CHAPTER 14

“So Aline, tell us…do you have a girlfriend or are you still single?” Alec asked with a smirk.

Magnus elbowed Alec “Why did you ask that?” and Alec made a face without answering. Aline was turning red.

“I…uh…I’m single…” she finally said nervously staring at the ground. 

“So do you have a crush on anyone?” Alec quickly asked while checking Helen expression and Aline turned more red.

“Alexander! What’s wrong with you?” Magnus asked pinching Alec’s arm. Alec just smiled and winked.

Helen noticed that Aline was nervous and broke the silence “dear brother-in- law, only one question per spin” she said handing the bottle over to Aline.

Alec leaned towards Magnus and whispered “See Helen to the rescue…”

Magnus looked at Alec with confusion “Alexander are you drunk?”

“NO I’m not…I’m just trying to help Helen” he laughed in a low tone.

“Okayyy now it’s Magnus’s turn…truth or dare?” Camille asked.

“I’ll say…truth” Magnus replied.

“Who wants to ask the question?” Camille asked.

“Can I?” Alec asked.

“No…no you can’t…you asked one from Aline” Izzy said and Alec sighed in disappointment.

“Let me ask you a question then…” Raphael said “What was your first impression of Alec, like what did you think about him?”

Magnus was surprised at the question, he looked at Alec in a very loving way and smiled. 

“My first impression…I first saw him at your wedding and that day was like the best day of my life…When I saw him I fell for him right at the first glance…he was tall, handsome…” he paused and looked at Alec “and when we shook hands, I knew I was in love with him…he unlocked something inside me…” Magnus said smiling and bent over to kiss Alec on the cheek and they stared at each other for a long while. Their eyes said it all, how much they were in love.

“Okayyy Magnus spin” Camille said interrupting the couple.

And the game continued for a long time till dinner arrived.*************When everyone left Alec and Magnus cleaned everything up. 

“Baby you get a shower, I’ll submit this report and come to bed” Magnus said and took out his laptop.

Alec nodded and went to take a shower. After having the shower Alec sat on their bed and started to work on one of his assignments till Magnus came.

After a while Magnus took a shower and was ready to sleep.

“Uh…I’m so tired” he said and crawled onto Alec from under his arm. Then he took Alec’s laptop and kept it on the side table and rested his head on Alec’s chest. Alec smiled and caressed Magnus’s hair.

“You gonna sleep like this?” Alec asked.

“Can I?” Magnus asked lifting his head to look at Alec’s expression.

“You can…if you feel comfortable…” Alec said smiling and bending over to lay a kiss on Magnus’s forehead.

Magnus smiled and snuggled in to make himself more comfortable.

“Mags…about what you said today…did you seriously fall in love with me the first day you saw me?” 

Magnus still with his head resting on Alec’s chest smiled and kissed him on the chest. “I did”

“Really?” Alec was surprised.

“Why? Didn’t you believe me when I said that during the game?” 

“No it’s not that I didn’t…I’m just surprised” Alec said playing with Magnus’s hair.

“Surprised that I fell in love with you?” 

“No silly…surprised that it was love at first sight…I never thought…that you liked me that day because we were talking and then you suddenly

 went to dance with Camille…”

“You felt jealous?” Magnus asked with a smirk.

“No I didn’t…” Alec replied rolling his eyes. But I did feel jealous, he thought.

“I came looking for you…but then you were not there…I didn’t know if I would ever see you again…I was planning to get your number from Raph…but then I found you at work and the rest is history” Magnus said kissing Alec’s palm

“Let’s call this fate” Alec said bending over kiss Magnus on this lips. Magnus put his hands around Alec’s neck and pulled him closer and Alec melted away into the kiss.
