20. Rapunzel's Castle

"Everything was so cool!" I say, and my friends agree. Since we finished the main castle tour and had lunch at the balcony, we're going to Rapunzel's castle for a tour.

"Welcome to my sister's castle! Ollie, you already know because you're staying next to me, but my room is in this castle." A doorman opens the main castle doors for us. Raz and a girl that looks a couple years younger than her are waiting for us.

"Welcome to my castle!" Raz says.

"Thank you!"

"Hi, I'm Camille, Princess Rapunzel's lady-in-waiting! I am Annalyse and Emmerlyn's oldest sister."

"Hey Camille!" I say, and Camille waves.

"Hey sis!" Emmerlyn says.

"Oh, hey Emmie! you're here too!"

"Yeah, and so is Annalyse!" Annalyse waves from the back.

"Hey Anna!" Camille says, and I freeze. I realize Camille is talking to her sister, but my mind immediately jumps to mine.

"Time for a tour!" Raz says. "My castle isn't as big as the main one, so the tour won't take very long."

The grand foyer has the same white/gold marble floor that is everywhere in Royal Manor. The walls are painted a very light lavender color, and the interior of the castle is decorated with a medley of many different types of purple flowers. There are hair care ads all around.

"It smells lovely in here!" AG says.

"I love the modern chandelier." Jocelyn says.

"It is nice, isn't it? Let's go up the grand staircase to my room." Raz says.

After showing us the balcony, dining room, and guest room, we reach Rapunzel's room.

"Well, this is it!" Raz declares.

"It's huge!" I notice. There is a queen sized bed with a lavender quilt and probably ten pillows.

"Oh look, there's us!" Maxine says, and points to a framed photo of the Royal Ladies in Waiting club on the wall. There's also a picture of Jax with Rapunzel at a ball.

Her room is completely spotless and smells like lavender. A large mirror and fireplace sit across from the bed. On the right, there is a bathroom just like in the guest room, though it is meant for one person instead of six.

"I love your room!" Maxine says.

"I do too! But you know what I like even better?" Raz asks.

"The hair care shop!!" Kayla exclaims.

"You got it, let's go!" Raz says.

"Ollie and I will hang out in my room while you go do the girly stuff." Jax says.

"Come on Jax, I know you use a Rapunzel hair comb to brush out your hair every single day." I tease, and Jax rolls his eyes.

"And how do you know that?"

"Well, look at your hair. Immaculate. No tangles in sight."

Jax runs his hand through his hair. "Whatever. I'll see you at the main castle for dinner." He watches me until I leave.

We follow Raz down the stairs and across the hall.

A large sign hangs above the fancy double doors.

Princess Rapunzel's Hair Care Shop!

"Welcome to the salon!" Rapunzel announces.

"Yay, yay, yay!!" Kayla celebrates. I know she's the most excited out of the group.

I've never been to Rapunzel's hair care shop before. There are more hair care ads on the walls than I have ever seen in one place. There's one hair wash station, and two chairs for hair styling. The rest of the room is full of shelves that house hair care products.

"Go make a line!" Raz says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"You each get a basket to fill. Start at the shampoos and go down the line!" Raz says excitedly, and hands us each a basket.

The baskets have a purple ribbon tied onto the handle with a Rapunzel Hair Care business card attached.

"I'll go first!" Kayla says, and heads over to the shampoo.

When it's my turn, I look at the wide selection of shampoos. There's one section for straight hair, one for wavy, one for curly, and one for coily. I take two different scents of shampoo for curly hair.

AG is right behind me. "Ooh, there are such good options!" She says.

"There are!" I agree. Next is conditioner. I take magnolia, lilac, and jasmine.

Maxine is at the hair perfume section ahead of me. "Ooh, huckleberry hair perfume? Yes please!" Maxine places a bottle into her basket. She moves to the next shelf and I go to the hair perfume section. The perfumes are in small bottles, so I take a few different scents. Magnolia, white snapdragon, and lilac.

"Activated charcoal shampoo for straight hair? Umm, yeah!" Jocelyn says.

Next are hair sprays and curl mousses (for styling). I take one bottle of curl mousse and one bottle of hairspray. After, I grab a container of hydrating aloe hair mask, a bottle of detangler, and some shine spray.

"It's time for accessories!!" Kayla says.

"You can each take one Rapunzel hair brush." Raz says.

"Yay! I'm taking this pretty light blue one! I already have a Rapunzel hair brush back in our room (it's the only one I use!), but I can definitely use another!! These hair brushes work so well!" Kayla says.

"That's what I designed them for!" Raz says. I take two packs of ten hair ribbons, because I only have-what, three left (Peaches ate some of mine, and I lost some)? I also grab a purple marble hair brush. If Anna found out about this, she would be so jealous.

My basket is full of mini bottles, fancy containers, and lots of hair accessories.

"Thank you so much, Raz!" Maxine says.

"Yes, thank you!" Kayla and I say.

"Of course! I knew you girls could use some hair products this week; especially for Wednesday's ball."

"Done!" Jocelyn says. "Rapunzel, I really admire your line of activated charcoal products. They work wonders on my hair and enhance the jet black color."

"Thank you, Jocelyn! I'm glad you love them. Did you girls have fun?

"Yes!! I love all the different scent options."

"Good! Yes, I love offering a variety of scents to please everyone's varying tastes." Raz says.

"Thank you, Princess Rapunzel, Royal Manor assistants can always use some Rapunzel Hair Care products too!" Emmerlyn says.

"Same here, thank you!" Annalyse and Camille say.

"Of course!" Raz says. "It'll be time for dinner soon, so you guys should head back to the main castle. It was great having you! I should see you tomorrow or definitely Wednesday."

"Alright. Let's go meet Jax and Ollie for dinner." Maxine says.
