Alec took a deep breath and opened the door to the meeting room. Alec felt nervous on his first day as the team leader. One week ago Aldertree was given the chance to work at the company's Indonesian branch. So he had to move to Indonesia with his family. Meliorn who had almost 5 years of experience in the company filled in the vacant position of the department head. And Asmodeus was so eager to give Alec a chance to improve himself and gather more experience so, with his suggestion Alec was promoted to become the team leader of the designer's team.

I can do this...it's just what I've always done. You can do this Alec, don't be nervous...just do it as Magnus taught you. Alec thought as he walked into the room.

It's been 2 months and12 days since Magnus left on the business trip. His trip had to be extended by a few more weeks as he had to go on more site visits than he had planned before.

*Flashback*

The previous day, Alec stayed up all night and talked to Magnus on how he should do his first presentation as a team leader.

After 4 hours of talking about work, Alec was dozing off.

"Alexander, are you still there?" Magnus asked from the other side of the video call. Alec lifted his head to look at his phone "baby you should get some sleep" Magnus said.

"No...I don't feel like I'm ready...I will go through this once again" Alec said.

"Baby, you will do well, don't worry okay? I believe in you" Magnus said smiling.

Alec sighed "I wish you were here with me..."

"Baby I'll always be there with you...you got this Alexander" Magnus said trying to cheer him up.

"I miss you Mags, so much" Alec said touching the screen.

"I miss you too baby, I'll be back in 1 or 2 weeks okay?" Magnus said.

"Okay...I want a virtual hug" Alec said opening his arms.

Magnus smiled and opened his arms and both gestured hugging each other.

"And a virtual kiss" Magnus said getting closer to the screen.

And both of them sent virtual kisses to each other like how they used to for the past 2 months.

"Break a leg Alexander!! YOU GOT THIS!!!" Magnus said in a high pitched voice making Alec laugh.

"Thank you baby!!" Alec said smiling.

"Now get some sleep...I'll talk to you tomorrow" Magnus said.

Alec nodded and they disconnected the call and Alec went to sleep.

*End of flashback*

As he walked into the room and stood in front of all his team mates, Meliorn announced "Welcome your new team leader, Alexander Lightwood"

Alec smiled and took a deep breath. "Hello everyone, as most of you know I'm Alexander Lightwood, you can call me Alec...I hope we will make a great team" he introduced himself and then continued with his presentation.

"You did a great job Alec" Meliorn said patting his shoulder.

"Thank you Meliorn, learned from the best" Alec said smiling.

"By the way, when is Magnus coming back?" Meliorn asked as they walked into the cafeteria.

"Probably in a week or 2" Alec said smiling "I should probably get going now..." Alec said grabbing his sandwich.

"Lectures?" Meliorn asked.

"Yeah...last semester and then I'll be a full time employee" Alec sighed and ran off to his car.

Alec finished his lectures and was walking to his car when he heard his name being called, he turned around to see Camille running towards him.

"Hey Camille, what's up?" Alec asked.

"Hey Alec, I got a call from Magnus asking if you were okay" Camille said.

"Oh shit, I forgot, my phone died and I haven't brought the charger...I'll go home and call him...thank you Camille" Alec said smiling.

"Sure no problem..." Camille said and waved him good bye.

As soon as Alec got home he plugged in his phone and went to the kitchen to fix his dinner.

He sat on the table and took out his laptop to call Magnus.
