Chapter 8: Cliche Feelings

Joe POV:It's not easy being with him all the time. I may love being with him even if we spend our time fighting, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Joe POV:I met Kaoru back in our first year of high school. Me and him were in the same class. He didn't really try in class because he never needed to. He was smart enough to be in class A, but he didn't try. While I struggled to even make it to class C. I was always aware of who he was. Kaoru Sakurayashiki everyone knew who he was the skater who had pink hair and wore piercings. The first time I ever spoke to him was when he needed an eraser, but the first time we had an actual conversation was....

Joe was walking home like he did every day, when suddenly he gets pulled into an alley.

??? 1: Hey you got any money kid?

Joe: No I don't got anything now let me go.

??? 2: Hey don't lie to us, you have to have something right?

??? 3:Yeah you cant just have nothing.

??? 1: Look through his bag.

Joe tries to resist and get away

??? 3: Hey you little punk. No one gets away from us.

??? 3 is about to punch Joe but someone stopped him

??? 1: Who are you?

Kaoru: No one important. I just came to take him with me.

??? 2: Who said you could do that.

Kaoru: Who told you to try to rob a high schooler.

??? 2" That's it.

??? 2 is about to punch Cherry but he ducks and kicks ??? 2 behind the knee causing him to fall

??? 1: What the fuck did you you just kid.

Kaoru: I defended myself now I need to go and take him with me. Let's go.

Joe: Yeah, let's go.

??? 2: What do you think your doing.

Kaoru whispers to Joe: Grab my hand.

Joe: Ok but why?

Kaoru: I had fun but I'm heading out.

Kaoru starts running while Joe us trying to keep up with his speed. They run and hide in an abandoned building.

Kaoru: I don't think they'll find us here. You alright.

Joe: *painting* Yeah I'm fine, thank you.

Kaoru: You're in my class right?

Joe: Yeah glass 1-C.

Kaoru holds out his arm

Kaoru: I'm Kaoru Sakurayashiki

Joe reaches his arm out so shake Kaoru's

Joe: I'm Kojiro Nanjo....Joe POV: That was the first time I ever spoke to him, when we became friends. But that isn't when I fell for him. ...Kaoru: Hey do you wanna go to the park today after class, Nanjo?

Joe: Sure Sakurayashiki.

Kaoru: I want to show you something. I've been trying to do something and I wanna show you.

Joe: Alright, can't wait to see it then.

At the park

Kaoru: Ok you ready to see?

Joe: Yeah, what is it.

Kaoru: So you know how I skate?

Joe: Yeah what about it?

Kaoru: There's this trick called the ollie where you jump with your board.

Joe: Is that what you wanted to show me?

Kaoru: I haven't been able to land it most time before, but I think I can now. I just have the feeling.

Joe: What makes you think that?

Kaoru: I'm not sure. I just think I can. You ready?

Joe: Yeah go ahead.

Cherry attempts and land his ollie

Joe's head at the time: He looks beautiful almost like falling cherry petals.

Kaoru: I did it, did you see?

Joe: It was beautiful, cherry blossom.

Kaoru: What did you call me?

Joe: Oh because you last name has the word sakura in it and it means cherry blossom.

Kaoru: Don't start calling me that I'd prefer it if you'd call me by my given name.

Joe: Ok Kaoru, then you can call me Kojiro.

Kaoru: Well then Kojiro would you like to try skating?

Joe: Sure why not....Joe POV:That day we spent designing my skateboard, and he tried teaching me the basics before even starting to skate. And when I got home I knew I really liked him. I'm not sure when exactly because it could've been his skating that attracted me, or I could've liked him from when we ran away from the alley thief's. But I relized it that day....Back to Joe in present time.

Joe gets home to shower before opening his restaurant.

Joe: Shit, I shouldn't have done that. I should've stayed, but I can't. Why is life so hard?

Joe goes to get clean clothes from his closet but he finds the box containing all the photos again, and sees the photo he had seen two weeks ago a photo of him, Cherry, and Yuri

Joe: I should get rid of this photo shouldn't I, but it has Kaoru. I'll just cut out Yuri and keep the photo. If I ever lose Kaoru I at least want to keep the good memories.

Joe goes to shower changes his clothes and heads to work....Door opens to restaurant

Joe: Welcome to-. It's you?

???: Hello.

Joe: You're snake that guy from S.

Tadashi: I prefer if you don't speak of that. My name is Tadashi Kikuchi, I work for Mr Ainosuke.

Joe: You don't happen to be his special someone do you?

Tadashi: Seeing as he already told you I exist. Yes I am "his special someone."

Joe: Must be hard working under him.

Tadashi: I work for him I don't have a say.

Joe: So why are you here,

Tadashi: Mr Ainosuke wanted lunch and to see how you were, but he can't be here so he asked me to check on you.

Joe: You tell him I'm fine.

Tadashi: He told me that if you said that to tell you, "You can stop lying to yourself we both know that's a lie."

Joe: What would you like to order?

Tadashi: Anything of your choosing.

Joe: Alright I'll be right back.

Twenty minutes later

Joe: Here two of today's special.

Tadashi: Why two?

Joe:So you two can eat together.

Tadashi: Well thank you. Now I must be on my way.

Joe: Have a nice day, and tell Adam I'll talk to Kaoru later.

Tadashi: I will.

Tadashi leaves

An hour later someone busts through the door while Joe is having lunch

Joe: What are you doing here?

Reki: Joe we need to talk.
