Chapter 18 - The Mystic Gardens

Dipper's POV

It's all according to plan. The date is going great. No nervousness, everything is fine.

Mabel's second plan is fantastic. This plan is a new one. Not the first one. I didn't have to do much on her first plan because Robbie did it himself. She said these tactics earlier and I admit, it's going awesome.

Flashback

"Hey Mabel! Look at this!" I said after I read in the journal about a phenominal secret place lying here in Gravity Falls.

"Whoa! This place is amazing! This is a perfect place to set your date!" She replied.

"I know!" I screamed because this place is perfect to go with our date. Because everything has to be perfect.

"Well, let's go to that place right now!"

We practically run to that place because we are in a hurry. It's only an hour left before our date. When me and Mabel are just meters away from the gardens, we can already see the spectacular view.

"This place is so beautiful." She moaned in amusement.

"Let's set up your little picnic."

She told me to be confident. Check! Be myself. Check! The only thing missing is a romantic gesture to top off our first date.

Wendy may not like fancy dates but I do. It's romantic.

We finished our foods from the diner. We had a great time but I'm not finished yet.

"The date has been fun!" Wendy said and I agree. I really boosted my confidence up! Be more mature, I say to myself and it's working. I just really need to hide my nervousness.

"And it's not done yet." I said which made her confused.

"Hmm?"

"Come on." I said as I walked through the front door and hand signed Wendy to go out.

"Where?" She asked.

"It's a secret." I chuckled.

"Cheeky."

We walked about five minutes from the place I planned to held my suprise. She always ask me where are we going and I just shut her up. I can tell that she's really excited.

And we are only footsteps away from our destination. I covered her eyes with my hands and therefore no peeking.

Then I led her the way, still covering her vision. I can see the spectacular view. It's amazing.

"Alrighty." I said as I slowly took of my hands from her eyes. I looked at her and I saw a very shocked Wendy and a mixture of amusement and a suprised look.

I led her to an unknown but a beautiful and peaceful place and it's the mystic gardens. I always knew leading her here is a good way to make a move. I just knew she'll love it as I saw it first, at the journal. Once I saw the mystic gardens on the journal, I quickly showed it to Mabel, which she also approved. And it was a perfect setting for a perfect date.

It can't be found from the Gravity Falls map. As I said, it's an unknown place but thanks to the journal, I know most of the secrets lying here in Gravity Falls.

"Dipper it's wonderful!" She said, looking amused at it's extraordinary view.

There are beautiful trees and the place has the right amount of shade and light. The grass is clean and the most awesome part is there's a waterfall. The water of the lake is clear and beyond what I expect on this place.

I set up a picnic for us earlier and I guess she noticed it as well. She is very amused from it's wonderful sight.

We sat down at the picnic blanket as I touched the crystal from my vest again. It's still there.

Mabel's second plan is going great. The love expert has done it once again.
