12:26, 4 January 2021it seemed thomas, freaking, johnson knew elizabeth better than those girls who were suppose to be her friends.
"you know what, luke and i will come, won't we?" she says.
luke stares right at her for a second before agreeing, "yes you will definitely see elizabeth potter and i, luke meyer, at a party."
thomas turns back around to the front after hearing what he wanted to.
elizabeth knew the real reason why thomas wanted her to go, him and luke had a little thing going on. she could tell that they liked each other, they just had a shit way of showing it.
luke was constantly making out with girls as a front to convince everyone he was straight. he grew up in a homophobic home, and couldn't possibly let his brother or anyone see him with thomas.
she nudged him, "you know what that was right?" she whispered.
"nope," luke said forcing a confused expression on his face.
"i know when you're lying, luke, you do the same expression every time," she looks at him, and notices the way he always avoids eye contact, and does that cheeky but gorgeous smile, that elizabeth, in no way, felt attracted to.
but what she also saw, was the way luke acted around thomas. more snappy, which meant he felt anxious; elizabeth had learnt that over the years.
luke then looked at elizabeth, but didn't say anything because professor mcgonagall had begun talking.

classes were over for the day, and had a bit of spare time.
luke, elizabeth and brady sat in the library talking quietly in an isle, when thomas comes in on his own. they rarely ever saw him on his own.
"oooh, look mr popular just walked into the library," brady says. "why luke?"
"i have no idea."
elizabeth knew he wasn't lying, he really was confused.
"he never comes to the library, no one does this time," elizabeth whispered.
"yeah that's why it's so great," brady says.
luke, brady and elizabeth watched the lonely boy walk around the library, running his hand across the shelf. taking a short glance at each one.
as he continued walking, he got closer to the trio, until he got to their isle.
elizabeth saw her friend start wriggling in his chair anxiously.
when thomas reached their isle, he jumped out of surprise.
"scared, are you johnson?" luke asks, standing up. "sneaking around the library, clearly not wanting anyone to see you."
"i-"
"it's classic behaviours, jumping when you saw us, the sneaking around quietly," he says.
"i like to pick a book in silence, and alone."
"nice try thomas, what book were you really trying to look for?" he asked.
"what happened to you meyer? getting a little snappy, are we?" thomas finally answers confidently. "you're never like this with your friends."
luke keeps eye contact with him, with a stone cold face.
they stare at each other for what seems like a while.
"right then, i will see you after dinner, you know the party," he says walking away. elizabeth watches as thomas walks past and slides something into luke's pocket. the two boys hold eye contact while he's walking past.
thomas then leaves the library.
"yeah, erm, luke, i think he did what he wanted," brady smirked. "what does it say?"
luke reaches into his pocket, and reads it. elizabeth and brady look over his shoulder.
meet me outside the common room before the party starts. i need to talk to you, and you can bring a friend if you like.
he smiles at the note.
the other two stood there smiling in hopes he'll finally say it out loud to them.
"let's go, the feast is going to start soon," luke says.
they groan, and begin to tease him. _____
regulus sees thomas walk in.
"so how did it go?" he asked him immediately, knowing about the note.
thomas had told regulus about his feelings for luke, more than once.
"i think good, i gave him the note," he smiles. "i never pictured my best friend liking the boy i like's best friend, but i'm not complaining."
regulus laughs.

regulus and thomas were waiting outside of the common room, when the portrait hole opens, and the people they wanted to see came out; luke and elizabeth.
regulus looks at the girl and the boy who were walking towards them.
he could tell elizabeth didn't know where to look.
"luke."
"thomas."
they both still kept a glare at each other.
"come over here," thomas said to luke trying to get him away, so he could talk to him.
the two boys walked away leaving the other two standing on their own.
what am i suppose to say? regulus thought to himself before she says something.
"wanna go in? i think luke and thomas are just fine," elizabeth looks over them talking.
the way thomas was standing; he could tell he was happy. he heard what he wanted.
"y-yeah," regulus says. they walk over to the portrait, and elizabeth said the password.
