Chapter 24: Wedding Day pt. 1

Harry POV:

Today was the day, the day that would change everything. Today I was marrying the love of my life, my Niall.  I couldn’t wait to see him walk down the aisle. I was standing at altar just waiting. Liam and Lou in between Zayn and I, all in black tuxedo’s with olive and crème. Everyone was seated in the vineyard and everyone was talking Zayn’s, Perrie’s, Niall’s and my family were all sitting in the front row. Nialls mom was crying sitting next to Leila and her swollen belly. Leila had gotten pregnant about four months ago and her and Greg were getting married in January, the day after new years.

When the music started I lost it, the sound of the organ, knowing Niall would be walking up shortly. I look back to the front row to see Maura gone, she had gone to walk Niall. He was first up, the white curtains opened from the tent. His suit was perfectly fitting and clean cut. His hair was styled into a quaff off the side, his blue eyes twinkling in the sunlight.

When stepped foot on the walkway I put my hand over my mouth to cover the muffled sounds I was making. He looked absolutely amazing.

“Who gives this man away to be wed?” asks the minister.

“We do” Greg and Maura said both looking at Niall lovingly.

“Niall please come and stand towards Harry so we can start the first half of the ceremony.”

All I could think about was those two words, the ones that will bind us together forever. The minister went through all the normal wedding sayings asking us both to repeat after him. Then he got to my favorite part.

“Do you Harry Edward Styles take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do” I say seeing Niall smile the biggest smile I have ever seen on his face.

“Now do you Niall James Horan take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do.”

“By the power vested in me I now pronounce you man and husband, you man now kiss each other.”

Instead of the normal lovey dovey kissed you see in movies, I grab Niall by the collar, pull him over as he trips over his feet, I wrap my hand around his head, I pull him in, and I kiss him like the first time.

Niall POV:

“You ready?”

I turn around to see my mom at the door of my tent, waiting for me to come out.

“Yes, I have never been more ready.”

We walk onto the path, my mom on my right side, our arms linked together to make sure I would fall. I was bound to stumble some point today, I was the biggest klutz I knew.

 When we get to the end of the path I never kept my gaze off of Harry. He looked so handsome in his suit, his curls ruffled to the side to keep them a bit more kempt.

The minister gestured to everyone while he said “please rise.”

“Who gives this man away to be wed?” asks the minister.

“We do” Greg and Mom said, smiling back at me.

“Niall please come and stand towards Harry so we can start the first half of the ceremony.”

I just stood there, hand in hand with Harry repeating every word that he said.

“To have and to hold for better or for worse.”

Now it was time, time to wrap our part up, I glanced down at my shoes then up into Harry’s radiant green eyes, in a few short minutes he would be my husband.

“Do you Harry Edward Styles take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do” I smile so big when he says that, I didn’t care how goofy I looked, I was the happiest person here.

“Now do you Niall James Horan take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do” Why would I even have to think about that?

“By the power vested in me I now pronounce you man and husband, you man now kiss each other.”

Harry stared deep into my eyes then yanked me by the collar, taking me by surprise. He caressed my head into his hand then leaned in closer. He put his lips to mine, I savored this moment with every part of my being, this was like falling in love all over again.
