Chapter 58 : The Truth about Heartfilia Duty at Alvarez Empire

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED ROLOTIA!!??? HOW CAN MY MOTHER IS PART OF ALVAREZ!?? IT'S NOT MAKE SENSE "lucy screamed inside her mind and demanded answer from her patron god Rolotia.

"why that....pfff..............not make sense??.......pfft anything can happen Lucy"Rolotia replied with still holding her laughter.This is what Rolotia waited,seeing person that she officially reincarnated and learn the truth that she never learn at her first life.Because at that time,Lucy still kid so she never learn anything about her history.

"IT'S ABOUT EVERYTHING LIKE YOU KNOW...IT'S ALVAREZ THAT WE TALKING ABOUT!!!!ITS LEADED BY ZEREF" Lucy screaming inside her mind while talking with rolotia at her mind.

"WHY MY MOTHER EVEN PART OF ZEREF EMPIRE AT FIRST PLACE.IT'S JUST NOT MAKE SENSE!!!"Lucy screamed at her mind again.

"Well........pfft.....if you areally want know why you not......pffftttt.....asking your mother directly" Rolotia replied still holding her laughter.

"STOP LAUGHING " Lucy internally screaming again inside her mind.

"Okay okay sorry i will stop now.But seriously Lucy you better ask directly since even if i give you the answer.I don't know if you can accept them." Rolotia give suggestion to Lucy.Her suggestion to asking directly to Layla is really what she mean.It's more better to ask from source better than hearing it from elsewere.

"I better hear that this is just pure nonsense" Lucy sighing after she can feel rolotia presence is fading from her mind.

Then without second thought,Lucy approach her mama."Mama what are you doing here?"Lucy asking to her mother.

Layla then narrowing her head and see that her daughter here "Lucy? So it's really you that Lady Irene talking about before" Layla state the fact like its obvious thing to do.

"Wait mother you know Mrs.Irene?"Lucy shocked hearing this.how the hell her mother know Irene.Lucy never know about this.even at her first life,she never hear about that Irene has connection to her mother.

But wait.Lucy remember Rolotia insist to join Alvarez Empire at past.At first she does not know why her patron goddess is want herself to join Alvarez empire that basically fairy tail enemy at her first life.Turn out it's more complicated that it's seem.

She realize that Alvarez is much different that she thought at her second life especially at past.But she never thought the disparity is so vast that it's making it like joke.

"Hmm where should i start to explain" Layla wondered to herself.Layla never has thought to explain this thing when she with her daughter before.It's just never crossed at her mind.

"Ah maybe from that time" Layla began explained why she is one of Spriggan member.

"It's start from before i meet your father" Layla begin explaining."Before meet papa.But did not you always member of Love & Lucky guild at past?" Lucy asked again.Lucy clearly remember at her first life after some intense conflict with her father from Battle of Fairy Tail when her father goes bankrupt.He clearly say meet mother at Love & Lucky guild.Did she forget something when father tell her at past?.

Layla then replied "Altrought i don't know from where youhear about it,but it's not wrong.I am once temporary working at Love & Lucky guild but it's because i prepared for something so i am hiatus from Alvarez for a while"

"Hiatus? Mama?Why? did something happened" Lucy geniune asked and slightly confused.Why her mama going hiatus suddenly from her spriggan duty.Lucy really believed she know well about her mother but it's seem some thing are she never learned.Like her mother wearing Spriggan clothes like now.

"Lucy In the year X764, People saying i am retired all of my Spirits due to her fading health.But the truth is actually more than that" Layla continued explaining.

Lucy just nodded and hearing very closely.She does not know how her mother connected to Alvarez but maybe it's more than that.

"At year of X764.I am Hiatus from my duty as spriggan is because for this moment.To doing duty of Heartfilia to open eclipse gate.I simply reserved my magic if something unexpected happened". Layla continued explained.

"Something unexpected happened?" Lucy wondered what her mother mean but then she gasping what her mother mean.It's her first life that Lucy mother subtitute missing Aquarius key with her life force.Now you think about it,the fact Lucy mother can subtitute her life force and can open the gate despite she is will fall ill son is already miracle.How much magic that she need to even subtitute the missing key and the fact its success and she is not immediately die is already proof that Lucy mother actually not just normal celestial spirit mage.

"Well it's like of some of the key missing" Layla explained.

then from side when grammi hear the conversation,she join conversation and saying "That's why you must tell other about your duty detail before!! i hear from Lady Irene that you propose to hiatus at past and never tell the detail to anyone.Even i don't know exatcly until you come to meet me.Glad that your daughter found a way to ourself for meet"

"Well if you say like that Grammi maybe it's really right ahahahaha" Layla giving sheepish face."But it's not my fault okay?! the book say i must keep it secret from other person.It's that always my parent say" Layla try to refute and giving plausible explanation.

"Mama parent? That mean my Grandfather and Grandmother?" Lucy asked her mother.To be honest lucy really never hear about her grandmother from her parent.She just know that Layla is her mother,Jude is her father,and Anna is her ancestor.She never hear the detail about her lineage.About her mother parent or beyond above them.

"Yes your grandmother and grandfather lucy,my parent and my grandparent is actually Alvarez officer at past" Layla explained the reason.

And then Lucy brain is simply blue screen and then she internally screaming "WHAT????OUR FAMILY ACTUALLY CONNECTED TO ALVAREZ EMPIRE AT PAST???HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT POSSIBLE?DID I MISS SOME INFORMATION AT MY FIRST LIFE?HOW COME I NEVER LEARN IT?I MEAN I KNOW THAT MY ANCESTOR ANNA HAS CONNECTION TO ZEREF BUT STILL IT'S...!!!!"

"Ahahaha is that so" Lucy just laughing weakly hearing her mother explanation.

"Yeah they always part of Alvarez at past.But it's not like we bow to our emperor" Layla explained.

"Wait what do you mean by that mama?" Lucy asked again.

"It's Like family tradition.It's like our ancestor promise and vow" Layla explained.

"Our ancestor promise.Anna to Emperor?" Lucy asked again.

"Wow you already know Lucy but i will broad the context.Anna once vow to her family to taking care of her friend so she always has a anchor to not let it fall to despair" Layla explained this.

Lucy mind reeling "Wait.anna once vow?Why i never hear it at my first life"

"At first before he has empire,our family always beside her so she not fall to deeper" Layla explained further.

"You already know right about the curse?" Layla asking her daughter.

"Well yeah kinda know about it" Lucy answered while nodding her head.

"Our task is to make sure Emperor not goes insane so we will always become her anchor at this empire.That's the detail" Layla done explaining it.

"Ohh..." Lucy just nodded but her internally asking like "Wait what about mavis?Is she not her anchor? But if you think about it.He not cause trouble until X792 at my first life where Alvarez War is started is already miracle".

"The Alvarez Empire is created at my parent era.that time my parents integrated to empire so they can always monitor the emperor.It's like if he near fall to despair we will pull him." Layla continue explaining.

Lucy just nodded "But wait how about his curse? If i remember his curse is the more he attach to life,the more the curse will steal it from him.Did we will die if he too close to him or make him know about love?" Lucy asked the real question that debugging him.It's not make sense because lucy remember zeref curse is little complicated based of what her first life hear from first master.

"Hmm great question lucy.the  answer is this" Layla pointed the scarf that she wearing.

Lucy eyes widened and saying "Mama...is not that..." Lucy know very well his shape of this scarf.It's almost same exatcly like Natsu scarf but something is different.Lucy dont know what but it's like this scarf more purer than natsu scarf.

"Yes.this is scarf that passed down from generation to generation.This scarf can repel the curse so we can going close to Emperor.It's say Ancestor anna knitted if from Dragon Scale" Layla explained again.

Lucy know very well this story.She remember at her first life at final battle with Acnologia,She indeed saying she knitted Natsu scarf from Igneel Scale.But she never thinking that Anna also has spare scarf that passed down to generation other than scarf that gifted to natsu.Live is really full of suprise.

Then sound ringing at lucy mind.It's Rolotia Voice."Lucy i don't think you need the scarf right?" Rolotia stated it like obvious thing to do.

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked to Rolotia inside her mind.Then rolotia replied "Lucy did you forget that you already undergo dragonization?". 

Then Lucy remember when she indeed already undergo dragonization like Irene.But she still cannot grasp what rolotia mean.

"You already dragon Lucy.That men you are immune to zeref curse.Did you wondered lucy why despite Curse of Contradiction is killing the more they love it but it never can success killed acnologia" Rolotia giving her question.

"No.why?????" Lucy wondered what rolotia mean then her mind gasped "Wait you did not mean....".

"Yes the curse cannot affect dragon.That mean currently only you,Irene,Acnologia,5 dragon gods,Selene son and dragon at guiltina that cannot affected by zeref curse" Rolotia stated it.

Lucy mouth is like "O" like she hearing that something absurd but also awesome.Dragon cannot affected by curse of contradiction? their scale is can repel the curse? its first time she hearing this.

"So basically i unaffected by zeref curse now? No more need scarf" Lucy asked to rolotia.

"Well that's more of like it" Rolotia replied inside her mind.

"Well i guess it's okay" Lucy already making her mind.If she unnafected by curse then so be it.

Then Luc continue her conversation to her mother "Mama i think you can keep the scarf.do not worry about me."

Layla geniune suprised what her daughter say but she remember her daughter always do impossible thing so she trust her "Then mama will keep the scarf.Altrought i dont know how but mama believe at you" Layla smiled.

And then green haired woman named grammi "Anyway let's go.We cannot stall you daughter coronation layla".

"Well if you say like that then we cannot wasted our time.Let's go Lucy". Layla tell lucy with smile.

Lucy just simply nodded and follow her mother.

The process of coronation is going swiftly.Plus as expected that Emperor Spriggan aka Zeref is not arrive.Lucy guessed he still at Tenrou Island.Also Lucy has Alvarez Mark Tatto at her Left Hand Back.

Lucy officially dual citizen where her right hand mark are Fairy Tail while Left Hand mark are Alvarez.It's proved that she is bridge and she will going to do anything so Alvarez and Fiore relationship never soil.
