"I guess she just wanted to tell you the good news. She won first place because of the painting"

"Hmm, well, I guess our looks came to good use then" They both look at each other, clearly feeling awkward.

"If you don't have anything else to say, excuse me..." He went to turn, she was left silent, looking at his retreating back, that handsome back. She then went to look around for her friend, feeling embarrassed.

"I see you like desserts" Rae jumped, hearing a deep voice. She accidentally threw the chocolate truffle from her hand, she glanced around, not knowing where the truffle went.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you"

"You didn't. I just... ack!" She slipped on something soft as she turned and she felt like she flew and was about to land on her back, when someone caught her.

"Woah! Slow down!" She look up at the person above her, as her legs was thrown up and her heel flew off. She was in a daze, looking at the man before her, she was too slow to avoid her heel flying straight for her head. Jooheon's mouth fell open, seeing the passed out lady in his arms.

"What happened?" Valarie went to Jooheon's side.

"The shoe hit her... she passed out"

"Oh my god, Rae" Valarie went to grab her shoe, while Jooheon lifted her up properly.

"To the guest room. I'll tell the servants to bring some ice" Jooheon stated, as he walk out of the ballroom, with Valarie following behind.

"Luckily, your friend here didn't cause a scene" Jooheon stated, looking at Valarie that was pressing the ice on the bump on Rae's forehead.

"Yeah... they didn't even realize she fainted"

"Ow..." Rae moaned, as her face scrunched up painfully.

"Rae!" Valarie went to grab a drink for her.

"What happened?" She asked, looking at Valarie, completely oblivious to Jooheon's presence.

"I swear to god, it was his fault" Rae mumbled, as she grab the cup from Valarie and gulped down the water.

"Pfft!!" Rae spurt out the water, as soon as her eyes landed on him and Jooheon was left with his jaw falling open, as he was rained with water.

"It's all your fault!" Rae choked on the water, Valarie instantly went to grab tissues for them.

"Excuse me?" Jooheon asked, offended. He just saved her from falling, and this is the thanks he got?

"You made me trip!" She stated.

"Excuse me?!" He asked, sounding more offended than he did before, blinking rapidly.

"I saved you from falling! You're welcome!" Jooheon got up, wiping his face.

"What exactly happened?" Rae asked, seeing Jooheon leaving the room.

"I think you hit your head with the heels. I'm not exactly sure. I wasn't there"

"I swear. His face is a work of art" Rae slowly got up and glanced at the closed door, her mind wandering to the face of the man who just left.

"Wait. Where are we?"

"We're still at Mr. Chae's place. We're in the guest room"

"Do you probably think I could use his face for my artwork?"

"Rae. This is no time to talk about your art. Let's leave. I just don't want to bump into Mr. Chae"

"I don't get why you're so afraid of him. He's so damn skinny and he looks flaky too, what's the worse he can do?"

"Come on!" Valarie clicked her tongue and tugged on Rae's arm.

"Goddamnit! Slow down. I'm still lightheaded! This is why I don't wear heels! They're uncomfortable! And they're unstable as f**k!" Rae cursed, making Valarie to pull an annoyed face. As soon as she opened the door, she was met with Hyungwon's slave.

"Hera!" Valarie look at the slave shocked.

"Master Hyungwon told me to serve the both of you some tea. And I brought more ice for your friend's head" Hera slipped past her and went to place the tray on the coffee table.

"Oh, how kind. But we're just leaving" Valarie stated.

"Without seeing the owner of the house?" They heard a voice said, all of their eyes snapped to look at where the voice came from, at the doorway.

"How rude" He added.

"Master" Hera greeted, before slipping past him and leaving the room, not before glancing one last time at Valarie, which she was oblivious to.

"We don't want to trouble you" Valarie stated, grabbing Rae's arm and wanting to slip past.

"Please, let's have a chat. I was so caught up with all the other guests, I didn't have time to catch up with you" Hyungwon said, blocking their way. Valarie and Rae look at each other.

"I really want some tea" Rae said, Valarie mentally sighed and look at Hyungwon to see his brows raised and his chin held high.

"Fine. I guess we'll stay for tea"
