What Had Happened To Him?

05:22, 8 February 2016

I started to cry and wrapped around him, letting him sink his head into my neck. "I was sure if lose you.." He mumbled, stroking my hair."I don't even remember what happened.." I said, pulling apart. I started tugging at wires like a little child before Taurtis stopped me."Leave those on." "But I hate them and being here! I don't want to stay!" I whined, crossing my arms. It's true, being in a room so bland made me sick. Plus the bed was small and uncomfortable. "But it's better if you do." I pouted and he kissed my nose. Just like Cody.. "So, I'll fill you in on what happened." He sat next to me explaining everything in detail. Form being beaten by Sam and Yuki into unconsciousness, to Taurtis watching me get carried into the hospital. "And every day I visited, I'd bring you a flower." He said. "Here's one more." He handed me a dainty yellow tulip. "I got you wooden ones because real ones wilt. Our love won't." I smiled and thanked him. We spent the next hour or so catching up. The only thing I never brought up, was my dream.

"It's getting late. I'll leave you to get some rest." I rolled my eyes."I just woke up from my comatose state like an hour ago and you want me to go to sleep?" He chuckled and rubbed my hand. "I'll be back tomorrow." He assured and shut the door. I sighed and laid down. At least they gave me TV.. I thought. It wasn't easy getting to sleep because there was this constant nagging feeling that there was something... Missing..  Like Taurtis didn't tell me something. Eventually my brain ran out of thoughts, leaving me to slip into the world of dreams.

"Y/n!" I cocked my head to the side and smiled as he ran up to me. He pulled me into a tight embrace, kissing my cheek. "I thought I'd never see you again." I smiled. "Well, I'm here." I said, missing the familiar scent around me. I looked up at him and kissed him softly. Everything about him, I missed. I inhaled deeply the smell of pine and mint. In the embrace, I twirled a lock of his blonde hair around my finger. "But y/n.. I need you to listen." I pulled apart and looked at him, his twinkling blue eyes dimmed to a deep blue-grey. "Taurtis isn't who you think he is. He isn't telling you what really happened. Taurtis-"

I groaned as I was being shaken once more. "Hmm?" "It's me y/n.. Taurtis. And I have breakfast." I rolled over and faced him. Was my dream trying to tell me something? Taurtis pulled a chair up and we started to eat. The whole time my brain kept insisting that I question Taurtis about what happened. Suddenly, my hands flew to my head, my jaw clenching tightly. "Y/n? What's wrong?" I was silent for a good 10 minutes, letting the throbbing pain in my head fade. "Ever since I woke up from my previous state, my head gets these awful headaches, it's like something was smashed on my head." Taurtis cocked his head as if he felt confused, but the beads of sweat on his forehead were making his lies fail. "Well, I know that you were kicked in the head by Yuki, but nothing else hit your head." "Hm.. Okay." I managed to say. I zoned out a while after Taurtis left. My thoughts clouded over for a bit, but soon, there was a clear thought that had popped up. The scar!

I quickly checked my wrist and searched for the crescent shaped blemish. I found it along my inner arm and smirked, Taurtis lied. When the whole Grian thing had happened, one of the guys had cut me with something, leaving a deep, kind of crescent shaped mark along my skin. I remembered it clear as day. I had several other faint memories, but most of them were too foggy to decipher. I did remember being carried to a car, getting removed from a plane, and possibly he clearest one, waking up for a few minutes in a dark backseat of a car. I needed to hear the truth, so I grabbed my phone off the stand and scanned through my contacts. But his name never came up. I sighed, knowing how close I was and how far the truth was. I searched up his name, hoping to find something. Luckily, his page came up. I quickly scrolled to the bottom and clicked the contact button. I sent him an email, praying that he would remember me . I fell asleep around 12AM, and was woken up from an alert. I checked my phone and saw that he had emailed me back.

His email revealed the truth. Cody explained that I had fallen asleep and he carried me back to his room. When he woke up I was gone. He found me missing at 9:39AM which is when I vaguely remember being in the car. I set my phone down and swung my legs over the bed. I pressed the 'nurse' button and waited. "Yes?" The petite, red headed nurse arrived. "Can I leave yet?" "No." My heart dropped. "But.. I can change the time in the files to release you early. You have been looking a lot better." She winked and scurried off. I smiled and internally high-fived myself. I replied to Cody's email and asked him to come pick me up at the hospital with some clothes. It was going to be a while before I would be rescued, but it would all be worth it. It was 8:19 so it was going to be late when he arrived and we could leave the next morning. I texted him the plan and smiled. I couldn't do much in the hospital so I spent my day sleeping and watching TV. After the red-headed nurse dropped off my dinner, I got a text from Cody.

Hey y/n. Plane arrived a bit early, so I'll be at the hospital in 30

I smiled, excited to I shrugged it off and ate a few bites of the soup they had brought me. I must have dozed off because the sound of my door closing startled me. I woke up with a start. Cody chuckled and sushed me. "It's me love, no need to worry." I smiled as he kissed me. He pulled away and took a seat on the edge of the bed next to me. He rested his hand on my knee as he talked to me. "Its nice, being back with you." I smiled as he crawled up next to me. He folded the arm holders down, giving him plenty of room to cuddle me. He snuggled into the crook of my neck and smiled."Hehe.. Where were you that you got here so much earlier?" "Germany for a talk show." He mumbled. I smiled and rested my cheek on his head and fell asleep.

The next morning, Cody woke me up. I rolled over and pulled the covers over my head. He poked me softly. "Darling, we need to get ready to fly back." I groaned and rolled out of the bed. Cody had handed me a stack of clothes and kissed my forehead before heading out. I yawned and got to the bathroom. I did the usual things before I slipped into the clothes I was given. I threw my hair into a messy mbraid and looked in the small mirror. It wasn't anything fancy, just a pair of Capri leggings, a red and black flannel, and my sneakers. I washed my face and walked out of the bathroom to find Cody on the side of the bed. "Morning love." He greeted, pulling me down next to him. "Morning." I chirped gently."We should get going. The flight will provide enough time for us to be alone." He winked and helped me up.

We walked out of the hospital and waited for a taxi to drive us to the airport. "Y/n?" I turned around and there stood Taurtis. He glared at us and made a running charge at Cody. "What the hell?!" He shouted before tackling him."Buddy back off." Cody groaned. He brought his leg up enough to kick him away. I gasped and stood back. "What are you doing with her?!" Taurtis asked."She's coming back with me!" Cody replied, pulling me into him."No way she is!" Taurtis grabbed me by the shoulder, his thumb definitely leaving a bruise. I don't know what flared up inside me but next thing I knew, my fist collided with his throat. I watched him fall to the hard concrete of the sidewalk. I covered my mouth and ran back into Cody's arms.

Luckily, a taxi had pulled up just in time. Cody climbed in and held his hand out. I gingerly grabbed it. I was halfway into the taxi when I heard Taurtis call out. I peered out at him, crouching on the sidewalk, bruises already formed on his skin. "Y/n.. You could have had me.. You could have had a new life.. A better life... Our life.. But no matter what.. Wherever you run to, just know that I will have you.. Even if it means getting bloody.."

He took a deep breath and stared up at me. His eyes looked dark. "You'd could have been mine y/n.." I yelped and scrambled into the taxi. What had happened to him?
