Chapter 10 Before The Match

Kuroko Tetsumi's POV

"Im back~" I opened the door and went inside the apartment, I went to the living room and saw Taichi's soul flew everywhere... wait, thats not right!

"T-Taichi! You become some kind of a ghost in Mario!!!" I hurriedly went to Taichi and poked his lifeless body using my foot.

"Dont mind him Tetsumi-chan." I saw Tetsuchi next to me holding a glass of water.

"Tetsuchi! What happened to him!" I said worriedly still poking him.

"We finally finished the homeworks. I pushed him to his limits thats all." He said drinking his water.

"Tetsuchi, go take a rest! I'll take care of this Baka." I said and looked at his tredface then I dragged Tetsuchi to the guestroom.

"Goodnight Tetsuchi!" I closed the door and went to the living room.

"Eh? but its still 11, we have to prepare for lunch." He said but I told him that I will just call him once the food is set. He just nodded and closed the door.

Taichi is still laying on the floor still unconscious... really, what did Tetsuchi do to him?

"Oi Taichi! Get up! You might catch a cold!" I said, kicking his sides lightly and sat beside him and looked at the papers.

Well, this should be fine, im sure he will pass.

"H-huh?? What happened?!" Taichi sat up and I sweat dropped, "goodmorning Taichi!" I sarcastically greeted.

"H-huh? What time is it?" He yawned while rubbing his eye.

"Oh yeah, Taichi on Thursday, We have a match with Josei..." I informed him, he stretched and sat beside me and getting something under the table and I saw...

"What the heck is that?!?!?!?!" I shouted, he looked at me confused and put the another pile of papers on top of the table...

"Huh? its a pile of papers?" He innocently said.

"Baka! I know its a pile of papers! But what are you gonna do with that?!" I facepalmed.

"Im gonna answer them?" He said, I sighed and stood, I opened the curtain to let the light of the sun to go inside the apartment. I sat next to Taichi again and tied my hair into a bun.

"Alright Taichi, lets get this finished quickly and pass this fricking homeworks of yours and be able to play at the match!" I shouted determined!

After 2 hours right before we start cooking for lunch, We finally finished answering this hellsing loads of homeworks. I was stretching when my phone vibrated on the table to looked at it to see its a message.

From: Makichi

Subject: Please.

Can I... come over to your place...? Please... I need to talk to you...

Judging from the message I received, you know already that shes troubled. I replied to her not thinking a second thought and fixed myself before I told Taichi that I will be out in a moment.

"Taichi, I will be out for abit but go eat lunch without me. I will be back soon and tell that to Tetsuchi thanks!" I said and hurried my way to the door and left without Taichi reacted.

'Wha-what just happened?' Taichi thought. he just shook his head and focused on his homeworks,letting the whole living room quiet.

I ran as fast as I can to the park where I texted to Maki.

I finally reached the destination and sat on the bench near the pond. I catched my breathe from running and looked around to find a girl who wants to come over and talk to me so badly.

'I wonder whats her problem...' I thought,  staring at the pond. I saw people walking in both directions on the other side of the big bond, theres not much people here at my side where I was sitting right now under the big tree. I took out my phone from my pocket and looked at the message I already sent to Maki.

Sure, once you went out of the station go left and you'll see the park, four blocks from the station... meet me there.

Thats what the message I sent to Maki.

I sighed and closed my phone. I closed my eyes... I observed my surroundings... the sound of the falling leaves... the breeze of the wind touching my soft pale skin and the sound of the water splashing infront of me.

I hear alot of people in the distance, talking on the other side. Letting my shoulder relax abit and put my mind at ease.

I opened my eyes and looked on my left side.  I saw a girl walking towards me, her dead black hair sways and it gives me a chill just by looking at her because she resembles him. You will really think of her as a black butterfly, flying around and you might get the feeling that someone died or something.

"Tetsucha!" She greeted, I smiled, and I spread my arms and ready for the impact of her hug. It may be hurt, but I'll just bear the pain.

"Makichi! " I said, Maki ran towards me and hugged me tightly... ouch! Thats what you call the impact I was talking about. 

"Makichi, whats wrong?" I asked, concerned about her, I somehow felt numb on my waist because of her hug, 'bare the pain' I said to myself.

She sobbed on my shoulder and I let her cry and let out her pain, oh Makichi... let it out... let my shoulder be your 'Crying Shoulder'.

"It's alright Makichi... Makochi didnt mean those words..." I said, Maki separated from me and looked at me, "Mo! hidoi Tetsucha!" She said, and started crying loudly.

"Sorry! I just wanna know what happened!" I said.

Maki looked on the ground letting her tears pour down on her cheeks, "Mako and I fought." She said, " I told him that you visited in our home and I was late to tell him that you visited him. He then lashes me out of nowhere." She sobbed.

"He desperately want to see me... didnt he?" I asked while stroking her back, she then nodded.

"Well... it cant be helped I guess, he hates me for what I have done. I left them suddenly, especially him." I muttered,  she looked at me with confusion and I just smiled at her.

"Because I'm stupid!" I said while making faces.

Maki giggled lightly then turned serious, "What do you mean especially him?" She asked.

I was quiet, thinking if I should tell her what happened between the two of us. I know she is aware back then, but...

I still remember that day, Hes always annoyed whenever I follow him and forces him to attend the trainings, He may say mean words at me... but I dont care, he is my... no our teammate and I am worried about.

~ years ago~

Shoei Junior High...

"Jeez! just wait a minute!" I said while pouting. Me and Makochi are walking towards the gym, I finally convinced him to attend the practice match. I followed Makochi wherever he goes or doesnt want to come because hes been skipping alot lately, and today we have a  match against the other school so the coach assigned me to watch over him whenever he skips practice.

"Oi Makochi! The gym is this way!" I said, He just ignored me looking pissed and went to the other direction.

"Oi, where are you going! the gym is right here!"Okay this is troublesome.

"Dont follow me, you little brat..." He said... b-brat?!

"ehh!? Brat you say?! look whos talking BAKA!" I teased, he suddenly stop from walking and turned towards me. I was taken aback when he looked at me angrily and pissed at the same time.

I got shivers down my spine when he looked at me with his piercing eyes.

He leaned closer to me and said something... it was short, but painful... my chest tightens like someone is gripping my lungs... my eyes blurred because of the tears but I held them... and let him not see me cry or one tear going down my cheeks, no I won't do that because of what he said to me... he walked passed me and went to the corridor where the gym is held... yes... I finally convinced him to practise... but his words echoed through my mind, I was standing there... like someone glued my feet, I cant move... still paralyzed where I was standing.

It was short... but dead meaningful...

"Get your ugly face away from me. I dont need someone to follow me just because of the stupid club."

"Tetsucha?"

"Makichi, dont worry! Im sure Makochi didn't mean it!" I said, " you know that he cares about you! Now, you go home now! Your mother will get worried!" I grabbed her hand and started walking towards the train station.

"Makichi" I called, she looked at me and tilted her head innocently. Oh Makichi! You're so cute when you do that! I want to hug you right now!

"I can't wait for the match. And I have a favor to ask."

"What is it Tetsucha?" I smiled at her then told her.
