Chaerin's POV

"I'm here!" I said as I entered the palace

"Did you had a date with Sungho?" Kyungmi asked as she helped me carry the groceries "Thanks"

"Date? I didn't had a date with him. He helped me do the groceries"

"I see" Kyungmi

"Is there anything I can help you all with?"

"No, we're fine. Just go and take a rest" Kyungmi said and went to the kitchen

I didn't really went on a date with Sungho. Why would I go on a date with him? I mean he is my bestfriend and would never be my lover. I would never risk our friendship just to be in a relationship with him. I went to Heiran's room and knocked on the door.

"Yes?" Heiran answered and opened the door "Oh, Chaerin"

"Are you busy? I am bored"

"Not really. I was just ironing the clothes of the prince" Heiran

"Can I come in?"

"Sure" she said and opened the door widely for me "The prince found out that you are on a date"

I entered her room and sat on the bed "Date? With Sungho? No way and how did the prince knew? Did he went home?"

"No, someone told him" Heiran said and continued ironing the clothes of the prince

"Can you tell me something about the prince?"

"The prince grew up with a golden spoon in his mouth. Everything he do is being broadcasted to the world. He can't go out and play normally like s child. He grew up learning things that a prince should do or learn. He learned a lot of things in such a young age. He never experienced having fun like normal teenager" Heiran

"What is he like?"

"He is a nice guy who is very quiet. We never complained anything about him because he is really nice and we couldn't ask for more. I mean who would imagine? A prince of seoul is really nice in person and off camera" Heiran

"May I ask where the Queen is?"

She looked away "You shouldn't ask about the Queen's whereabouts, even the prince doesn't know. It's only Kyungmi, the King's assistant and the King knows where she is. I saw her once but that was years ago" she sighed and stopped ironing the clothes "The prince longs for his Mother. He last saw him when he was young. It was announced that the Queen is dead but some says that the Queen left for good. We don't know the real reason but we are hoping that the prince will reunite with his Mom one day. He is really close to the Queen and can't sleep without her. That explains why he is having a hard time sleeping at night"

"I feel bad for the prince"

"You shouldn't be. It's not like someone wanted that to happen. Who knows? One day the Queen will come back" Heiran

"If the Queen came back, I will.be happy for the prince"

"Me too" Heiran

The prince is having a hard time everyday and everynight. No one knows what he is feeling, only his Mother knows what he is feeling.

I feel really bad for him.

"You should eat lunch" Heiran told me as she saw me

"I'm not hungry. I will just clean the prince's room, since you said I am the only one allowed to enter"

"But you have to eat lunch later" Heiran

I nodded and took the cleaning materials as I went upstairs. I got in the prince's room and looked at the big room. How come this big room owns by one person only? I mean in the Love Orphanage this room has 12 people in it. We are sleeping on a double deck. The girls and boys are separated from each other.

"This room doesn't have a picture of the prince as well"

I started sweeping the floor first, every corner needs to be cleaned. I wiped the wall, windows, knobs and anything that can be seen here. I mopped the floor as well and made sure it will shine bright as the stars. It feels like the prince is a sensitive person. I can't mess up with the job he gave me. 

I changed his curtains, bed sheets, pillow sheets and blanket. I also took the laundry from his bathroom and changed his body towel and face towel.

Unknown number calling...

"Hello? Who is this?"

[This is the King's assistant]

"Y-Yes? Hello. I didn't-"

[May I know why the prince didn't showed up in his schedules?]

"Huh? He didn't? Ah-"

[Is he with you?]

"No, he is not. They said he went out on a vacation. I was also shocked why he didn't brought me with him. I thought he is not aware that I am his personal assistant"

[He didn't say anything to you?]

"No, he didn't. I was also confused-"

[Don't tell anyone that I called you. I'll call you again]

"Yes-"

He suddenly ended the call.

What is happening? The King doesn't know that his own son is on a vacation break? What is this drama?

"Chaerin" Kyungmi called

"Yes?"

"Why are you still standing there?" Kyungmi

"Kyungmi, did the prince really went on a vacation?"

She nodded "He did. Why?"

"Nothing"

"Alright. Go on and eat lunch. I'll continue this" Kyungmi said

I nodded and left the prince's room.

Why did the King's assistant told me not to tell anyone that he called me? Is something happening?

Did the prince left for good?!
