Chapter 5: the game

Beomgyu's POV

It's Kai's game today. We are all excited but it's still later afternoon. So we have to finish class before watching the game. Kai isn't present in the classroom since he is busy preparing for the game.

at the school campus (9:11 AM)

Beomgyu: Why is time so slow! I want to watch the game already!

Our first subject is already done and we're now currently having our first break. Taehyun and I decided to come to the fountain since it isn't crowded anymore unlike yesterday. Taehyun invited Yeonjun a while ago since Kai isn't around but he disagreed. He said he has to do his essay in the library.

Taehyun: I hope no teacher will give an assignment today.

Beemgyu: I hope so. There are still students who aren't finish with the essay.

Taehyun: How about let's visit Kai?

Beomgyu: Maybe he's still busy preparing for the game?

Taehyun: Okay. Let's just not bother him.

Soobin's POV

school campus (9:35 AM)

Jungkook: Soobini, are you done decorating the club room?

Soobin: Yes, hyung! We are also done distributing the audition papers yesterday!

(hyung = a word used by Korean males to address another male older than them who they are close to.)

Jungkook: Nice one! Seriously, you are slowly becoming like Namjoon! Both of you are incredibly responsible persons, you do deserve to be the club's president this year.

Jungkook hyung is my senior in this club for 2 years. There are also other seniors who helped me like Jimin hyung, Taehyung hyung and many more. And thanks to them, they all taught me how to love myself so that I can stand on the stage confidently. I will not forget about their kindness and many good things they have done to me. Instead, I'll cherish those happy moments forever.

Soobin: I'm just doing my job, hyung!

Jungkook: Wait, are you busy later?

Soobin: Not really, hyung. Why?

Jungkook: It's Jin's game later. Wanna come?

Soobin: Oh, is it today? I forgot hehhehehe.

Jungkook: (smiled) Come with us, ok! Jin will be disappointed if you didn't watch his game!

Soobin: Of course, hyung!

Jungkook: Okay. Bye!

Soobin: Bye, hyung!

Jungkook hyung walked to a distance while I headed back to my classroom. How did I forget that it's Jin hyung's game today?!

I prepared myself for the upcoming subject.

Beomgyu's POV

in the cafeteria

Beomgyu: Whyyyyyyy!? Whyyyyyyyy!?

I'm literally crying inside and outside.

Taehyun: Shhh! Be quiet! Everyone is now looking at us!

Beomgyu: Why would Mrs. Lee gave us so many assignments?! We just had our activity last time. Huhuhuhu!

Taehyun covered my mouth because he is embarrassed that people near us are looking at us.

I pulled Taehyun's hand off my mouth.

Beomgyu: Aren't you mad too? You also have to practice in the weekends.

Taehyun: Of course I'm mad. It's just that this isn't the right place to be mad? (whispering)

I looked the people near us and the guy near me said that I'm crazy.

"Isn't that Beomgyu from Class-A? It's actually real that intelligence might cause you craziness."

"He's too loud, I wanna go out!"

I just continued eating my lunch then someone came near us.

That person is like at my back so I can't see him but I noticed he was somehow talking to Taehyun who's in my front.

Taehyun: Sure!

That person sat next to me and I looked at him, it was Yeonjun.

Beomgyu: Hi?

Yeonjun: Hey.

After that, there's a silence in us although the students here are so loud.

It was awkward so I started a conversation.

Beomgyu: So what will we do now that we have plenty of works to do in Science?

I looked at them and no one was answering. They just looked at me. I'm not really awkward to Taehyun but to Yeonjun, hehhehehe AWKWARD!

So I answered my own question.

Beomgyu: How about let's meet up and finish our assignments on Saturday?

Wait. What I did I just say? WTF.

I just realized what I just have said. Why did I even suggested that? Why am I not thinking???

Taehyun: I can't. I've told you, Beomgyu, that we're staying in Tagaytay in the weekends.

Beomgyu: Oh yeah! I forgot!

Taehyun: Maybe Yeonjun is free on Saturday. Yeonjun are you in with Beomgyu?

What have I done? We will just be more awkward to each other if we meet up.

Yeonjun: Okay. What time?

Beomgyu: Uhmmm. Uhmmmm.

If I can just retrieve what I have said, I could have done it earlier.

Beomgyu: Around 9:30 to 10:00?

Taehyun: You can't even finish one/half of it if it's that short.

Beomgyu: Then, 9:30 to 10:10?

Taehyun just stared at me. Huhuhuhu what should I do.

Beomgyu: Ok fine 9:30 to 11:00. Is that okay Yeonjun.

Yeonjun nodded.

school field (5:25 PM)

"Go BlueRaven! Ravenwoods for the win!"

The whole field is crowded yet we still have made it in the front row. We are near Ravenwood's rest area which is our school. And we still can't see Kai.

In my right side is Taehyun and my left side, you know, Yeonjun.

Beomgyu: Where are they? The game is starting in 5 minutes? Riverdale College (the opposing school of our school) is here but where are they?

Taehyun: There they are!

I started shouting our yell. Kai and his team entered the field as the students started cheering so loud. I swear my eardrums might be broken after this.

I told Yeonjun and Taehyun to scream but only Taehyun did it.

Beomgyu: Yeonjun, come on! Aren't you here to support Kai?

Yeonjun looked at me then he looked away. Tss. I looked away and started yelling so loud.

Beomgyu: GO BLUERAVENS! RAVENWOODS FOR THE WIN!

Yeonjun: Go Kai.

I looked at Yeonjun.

Beomgyu: Is that it? Louder!

He looked at me again then he looked away. I'm still looking at him and is waiting for him to shout.

Beomgyu: You know what? Just use this one.

I gave him a horn and he held it.

Beomgyu: Try blowing on this part.

It took several seconds before he blow it. After blowing, instead of having a loud sound, I heard a high pitched one which is strange. What did he just do?

Beomgyu: Okay. Okay Okay. Just clap okay? You know how to clap right?

He nodded and begins clapping. Is this his first time watching a game? lol

The game is about to start and everyone started to cheer again. The voices from them almost made me deaf because it's way too loud.

I looked at Yeonjun. He's clapping like a ten year old. I laughed so I looked at a different direction so he couldn't notice it.
