Yakushima Plans Part Seven: The servant
15:24, 16 February 2020The room was big. Big was in understatement. It was HUGE! There was a big king size bed in the middle, and at the side, there was a big tv, with a couch in front of it. There was even a mini fridge in here. There was an archway leading somewhere, so I decided to explore the room that I was in. There was a small hallway and then there was a door. I went through it and found that it was a bathroom. There was a toilet and then there was a dresser at the end. Then next to the dresser, was a glass sliding door. It led to a separate room. There was a two in one shower and bathtub. There was a small jacuzzi in the corner too. There was even towels and toiletries there. Is this a mansion or a hotel?I decided to get comfy a bit and freshened up in the bathroom. I took a nice steamy shower and decided to watch some tv. There was some fighting tournament that was on air when someone knocked on the bedroom door. I opened it to find the servant from before. "Miss, lunch is ready," she said. "It's served at the dining hall, downstairs.""Oh great," I said. "Thanks, Miss?""Just call me Merisa," said the servant shyly, leading the way to the dining hall. "Are you by any chance related to Miss Nina's new friend? You look just like her.""Yes I am," I said, walking with her. "She's my daughter. By the way, how did you know her?""Oh it's a long story really," said Merisa, looking nervous. "Let's just say, she caught me doing something bad. The cleaning agency fired me, and Master Lee hired me as one of his servants instead...""Okay then," I said. I don't know what Shasha caught her doing, but I'm guessing it's pretty bad, considering that she got fired because of it. "So is Lee awake? I noticed that he fell asleep on the couch when I arrived...""Oh yes, he is," said Merisa. "He's waiting for you at the dining hall."We arrived at a very grand dining hall, fit for maybe thirty people to dine at the same time. Lee was sitting on one of the chairs, looking at his phone. He looked up when he saw me."Ah I see you've freshened up," he said. "Excellent. Merisa, bring in the lunch.""So how are you now?" I asked, sitting on the chair opposite from him. "I know you must be tired after that long flight, especially since you had to fly from here to Malaysia and back...""Yes I was," said Lee. "But I feel better now."Merisa brought in the food and served for us. The lunch looked good. It was nachos with cheese dip as the appetiser, lasagna for the main course, and chocolate soufflé for dessert. I wonder how I can eat this much...We started eating and something came to my mind. Lee asked me to give him an idea to impress Anna."Lee you wanted to impress Anna right?" I asked and he nodded. "Do you know what she likes?""No not really," said Lee, regretfully. "Because whenever we meet, it's either in the tournament, or for a fight, which kinda is the same thing. So after the fight is over, either she will sit on me and laugh if she wins, or that she'll stomp away if I win...""You haven't really talked to her much huh..." I said and he nodded. "Well I think I might have gotten something when I was at the Zaibatsu place earlier today.""Really?" he asked. "What did you get?""Well she was showing Nina something on her phone," I said. "It was apparently a musical poster, that's being performed after we come back from Yakushima. She said that the musical played pop and rock songs instead of classical. Nina didn't look impressed and said that she can play the song herself at home. Anna said she'd go herself. Oh and she mentioned that she wants to hear something like Snow Castle being played.""Snow Castle?" asked Lee, confused. Then his face brightened up. "Ah so she likes musical concerts, huh? Well I have the perfect plan. Thanks for the info, by the way.""You're welcomed," I said. "So what are you gonna do?""Just wait and see," said Lee. "By the way, after the tournament tomorrow, you'll be leaving for Yakushima. So I don't suggest you unpack much. The journey to Yakushima isn't that long, anyway. It's only about an hour. You'll be going via one of the Zaibatsu helicopters.""Alright," I said. "Thanks again, Lee. I couldn't thank you enough. Where's the tournament being held anyway?""In random places," said Lee. "Don't worry, a Zaibatsu car will take the contestants to the places that they have to go. You'll be going with Anna, since she actually wants to watch Shasha fight in the tournament. Nina wants to go watch her son, except for the first match.""Okay," I said. "They must be really nice people, considering they actually did this for my daughter...""Yes they are," said Lee. "But they used to fly at each other like cats and mice...""So what are you gonna do today?" I asked. "You must still be tired after flying the plane...""Yes I am," said Lee. "I'm gonna relax today. Feel free to do whatever you want. Go to the pool, go to the arcade, go to the library, just knock yourself out.""I think I'll go to the library," I said. "Maybe I'll read some books or just sit around with my laptop.""I'll just be in my room if you need me," said Lee, finishing his lunch. "Goodbye!"He went up to his room. I finished my lunch too and Merisa came. "Can you show me to the library?" I asked her. "I wanna spend some time there.""Sure, Miss," she said and led the way. "It's on the third floor.""Wait I need to get my laptop first," I said. "It's in my bedroom."She followed me to my bedroom because I needed to get my laptop and then led me to the library. The library was huge. It had two sections, with about twenty computers on each side. The other had bookshelves lining each wall and there were big tables and chairs in the middle. The tables had power outlets on them, so I didn't really have to worry about charging anything. So I sat on one of the tables and started using my computer. Merisa sat with me too, with a book. Wonder what she was caught doing... I decided to ask her.
