A Drastic Decision

07:17, 16 November 2012

I hop in Logan's car, quite angry with Louis. Why would he punch Logan? Maybe i really did make a mistake by trusting them...

I take Logan back to my flat and quickly aid his wound.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Why did Louis punch you?" I ask a bit hesitant. Do I really wanna know?

"Uh, I'm not sure. I think he's jealous..." Logan says.

"What? no way. He's my bro. I can't date my brother!"

"I'm glad you feel that way." he says, standing up. He snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me into him. He pushes his lips onto mine, a bit forcefully. His kiss is, for lack of better terms, boring. No sparks. No love. I didn't feel anything.

I push him off of me lightly.

"What's wrong, babe?" he says. My heart doesn't flip when he calls me babe.

"Nothing really." I say awkwardly. Is love awkward? I don't think so...

"Well, I better go..." he says.

"uh, yeah. Sure. I'll see you later."

"Of course." he pecks my cheek and leaves. I sink back into the couch and just think.

What am I supposed to do? I don't love Logan. That is so obvious. But I don't want to hurt him.

Then there's the situation with the boys. I love them to death, but why would Louis punch Logan? I mean, as far as they know, I love Logan. Was he jealous? I don't think so... I mean, he would never like someone like me. Not to mention, he wouldn't punch someone without a decent reason. I can't face him. I'd blow up at him like I did Liam. I'm too independent, I guess.

That's it. Independence. I can get away from all these people. It's so easy. I could just run away. Leaving what behind? Them. My job. But it wouldn't be the first time I've picked myself out of the ashes.

Without another thought, I grab my backpack and grab all my essentials. Clothes, phone, a bit of food, money, credit card, and a few other things. I sling it over my shoulder and sit down and write a quick note. Just one simple word.

Good-bye.

No emotion, as flat as possible. I look around one last time and walk through the door. I hear the rain dripping right before I walk out. I gulp and step out. The rain atracks my body and I run towards my bike. I hop on the wet seat and start it up. I rev up the engine and start going, riding to anywhere but here.

I ride and ride and ride. I get to a spot where the rain has let up, but it's nighttime so it's dark out. My headlights blare through the streets, breaking every ounce of the black that surrounds. I see a tiny flat complex and something clicks. I get off my bike and walk into it and find someone at the front desk.

"Hello, may I help you?" the person says in a tired voice.

"Yes, can I rent a flat?"

"do you have an appointment?"

" no I just want whatevers available. Just something small."

"Well, I suppose you could take the corner flat. Nobody will rent it."

"Sounds great."

We do some paperwork and I move my bag in. It is very quaint, but I don't mind. Its about the same size as my other one. I settle into the bed.

Tomorrow I make a new life. A new me. And no more drama!
