How Did You Get Here

I'm Blossom Hitomawa, I'm a High School Graduate, twenty years old and I have a confession... I've never had a boyfriend.

The reason: Because I only have one ideal man and he doesn't exist.

It's a character from a game named, Lucifer.

Lucifer is a demon in this dating simulator I play. He's an Avatar of Pride.

Basically, him and his brothers are the Seven Deadly Sins as hot characters.

I took a liking to him, because he was misunderstood.

Yet, he loves all six of his brothers, even if they misunderstood him.

Me, I'm not the oldest like he is. I'm the third born in my family.

I have an older sister named Ivy, followed by Rose, then comes me, Lily and the youngest, Dandelion.

Ivy and I had a falling out.

She complains how I'm a twenty year old female and all I do is obsess over fictional characters.

Sure, words hurt, but so do actions.

Ivy had burned two of my Lucifer figurines, which crossed the line for me.

I moved out of the apartment and now live across from them, since it was the only room available.

I do have a job, and I work at a Neko Maid Cafe, so I'm able to afford rent.

Now, two months have passed and I've been doing well for myself... Except my games.

I got home and I was tired.

"I gotta visit Lucifer and give him his head pats." I mumbled.

I opened the app.

"Welcome back, I was so lonely without you." Lucifer said in the home screen.

I was about to tap on Lucifer, only for me to fully fall asleep.

"Hey, are you there?" Were the last words I heard.

I felt something poking me.

I shrugged it off.

I was poked on my nose and I turned my head away.

"Human. Wake up." Someone said.

My eyes widened from hearing the deep voice.

I quickly sat up and I saw a man wearing a black long sleeve shirt and red pants.

"Oh, now the human wakes up. If I had known all it took was for me to speak, I would have done so hours ago." He said.

I suddenly recognized who he was.

"L-Lucifer?" I stuttered.

His red eyes gazed at me from saying his name. "Yes, that is correct. How do you know that?"

I looked at my phone to check the app and it was gone.

Checking the playstore as well, the game was nowhere to be found.

"What the hell..." I quickly got off my bed and ran out of my apartment.

"Rose!" I cried, as I pounded on the door across from my apartment.

Rose opened the door and yawned. "What is it Bloss- Waaaah!"

I dragged her out of her aprtment and into mine.

"Please tell me you see this guy!" I pointed at Lucifer, who was standing in my living room, arms crossed and he had an annoyed look on his face.

"Yes. Oh, is that why you wanted to move out? Because you have a boyfriend?" Rose asked me.

"What?! No! Does he not look familiar to you?" I whined.

Rose stared at Lucifer and shook her head.

No way... the app doesn't exist... And Rose, who I blabber 24/7 about Lucifer, doesn't recognize him.

"Rose, that's Lucifer! You know, the one game character I talk to you ab-" I was cut off when Lucifer walked towards Rose.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Yes, my name is Lucifer. Rose, that is a lovely name." Lucifer bowed.

Rose blushed and covered her face.

"Rose... How did I move out again..?" I asked.

Rose looked at me and thought about it. "Ivy tried to force you to go to college and you refused. After she signed you up behind your back, you threw a fit."

No, that's not how it happened.

Lucifer glanced at me.

"Oh, haha. I have to get Dandelion and Lily ready for school. It was nice meeting you, Lucifer." Rose said, as she left my apartment.

I fell on my knees. "What the hell is going on...? That's not why I left and got my own apartment..."

I started to mumble to myself.

Lucifer checked his cellphone and glared at me. "You must be Blossom then."

I looked at Lucifer to see him glaring at me. "Yeah and?"

My eyes widened as Lucifer changed into his demon form, or true form.

He only ever changes into that form if he's really angry or when he needs to.

In this case, he's angry.

"Why am I here? How is it that I lost all my contacts of my brothers and Lord Diavolo?" He asked me.

I fell back, as he raised his hands towards me. "H-hey! I'm just as confused as you are!"

"Explain how you're confused?" Lucifer asked me.

"You're not a real person. You're a character from a dating simulator game I play. I don't know what happened! I fell asleep playing with you and I wake up with you in my room!" I yelled angrily at him.

Lucifer slowly put his hand down and raised an eyebrow. "In what sense were you 'playing with me'?"

I felt myself turn pink, as I realized he took it out of context. "Not like that! Okay, you know how Leviathan plays his dating simulator games? You're a character just like that!"

Upon hearing Leviathan's name, Lucifer raised his arm again.

God damn it.

"How do you know Leviathan?" He asked.

I scratched my head. "I explained this already! You're a character from a dating simulator! You and your brothers are basically my options in that game!" I explained, but added more details.

Lucifer once again put his hand down. "I see."

I let out a sigh of relief.

He reverted back to his human looking form. "When you woke up and saw me, what were you doing on your phone?"

"I was checking the app. But, for some reason, the app doesn't exist anymore." I said.

"That app. Was it named, Shall We Date?" Lucifer asked.

"Yes!" I quickly said, as I stood up.

Lucifer let out an annoyed sigh. "Mammon, you moron."

"Did... Mammon do something?" I asked.

Lucifer looked at me. "The Shall We Date games, it's by the Devildom. It's a game, yes. But, if I'm here. It meant you maxed out my intimacy."

"I don't follow." I said, confused.

"Lord Diavolo, wants humans and demons to interact. I'm not the first demon who appeared in the Human World. Asmodeus was the first one sent here." Lucifer told me.

I crossed my arms. "So, you're saying... That this whole thing is basically because of Lord Diavolo? And the app is basically cursed to those devoted to it? Wait... Why did you blame Mammon though?"

"He was supposed to notify whose intimacy is going to max out. If I'm here, then I must oblige to Lord Diavolo's orders." He said.

"Orders? What orders?" I asked.

Lucifer knelt down on one knee and bowed. "I, Lucifer the Avatar of Pride, will be at your service. Until Lord Diavolo asks for our return."

"So, is this like a pact?" I asked.

Lucifer stood up and burst out laughing. "A pact? I would NEVER make a pact with a human. I'm just here to serve you for small things. I'm still able to decline your requests."

I gave him a pout. "Damn it."

He sighed and looked at his phone. "Still, I'm surprised that I was the second one to go. I expected to not be chosen. Due to the fact, that when the game came out the first year, Asmodeus and Satan were heavily chosen by female players. The first person who increases the intimacy of my brothers in the game, basically has proven themselves. I made sure my character was hard to figure out. How did you fi-"

I tapped Lucifer's lips, rubbed his chest and tapped his right shoulder.

He gave me a confused look. "What...?"

"In the game, that was the way I raised your affection.... WAAAAAIIIIT. Can you do me a favor?" I asked, as I covered my face and wiggled.

Lucifer, now has a worried look on his face. "...What...?"

"Can you say, 'Blossom, my darling.' Please!" I begged.

"No." Lucifer flat out responded.

I tugged on his shirt. "Oh, come on! Please."

Lucifer crossed his arms. "No. I will not say those things."

God damn it.

Wait...

"Pffft. Basic." I said, as I crossed my arms.

Lucifer glared at me. "What do you mean by, 'basic' ?"

"Oh, you know. 'Ugh, I'm a Avatar of Pride, so I gotta have Pride and be a total downer.' That kind of basic. You look like the type of person who won't try new things. So sad." I said in disappointment.

I noticed Lucifer had closed his eyes and he seemed to be in deep though.

Then, he stared at me. "Blossom, my darling."

I felt myself blush and I squealed and ran around the room.

Lucifer closed his eyes again, arms crossed and you can see his vein pop out from the anger.

The door to my apartment opened and I stopped running around.

It was Ivy.

"Oh, so what Rose said was true. Is this really why you don't want to go to college?" Ivy asked, as she had her arms crossed.

I looked down. "It's not that, Lucifer is just a friend."

Unlike with Rose, Lucifer didn't properly introduce himself to Ivy.

He was still in the same position, angry, after basically losing his pride.

"Tsk. You're such a disappointment. If you get pregnant and the man leaves, don't come running to us." Ivy said, as she left and slammed the door.

I started to feel myself cry.

Lucifer finally opened his eyes and looked at me. "Why are you crying? Weren't you happy just a moment ago?"

Did he seriously not notice Ivy show up?

"Huh? No. Um... I have to go to work, gotta go get ready." I said.

Lucifer sat down on the sofa in my living room and he just toyed with his cellphone.

"Okay, you stay here. Or I don't know. Just don't get into trouble I guess? Since it was obvious you still have your demon powers here in the Human world." I said, as I grabbed my bag.

Lucifer was about to say something, only for him to just stare at me.

I looked at him. "What?"

"Why are you... Wearing that...? And the cat ears?" He looked at me confused.

"This is my work... Outfit. Don't judge me!" I felt myself get flusterred.

I quickly left my apartment and ran to work.

I always dreamt of Lucifer existing. Now, he's here... I don't know how to really act anymore.

'Blossom, my darling.' Those words echoed in my head and I couldn't help but blush as I walked.

So, the game was basically a test experiment for humans.

Asmodeus, the Avatar of Lust, is already here.

I can't believe I was the first to max Lucifer in the game's intimacy... Four years of playing the game...

I got to my work and started to greet customers.

An hour later...

"Nya! Nya! Welcome to- Ack." I froze.

It was Dandelion, but Lucifer was giving her a piggyback ride.

Dandelion was supposed to be at school!

"Oh, wow. He's a hottie. He's with Dandelion. Is he one of your sister's boyfriends?" My co-worker asked.

"N-Nya...! I mean... No! Wait..." I sighed. "Nya! Welcome to Neko Cafe. Let me sit you to your seat."

Lucifer followed me and set Dandelion down when I showed them their seats.

"Why is she not at school?!" I angrily whispered at Lucifer.

Lucifer closed his eyes.

"Their channels are horrible. The shows are horrible." Lucifer said, as he turned the television off.

Someone started knocking on the door.

Lucifer stood up and opened the door, only to see Dandelion looking up at him.

"You're not Bloo." Dandelion said, as she just stared at Lucifer.

"No, she left for work. Did you need something from her?" Lucifer asked.

Dandelion stared at him. "Come here, I have something to whisper."

Lucifer knelt down, only for Dandelion to jump on him and climb on his back. "What the-?!"

"Can you take me to her work?" Dandelion asked.

"Why would I do that? You little-" Lucifer was about to grab her.

"You hurt me, that's child abuse. If you lay a finger on me, that's child assault. Specially since I don't know you." Dandelion said.

Lucifer let out an annoyed sigh.

(End of flashback)

I couldn't help but laugh. "There goes your pride. Taken by a five year old girl."

Lucifer glared at me.

I coughed and looked at Dandelion. "Dandy, why aren't you at school?"

Dandelion looked down and this caused me to frown.

Lucifer looked at Dandelion this time.

"Dandy, did Ivy hurt you again...? I told you to stop talking back to her." I sighed, as I took her left arm.

Lifting her sleeve up, I saw another bruise.

Ivy, is the oldest in the family. She's had to take care of all four of us when our parents passed four years ago... It wasn't easy.

Still, it doesn't give her the right...

Lucifer moved over to Dandelion. "Want to see a magic trick?"

Dandelion looked up at him. "Yes. I love magic tricks."

Lucifer placed his hand on Dandelion's bruise.

"Lucifer, this isn't really..." I paused and saw his hand glow red for a bit.

I looked around and nobody was watching.

Once he lifted his hand up, the bruise was gone.

"Wow!" Dandelion looked up at Lucifer with sparkly eyes.

Lucifer placed his index finger on his lips. "Promise you won't tell."

Dandelion nods her head and got off the chair. "I gotta pee!" She ran to the bathroom.

I looked at Lucifer. "How did you do that?"

Lucifer lifted the sleeve on his left arm.

He had the bruise on the same exact spot where Dandelion had hers.

"I just took the pain from her. Your sister, Ivy, she isn't very nice. Is she?" Lucifer asked.

I shook my head.

"Blossom!" My manager yelled my name.

"Wha?" I looked at her and she was making cat gestures.

I felt myself blush.

No... I have to do that in front of Lucifer?!

"What's wrong?" Lucifer asked, as he sat back on his seat.

I raised both my hands in a cat-paw like motion. "N-nya! What did want to order right m-meow, Nya!"

Lucifer froze at what I had just done.

Dandelion came back. "I want a chocolate mousse cake! Get one for Lucy too!"

I nervously took a step back. "Nya... Your order will be here in Nya bit!" I felt myself turn really red, I can feel my cheeks burning.

I ran to the kitchen.

Oh god, oh god. What the freaking chicken noodle nuggets?!

Those were requirements when we take people's orders.

Neko cafe.

We had to basically act like cats.

"Here you go, two chocolate mousse. I added your sisters favorite drink too. Free of charge. You know I love your sister. But, who's that man?" My manager asked me.

"H-He's a friend." I spoke softly.

My manager stared at me and she laughed. "Oh, my. You like your friend, huh?"

"W-what?! No!" I quickly grabbed the tray and went back to serve it to them.

I saw Lucifer was still frozen in shock.

"Here's your order, nya!" I said, as I shakingly placed the two cakes in front of them, and Dandelion's drink.

Dandelion took a sip of her drink. "Wooooow! Thank you, Mrs. Erai!"

"You're welcome, Dandelion." My manager walked over to us. "And you are?"

Lucifer shook his head and looked at my manager. "I'm Lucifer. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Erai."

My manager blushed and laughed. "Oh, what a handsome young man. If only I was younger."

"You don't look a day over thirty." Lucifer smiled.

"Oh my!" My manager squealed.

I swear I saw steam come out of her nose.

"Blossom, let's invite your friend to our party tonight." She told me.

"W-What?! I'm sure Lucifer-" I was cut off.

"Oh? I love parties." He said.

God damn it.

My manager told him the details of the party, the time, and location.

"Well, it looks like I have to go buy a new outfit." Lucifer laughed.

I hate this...

Lucifer and Dandelion left my work and I sighed.

"He's a sweet man. You really should go for it." My manager told me.

I would. But it's not as easy in real life as it is on the game.

My shift ended and I went straight home.

Lucifer wasn't there.

"Thank god... Ugh. I have an hour to shower..." I said.

I took my quick shower and got ready.

I was ten minutes early and I spotted a few of my co-workers.

They were gathered.

I was about to make my way to them only to see that they were gathered around Lucifer, who was wearing a red turtleneck long sleeve and a black coat over his shoulders.

Lucifer glanced at me and waved. "Blossom, there you are."

My female co-workers squealed and tried to flirt with Lucifer.

But, it turned out Lucifer ignored them.

"Wow, aren't you popular?" I said.

"At least you're wearing something normal." Lucifer said.

I just closed my eyes and smiled. "What do you mean, normal." I angrily said.

"I do miss those cat ears though." Lucifer faked a sad tone.

I punched his shoulder. "Shut up!"

I made my way to the bar, seeing as my manager showed up.

The bar was packed already, loud music played, the lights were colorful.

Our group went to the bar itself, with Lucifer following behind me.

Lucifer stood next to me. "Are you really going to drink?"

"Yes! It's my first time, but I got this!" I said, as I ordered my drink.

"And you sir?" The bartender looked at Lucifer.

"I'll take an Irish Car Bomb." Lucifer said.

I looked at Lucifer.

I noticed he was staring at someone.

It was one of my co-worker, Ayaka.

Ayaka was twenty-four years old. She had long luscious red curls and her bust was big.

She was wearing a black tank top. That her breast bounced every movement she made. It was obvious she wasn't wearing a bra.

She was even wearing those short booty shorts, which was basically revealing half her ass.

Lucifer seemed to be intrigued by her.

I huffed my cheeks and took my drink as it was served.

I looked away, the moment I saw Ayaka wrapped her arounds Lucifer's neck.

I somehow felt my heart shatter.

Lucifer was basically the love of my life and here he is, existing, interested in Ayaka.

I went on my apps and clicked on another dating game that wasn't by the Devildom.

The past hour, all I did was play my game.

Ayaka pulled away from kissing Lucifer and she noticed me at the bar. "Oh my god. I can't believe your friends with her."

Lucifer glanced at where she was looking at. "You mean, Blossom?"

Ayaka nods her head. "Huh. She has a name. All she ever does is play her games. So sad really. Maybe if she acted more mature she'd actually get laid."

Lucifer noticed all the shot glasses next to me.

"She's fine." Ayaka said, as he faced Lucifer to her and she kissed him again.

I rested my head on the bar counter and stared as I succeeded in raising the male character's intimacy. "Zion, you won't ditch me."

I turned to my left and saw two guys.

One sat on my left and the other on my right.

As I moved back, the bandana guy caught me and hugged me tightly.

I pressed my index finger on his chest. "It's not fair... I worked hard for you."
