The Fight

*EXTREME VIOLENCE SCENE WARNING*

I woke up, once again on the quite uncomfortable hospital couch. I yawned and rubbed my eyes, checking the time. 12:00AM. I glanced over at the bed, noticing the Taurtis shaped dent left in it. My mind went straight into panic mode. I noticed the curtains on the balcony door, pushed apart ever so slightly. Walking over to the doors, I peered out. Taurtis stood on the balcony, watching the stars. He's gotten better, but the medicine he takes makes him feel cold easily. That and the autumn air blowing in is what made him bundle up. He wore a sweatshirt and sweat pants, with a blanket wrapped around him.

"Why are you out here?" I asked, touching his shoulder lightly. "I don't want to be here anymore.. I want to live normally again.." He sighed, pulling me into a hug. The warm, fuzzy blanket draping over me. "You will.. It's not like you'll be staying here forever.." He nodded, snuggling into me. I smiled and kissed his forehead. "Besides, the doctors said you should be able to live in a few days.." He groaned as I walked him back inside."Will you do me a favor?" I nodded, helping him climb into the bed. "Ask the doctors if you can take me to McDonald's because I saw an advertisement for their nuggets and say sound really good right now.." He whispered. I started laughing and said okay.

I turned the corner, searching for the doctors. "I don't know Doctor.. If we tell him, it's going to break him and his girlfriend." I hid behind the corner and eavesdropped. "It's possible but, we don't know for sure." "Well, let's just go for it, and face the consequences.." He Doctor replied. I inhaled sharply and walked in like I wasn't listening."Erm, excuse me? Taurtis wanted me to ask if he can have McDonald's.." I chuckled awkwardly. The nurses and the Doctor paused. "Um.. We need to tell you something.. Taurtis has a disease similar to AIDS. But this is much worse.. We don't know how it forms..The common cold could kill him.." The doctor swallowed hard. I covered my mouth, feeling the stinging tears hit my cheeks. I started sobbing, taking a minute to compose myself before telling Taurtis.

"Y-Y/n?" Taurtis said, shakily. I couldn't control the violent sobs wracking my body. "I'll be okay... Here are the keys to my house, go get some sleep.. See you in the morning." He sighed. I grabbed the keys and told him goodbye. I hugged him softly, not completely sure if it was the last hug he would give me or not. I walked out of the hospital, taking a deep breath of the cold air. I sighed and headed down the street to catch a taxi.

Suddenly, about 4 pairs of hands were groping me. They pulled me into an alleyway, holding me back from escape. One covering my mouth, the others traveling up and down my body. My screams came out muffled. "Shh, pretty baby, you're in good hands.." One guy chuckled. I bit his finger, causing him to yank it away. "HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE!" I shouted. My sweater was yanked down my shoulder, my leggings were ripped, and my hair was grasped tightly in a fist. I heard someone running. I struggled again, but my restraints were tight.

"Where are you?!" They shouted. My muffled scream only echoed through the dark alley. I felt my eyes shut tightly. "Let her go!" I heard the same person from earlier shout. My eyes shot open, attempting to see my potential savior. Bodies hitting the ground, grunts and running footsteps sounded. "Fight me!" My captor said. I whimpered, my wrists bruising from his grip. My savior agreed, causing me to be shoved at them. I felt them hug me quickly before returning to the fight. I stood back, watching them fight. Luckily, the guy who found me won.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I started crying, the emotions finally breaking me down. I fell to my knees and covered my face. "Hey, hey you're okay now.." He whispered, pulling me into him. I wrapped my arms around him, knowing that I could find friendly comfort in him. I sniffled and glanced up at him. He had blonde hair and brown eyes, and he was obviously British. "T-Thank you.." I mumbled, wiping my eyes. He shrugged."It's not a problem. Why don't I take you back to my house? It's not exactly safe out here.." I nodded, not wanting to go any further to catch a taxi. He helped me up and walked me to his house, which luckily, wasn't that far from where we were.

Inside, the man gave me a blanket and a cup of warm tea. He sat down next to me, drinking his tea as well. "Pardon my manners.. We haven't been properly introduced. I'm Grian." "Y/n.." I smiled, taking a sip. We sat on his couch, watching TV and making small conversations along the way. Around 1:30, I told Grian that I had to go. "Let me walk you home." He offered. I agreed because I was scared to be alone right now.

"Well, here we are.." I said. I hugged him and thanked him for walking me back."Yeah, no problem. Here's my number, if you need anything." "Thanks." I replied. Maybe there are some good people in this world.. I thought. But that thought shattered quickly. I felt Grian's lips crash into mine. I didn't move or do anything, the shock temporarily paralyzing me. Grian pulled away before blushing. "I'm sorry that uh... That was unexpected of me.." He rubbed his neck and waved goodbye before leaving, like nothing ever happened. I walked inside and slammed the door, sliding down it until I was on the floor. I covered my face with my hands. He kissed me?! I shook my head and walked upstairs, changing my clothes. I looked in the mirror. My tired and sore body was so weak looking. I sighed and went to bed, hopefully feeling better tomorrow.

I got up and got ready, skipping breakfast. I lost my appetite after remembering last night. I threw on one of Taurtis's flannel shirts, a pair of skinny jeans and boots. I grabbed the keys and headed back to the hospital.

"Hey y/n." Taurtis flashed me one of his genuine pearly smiles. It made me feel so much better. I took my usual seat next to his bed. "My buddy Grian told me he met you last night." I could feel my stomach twist. "I'm glad you're okay." He said. I nodded. "Yeah he fought some guys to help me." I admitted. "He's a good guy," Yeah, 'Good Guy' who kisses friends' girlfriends.."Luckily he found you." Taurtis leaned up to kiss me, but I turned away. He looked slightly hurt, but played it off. I couldn't tell him about Grian kissing me... I couldn't..

~A Few Days Later~

"Whats wrong y/n?" Taurtis sighed."Nothing." I said, taking a sip of my latte. We decided to take a walk, since Taurtis's issue had been temporarily solved. We stopped at a café to get some warm drinks and Taurtis brought up the topic I had been hoping to avoid. Ever since the Grian incident, I'd been dodging Taurtis's kisses. "Please don't lie.." I could hear his voice crack slightly. I threw away my cup, no longer able to be a distraction."Grian kissed me.." "What?""The night Grian took me home after saving me, he kissed me and then left me in shock." My own voice sounded like I was going to cry."Yet you didn't do anything about it?" His volume raised."I couldn't!" I protested, kind of offended."Well someone didn't tell me about it!" He shouted."Taurtis calm down! I can't talk to you when you're like this!" I argued."When I'm like what?! When I'm hurt and feeling betrayed that you cheated on me?!" I stopped. I just stared at him, feeling upset and hurt as well. "I didn't kiss him back!" I spat. Taurtis crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyes."But you didn't exactly fight back!" I closed my eyes. I could practically feel my blood boiling."Bye Taurtis." I hissed walking away. I caught a taxi to a hotel. I had so many things running through my mind. I knew what I was going to do.

Taurtis's POV

Ping!

I groaned and picked up my phone. I threw my phone onto the ground and stormed off.
