"we need to switch the horcruxes, so i need to drink this potion to get it," regulus tells the terrified girl.

"i'll drink it-"

"no you won't, i will liz, and if i'm in danger, just run."

"if you expect me to that, you're crazy."

"please elizabeth! listen to me! if i'm in danger, i want you and kreacher to go! after i drink this, you get the locket and run, don't worry i'll be safe," he tells them "kreacher, you must apparate, and take elizabeth with you."

"okay, but if anything happens, i love you regulus - more than i have ever loved anyone in my entire life, more than i will ever love anyone," she says, with a tear falling down her face.

"i love you."

she knew both of them couldn't make it out alive. although she'd rather die, than live without regulus, she wanted to listen to him.

she looked at regulus, giving him a hug, hoping it wouldn't be their last. he hugs her back like he was never going to see her again.

he begins to drink the potion, she watches him. how could she let another person be in danger for her? even though, she could see he was in pain, he continued to drink the potion.

please be okay? regulus, please? she thought to herself.

he continued to drink it, until he finished. elizabeth grabbed the locket like regulus had ordered her to do, and kreacher about to give him the water, when something grabbed his foot.

elizabeth's heart sunk. it was inferis. she knew at that moment, that regulus wasn't going to come out of that cave alive.

"elizabeth come here!" kreacher shouted out, and she grabbed onto him as he apparated out of the cave.

a distraught elizabeth and kreacher stood on grass. she stood frozen.

regulus was gone, he was never coming back.

why? why did this have to happen? regulus was her best friend - the boy she was in love with, and he's gone?

kreacher walked over to the paralysed girl, he grabbed onto her leg, as if to hug her.

"kreacher, please can you apparate me back to jo's house?" she asks him softly.

he grabs a hold of her, and apparates once more. she thanks him, and gives him the locket, whilst walking away with an empty feeling. elizabeth felt as if her life could never go on, a void that could never be filled by anyone because she knew that she could never like anyone like she loved him - and no one could ever love her like he did.

she walks into the house, and sees her three friends and jo sitting at the table eating.

they immediately turned around. luke jumped up knowing exactly what happened. this is how she looked when she came back with brady.

"he's- he's dead," elizabeth tells them, she remembered the last time she had gotten her heartbroken, maybe not exactly like this, but it hurt.

"i'm sorry, liz, i really like you, but maybe we shouldn't do this, i think you should go back to living your life, instead of helping me," remus tells elizabeth.

"excuse me, but i care what happens to you just as much as james, sirius and peter do," she says back to him.

"i know, but i don't want you to get injured, you're very talented, and very smart, and you've helped a lot with the full moons, and i will forever be grateful, but please let me do something for you."

"remus, i'm not going to beg, even if you think you are, you're not doing me any favours."

"liz, please listen to me, i need you to stop doing this for me."

thomas attempts to get out of his chair, but he couldn't believe that news. his best friend couldn't be gone. loren walks over to him, and sits in the chair next to him, she hugs thomas.

luke went over to elizabeth, kissed her forehead, and hugged her, "liz, i am so sorry."

the four teenagers, who were once kids with light in their eyes, and an innocent smile, hugged each other - mourning for someone who was once their best friend.
