Chapter Seven – Home Sweet Home

Eden

Me and Stella show our boarding passes to the airhostess and she guides us towards our seats.

“I’m having the window seat, Stella.” I informed her.

“No I am.” Stella argued.

“I am. See I picked up the whole luggage okay, so I deserve this.” I said.

I really deserved to sit there.

I know I am acting like a child right now but who doesn’t like to sit at the window seat.

“Ugh.” Stella whined and gave me a glare.

I just innocently smiled.

I adjusted myself at the seat and Stella sat near me.

“Everybody please fasten your seatbelts and kindly switch off your mobile phones, we are about to take off.” The airhostess informed.

Before switching off my phone, I sent a message to my mom that we were about to take off.

“Mam please switch off your phone.” The airhostess told me.

“Yeah.” I smiled and kept my phone in my handbag.

“This going to be a long ride.” Stella said.

“Yeah. I’m bored.” I groaned.

“Watch a movie because that’s what I am going to do.” Stella said and wore the headphones.

I wore the headphones that were provided and switched on the screen in front of me.

“Ugh what songs do they have?” I mumbled to myself.

Going through the music video list, they were some pretty good songs.

Call Me Maybe- Carly Rae Jepsen

Started From The Bottom- Drake

Where Have You Been- Rihanna

Boyfriend- Justin Bieber

Thrift Shop- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Girlfriend- Avril Lavigne

Why do they have his songs?

Yeah of course they will have his songs since he is a Canadian artist and hello we are going to Canada.

Great.

I tap on the “Call Me Maybe” music video and it began to play.

“Hey I just met you and this is crazy but here’s my number so call me maybe..” I sang and watched the video.

“Eden! Low down your voice. People are hearing you.” Stella scolded.

“Oops.” I stuck out my tongue.

Since it was on shuffle, the next music video was of Avril’s “Girlfriend”. Oh! How I love this song. Avril was literally the best.

Lowing down my voice, I sang the song.

After the “Girlfriend” music video was over, a familiar tune started in my headphones.

Boyfriend

I actually like his songs but that doesn’t change the fact that he had hurt me and that we aren’t friends anymore.

Justin’s “Boyfriend” video started and him singing the song in the starting and girl’s hands were around him.

The video suddenly stopped and started again.

Ugh!

I was finally getting in the mood of the song but it started again. Damn.

Impressed by the video, I started going through the list of movies.

The whole time I saw Stella smirking at me when I was watching Justin’s music video and singing along. She is creepy sometimes.

The list of movies was so amazing.

I really loved the movies, “Another Cinderella Story” and “High School Musical”. My childhood.

Wait was there “Never Say Never”?

The one where Justin shows how he performed at the Madison Square Garden and the one where Ryan and Chaz are there.

I had watched this movie with Stella. She had basically forced me to watch it with her because she wanted to see her friend.

I’m not going to lie but I kind of cried during the movie and I literally felt like a proud mother.

And seeing Ryan and Chaz bought all those good memories. I have been in contact with them since I had left Stratford.

Why do I sound so fucking dumb right now?

Shrugging off these thoughts, I tap on High School Musical 3 and the movie starts.

I love Zac Efron. My crush forever.

By the time Stella was already asleep and still there were headphones on her ears. Silly girl.

Removing the headphones from Stella’s ears, I switched off the screen in front of her.

Halfway through the movie, the airhostess had served us the food and I had to wake up Stella for 10 minutes.

She was finally awake.

The food was good but not so good.

Sighing, I went back to watch the movie that was paused and drank my coke.

Stella was watching “The Princess Diaries” now and I absolutely, t-totally loved that movie.

I sound like a kid right now.

Who cares!

“Attention Passengers! Please fasten your seatbelts, we are about to land.” The airhostess informed us.

I wore the headphones because my ears always pain when the flight lands. The pain is unbearable.

The plane had landed and we were picking up our luggage and keeping it on the trolly.

“Ah! The smell of Canada,” Stella admired.

I giggled and kept my bags in my trolley.

We went outside and saw a person holding a sign,

Ms. Eden and Ms. Stella.

Recognizing  our names, I and Stella went towards that person.

“Hi, Mr. Adams?” I greeted.

“Yeah that’s right. Come with me.” Mr. Adams said and we followed him towards his car.

I was dead sleepy now.

Mr. Adam kept the luggage in his car’s trunk.

“I hope the flight was good.” Mr. Adams smiled.

“Yeah it was.” Stella answered and we smiled.

My phone rang and it was from mom,

“Hey mom!” I greeted her.

“Hey sweetie. You and Stella landed? Did you meet Mr. Adams? How was your flight?”

“Mom breathe,” I laughed. “Yes, yes and yes.” I answered all of her questions.

“Good. Now give the phone to Mr. Adams for a second.”

I followed her order and gave the phone to Mr. Adams.

They talked for a few seconds and he handed the phone back to me.

“Honey! I can’t wait to see you. Come fast and say Stella I said ‘hi’.”

“I can’t wait to see you too mom. Why don’t you talk to her?” I grinned.

Handing the phone to Stella, she grinned and I looked outside from the car’s window.

Stella and mom always had a good relationship. Sometimes it looked like she was her daughter and not me. Same goes with Stella’s mom. Stella’s mom is literally the best person ever.

Stella smiled and handed me my phone and I talked to my mom once again,

“Okay sweetie. Take care and I love you too. Bye.”

“I love you too mom and bye.” I said and presses the ‘end’ button.

By the time, Stella called her mom and informed her that we had reached Canada and I talked to her mother.

1 Hour Later

“We are here.” Mr. Adams said.

I flipped my eyes open and saw my house.

I was finally here.

Me and Stella quickly got out from the car and ran the doorbell.

I was greeted by mom’s smiling face.

“Mom!” I yelled in excitement and I hugged her. Stella came from behind and then the 3 of us were in a big.

Feels good to be back at my home sweet home.
