One Chance?

Keifer's POV

I'm not going to fuck up things this time, will hold you tightly and keep you with me for lifetime even for upcoming births, "give me a last chance Jay! please I beg you", my eyes couldn't hold more but tears rolled down, "you're crying there, I' m crying there.... Jay why are we suffering like this, why don't we just sort it out".

I continued but my voice was heavy, "I'm nothing without you Jay, nothing... it's been two years since that black day of our life, it's your birthday only and today it's as well. I'll never let you suffer, I promise... I won't hurt you, never ever".

I tightens my grip on her hands, "I know it's not that easy but trust me it's only you whom I love, then, now and forever", she was looking into my eyes and blinked so that the tears can fall off her eyes, "I know things are not in my control but Jay I'll make sure you don't have to deal with that alone but you'll find me standing by your side, every fucking time".

I took my face close to her, "just one chance, don't give up on me Jay! please", she didn't respond but stayed still and I couldn't hold more, "your lips are so glossy and mine need to get moisturised", before she can react I just pressed my lips against hers, those soft treats for my taste buds, ahh... I missed this and the way she joined me like she was also longing for this.

As I pulled her close by her waist and made her sit on my bed, her hands tangled into my hairs, we're breathing into each others yap, though my injured hands hurt but our closeness was remedy to this, "ouch", I groaned as she bit my lips, fuck it's bleeding, "how can you force me into a kiss?", she yelled.

I smirked, "you didn't resist", and I pointed at my bleeding lip, "see what you did?", she knits her brows, "that's your reward. Karma hits hard", and she literally smiled at her own mischievousness.

"You're so rude", I complained and she just showed her tongue. Damn this girl, how can she control a man like me, but she does cause I'm crazily in love with her.

The doctor paid a visit, "how're you feeling..?", he stopped in mid sentence and observed my face, "wait... how come your lips got injured, did glass make a cut? but it wasn't before".

I looked at Jay and she suppressed her smile while binding her lips but her eyes were shining like she's so proud of it, "it's just I peeled off dead skin". The doctor nodded, and did a brief check up, "please take good care of your husband", he said while looking at Jay and left.

I can see her ears turning red, as the door closed behind the doctor "take care of your husband", I said while calling her to sit just beside me, "you've to just be with me for that and I'll recover all by myself", and we had a great eye lock.

Jay coughed, "but I have to leave now. Aries must be waiting", I cut her off, "and what if your husband needs you more", she snorted, "just shut up, you're not my husband".

I smirked, "I'm... and you're my wife and mother of my future kids", she looked at me with wide eyes but I needed to make sure that I remembered everything, "and we planned to make a cricket team, with one benched player".

Her ears turned red, "you... I've never seen such a shameless man as you in my life, a complete jerk and just daydreaming every time even in my dreams", I nodded, "so you dreamt about me, and about kids. Wow, or something like wet dreams", she hits on my arms, "you're impossible".

I smirked, "it's future planning", she furrowed her brows, "we don't even have an idea of the present and you... talking about the future. I'm sleepy.

" And I'm staying here because of humanity, not because of you, I already informed Aries Keiran was tired so we're staying in a nearby hotel, "just tell him the truth", she didn't hesitate in saying, "you want to die in your 20s?".

I sealed my lips and realised yes, after all apart from friendship he's Jay's protective cousin and what I've done, ughh it's gonna take an eternity to convince my friend to become my brother-in-law.

I took a deep breath and shifted a bit, "come and sleep here", but she rolled her eyes and clearly rejecting my offer, "there's a couch", but I tried stopping her, "it's not like we've not shared bed before I mean you used to stay at my home", she clenched her jaws, "just shut your fucking mouth", I pulled her, "profanity! once again", she pushed me and put the blanket on my face, "just sleep" and when I removed it she was already on the couch..

My wifey is the cutest, even if she's angry I love her, God please end all the distances in between us. I took out my phone and called "just take out the cctv footage of the location I just sent, and get the fucking information of car which hit my girl's car", I'm not sure but if it's the same person I'm assuming, it's over for you.

I fell asleep soon but my eyes opened up in midnight, looked around to see Jay she was just in a thin quilt so I just turned off the AC and covered her in my blanket, "when I last saw you sleeping, I asked you to trust me and wait for me and unfortunately it's been two years I'm still begging you to stay but that time I was weak but now I'm strong and will never leave but I'm here to stand with you.

I caressed her hair, she shifts a bit and turns her face towards me, "how can someone be this much beautiful, not a single moment made me feel like there's someone else whom I can love. and it's the same for you right? that's why you kept waiting and searching for me".

"Yk I didn't stop writing, and whenever I missed you I wrote something for you Jay and once we get settled I'll keep private concerts everyday, grand dates and yes I've already bought an island for us to stay from this chaos.

Me and you.... and yes our kids too", I literally blushed after thinking about upcoming life, I held her hands and kissed them, "it's said that whenever light is yet to enter there's complete darkness, and the darkness is going to wither and our next day will be too bright".

Jay's POV

The morning is good and it's after a long time that i didn't wake up with a headache.. is it because of... and my eyes went on Keifer sleeping by keeping my legs in his lap, there was a slight smile on his face, "why is he here?".

I sat properly, and adored that face, "it's been years I've seen you from this close", I rubbed my fingers on his nose, "look at your dark circles, no girl is going to marry you", and I felt a touch, and his hands were wrapped around my waist, "I don't care but you'll", and he pulled me, "fuck", I screamed.

He smirked, "aha, profanity in the morning, maybe someone wants a morning kiss", I tried to get off his grip but he pulled me into his lap, "Keiferrr! your hands are injured, behave". he removed the bang coming on her face, "so worried about my injuries not the way we're sitting", I hit his chest, "jerk, leave me". But he's in no mood of letting me go but he just closed his eyes and leaned on me, "I need rest".

Maybe that bite on lips was not enough for him, he needed more, "don't move too much, it hurts", he got the audacity to rant, I sneered, "so just let me go", he denied, "it'll be more painful".

And soon my phone rang, "Aries! I'll be back in half an hour", and that jerk, "uff Jay, you've become so thin like you weight nothing", I muted the phone, "the hell are you doing", he smirked, "preparing them".

I tried to get off, but only his hold become tight, "Jay? Are you with someone?", Aries asked, I unmute the call, "yes.. maybe some cross connection.. I'll call you later", I hung up, and he's grinning, "fuck you", he smirked, "early in the morning, I don't mind".

I kicked on his legs and got up, "you're being too much", he groaned, "and the way you keep hitting me, it might become a case of domestic violence after our marriage".

"Marriage in your dreams", I was frustrated, but his expressions become serious, "I'm not kidding, Jay can't you give me one more chance, just one more".

I felt his words, "how can I trust you again?", he got up and held me from shoulders, "I've told you everything Jay! And if you believe me being alive when everyone thought I was no more than why not this time. I swear on my mom, I'll not hurt you".

He's swearing over her mom, the one he love the most, should I trust him, again really? But I'm afraid, of being broken again but he's already stuck and protected me in the shadows maybe I can.. one more time we can hold hands and get each other.

"I need time", I backed off and his phone rang, "sir your brothers are asking about you and ma'am", his manager was on call, he told them he'll arrive soon.

The doctor agreed for discharge, Keifer was in washroom and his phone buzzed, I don't want to see but it reflected paternity test, j could control but took his phone but it's locked. Keifer soon came and took his phone, "ig report of paternity test is here".

He looked at phone screen, "oh yes, but you still wanna see. Wait", my heart knows it will be negative but I want to see, and he unlocked his phone and gave to me, I smiled and saw it, Ivy and Keifer, DNA match, and my hold on phone became loose but Keifer held it, "what's with this expression?".

He himself looked at phone, "positive? But how's this possible", he turns towards me, "Jay it's not..", I cut him off, "this is not shocking for me anyways, I'm already used to your lies and here one more", and I turns to leave, "someone might have forged the reports, I swear Jay this all is not true".

I stopped him, " I'm just a fool who believed in your words, just call Keigan and Keiran, ask them to come here". I don't want to go at his place yet, he didn't force but did as I said.

He was explaining himself, but I had something else in my mind, "please stop it Keifer, I want peace. Just handle your issues and let me go".

He held my hand, "Jay.." , I get off his hold, and his brothers arrived, and we head back to our hotel, I was silent all the way, but Keigan and Keiran were happy and I didn't want their happiness to get spoil, so I behaved normal, at least they're getting their brother back.

I dropped them at the hotel, freshened up and headed towards a place, where I could get all the answers. "What do you think? All this can work?", I smirked.
