chapter 7 | Sweetheart

20:20, 1 November 2020

10 minutes later...

The door opens as I don't even want to stand up because of my desolation, but for the second time today, what I see dissatisfies me. The students are the first ones to enter the room, getting Jaehyuk to peek at me but glance away as if I was nothing. They all drop their phones in the box and get to their seats.

Once Miss Han follows them to reach her desk, my eyes never blink again in order me to only stare at her. I was on the verge of gaping, but I held back, or else this would have been inappropriate of me.

Her bodycon dress is shorter than yesterday and goes down to the half of her thighs only, with a little sweetheart neck that makes her look even sexier. Can I just have this woman for myself...? I won't ask for anything more in my life.

"Good morning," she smiles at us as everyone sat down, but I keep my head on my hand and grin unconsciously. "Have you all studied yesterday's lesson?" she doesn't give me too much attention, making me crave it like ever. "Yes, Ma'am. Just for you," Jaehyuk flirts, gazing at her with his charming face of shit.

She smiles but looks down, bending over to a slight degree to put her stuff on the desk. "You're really gorgeous in that dress, Miss," he doesn't hold back from mentioning it, probably looking at her breasts and licking his lips to then bite his bottom one like a horny guy, "I mean, more than usual."

"Jaehyuk, thank you but don't say that," she drops her bag on the floor but still shows how pleased she is to receive those compliments. "Why? I just wanted you to know."

"I'm your teacher, this isn't something you should tell me," she looks at him as the class is being a bit noisy with the whispers, and she sits down. "All right...I'm sorry for letting my heart talk then."

It certainly is not his heart.

"Are you sure it's your heart?" another guy thinks the same as I do but goes a bit too far. How can he say that out loud?

Jaehyuk looks at him and chuckles, before combing his hair back as I noticed this made Miss Han a bit uncomfortable. She ignores this reply and looks down at her book. "Can I ask you if you enjoyed your birthday, Miss?"

"I want you to work now, Jaehyuk," she doesn't smile anymore but gets serious after the things she heard. She must not like sexual insinuations. "All right, I'm listening."

She breathes out heavily but grabs hold of her glasses to put them on. "Have you seen them?" Jaehyuk whispers to his table mate, and they both chuckle. "I want my dick in-between."

"Same," he smirks but enrages me. "Let's start guys, I'm going to ask some questions about last lesson to make sure you studied."

I focus on her and wait for the questions with no fear, I've studied and know everything by heart. "Let's start with the sentence number five," she keeps her fingers on it before raising her eyes up to us, checking who could be the perfect target. I don't glance down since I know this is unnecessary, but she picks Dongsik, my poor dude. "Can you translate it, please?"

"Uhm..." he looks for it and scans the words with his eyes, but I chuckle silently, remembering what Minjun said earlier. "J'aimerais...acheter une crème...?" he makes a mistake. "It's not 'crème'," be careful with this one. 'Glace' in French means 'ice cream'. Look," she stands up from her chair and turns towards the whiteboard to explain to him.

"This is a bit hard when you start to learn but this word sounds like two other words that are different in French," she grabs hold of the black marker and opens it to write. "The 'Glace' can mean different things, first, 'Ice cream', it can also mean 'Mirror', 'Ice', or 'Window'. The problem is that it's written the same way, and it's pronounced the same way, so depending on your sentence and the meaning of it, the word will not have the same meaning."

She's so mesmerizing when she teaches us that she manages to keep us all quiet. "All right, Miss. I understand now," he smiles at her and takes some notes like I already did. "Great," she goes back on her chair but now picks another sentence before looking back at us. "Cheolmin, sentence number ten," she picks him but makes me feel invisible. Why doesn't she designate me? I want to show her I know everything by heart.

The guy translates the sentence and makes no mistakes, so she goes to the next one and looks at me, finally. I am more than ready. "Sentence number four, Bongsu."

Is that a joke? Why is my day starting so badly? Is it the karma because I checked her out when she was naked last night? I wanted her to ask for me to do it...

20 minutes later...

"Yoogeun," she pronounces his name without ever saying mine, making it hard for me to focus. I feel like something is wrong, she usually asks me to translate something, and today, she hasn't done it just once. This boy does as told and leaves his seat to walk up to the whiteboard with his piece of paper, meanwhile, Miss Han walks away to get to the window.

I peek at Jaehyuk who hasn't stopped saying sexual stuff about her to his table mate but notice he's staring at her. Once the student just right next to her grasps her attention, she leans over him to take a look at his book and causes her breasts to be a bit revealed, but the friend of Jaehyuk nudges him. He grabs his ruler but makes it rise, getting them both to laugh as if it was funny.

Plenty of eyes are directed towards her only because we can see a tiny part of her breasts while she's helping one of her students, however, Jaehyuk takes his phone out for the camera to be above the table. As soon as I see him smirk and use two fingers on his screen, I understand what he's doing.

"Stop recording," I speak out without caring about the consequences but make sure Miss Han knows about this. All the attention lands on me with Jaehyuk's one who just pulled his phone down.

"Don't freaking act innocent, you were recording her just a second ago," I point my finger at him to inform everyone about what he did, but his phone is already in his pocket. "What the hell are you talking about?" he scoffs at me. "Shut up already! You were using your phone just to record Miss Han, you fucking pervert!"

"Jungkook," her voice echoes through the room full of tension, and I look at her. "Don't talk like that," she tells me in her soft voice but then sets her eyes on the disgusting guy, "Jaehyuk. What were you doing?"

"Nothing, Ma'am. I swear," he dares to lie to her, "This dude just has a problem with me. I wasn't doing anything, you know I would never do such a thing."

"Can you show me your phone that was supposed to be in the box then?" she leaves the student she was helping and walks up to him. "Ma'am, I swear I wasn't doing anything. My phone is turned off, but I just don't like it to be mixed with the others."

She crosses her arms but stretches her hand out to him, maybe believing me more than him.

"He was recording Ma'am, I saw him too," Dongsik gives me a hand to get this piece of shit in trouble, and now, another one voices out the same words. "Are you all fucking serious right now?! I wasn't doing anything!"

"Jaehyuk!" she raises her voice for the first time but throws a dead silence upon us, making him stare at her into the eyes. "You show me your phone, or I will not believe you."

I would never want to make her angry, this is intense as hell, and I don't regret it.

He huffs sharply but takes his phone out of his pocket, getting me to be satisfied with this ending. He lifts it up and gives it to her, in order for her hand to grab it. She presses on one of the buttons but then looks at him. "I told you, Miss Han, I wouldn't do such a thing to you."

What?

She gives him back his phone but puts her eyes onto me. Only with the gaze she gives me, I see through her eyes that she feels some disappointment, hurting me with a reaction that she never had before because of me. My heart just shattered.

"You can continue, Cheolmin," she averts her eyes from me and walks back to the spot that she was occupying. I'm on the verge of crying right now, how could he turn his phone off so quickly?

•••

11:58 am.

I fiddle on my spot, feeling my heart rush into my chest and force me to bite onto my nails. I feel bad about this, Miss Han told me to wait in front of the classroom she would be in once the classes would be over, but I know for sure this doesn't predict anything good.

I know it, and I'm shaking like I've never done before.

At the sound of some footsteps made with a pair of pumps in the classroom, I lose my breath and look in the direction of the door, knowing this is her since she's the only woman in this school.

I don't stop my actions but only feel even more anxious once she comes within sight. She locks the door but doesn't say anything, not smiling, not exuding any positivity. She turns towards me.

We both get into eye contact, but my heart skips several beats. "Why did you do such a thing earlier, Jungkook?" she talks to me in an earnestness voice. "Miss Han, I promise I didn't lie to you. He was recording you with his phone while you were focusing on Cheonsa, and he was having fun with his tablemate. You have to believe me."

"Our private lesson is canceled, Jungkook," she breaks my heart but provokes a real wave of anxiety inside my body, "His phone was turned off, he wouldn't have been able to hide his phone and turn it off in a matter of short seconds when I was looking at him."

"Miss Han—"

"No. I really hate this type of behavior and cannot stand it when one of my students lies to me," she cuts me off and deepens all the pain that she just caused to me with mere words. "I thought I could trust you, Jungkook. You really disappointed me," she stares through my soul and means her words to the full, making me shed tears once she steps away.

"Miss Han, please believe me!" I grab her wrist no matter how forbidden this is, and I stop her to be face to face with her. I don't care about my tears anymore, I join my shaky hands together and stare into her eyes to show her I'm sincere with her, "I swear on everything that I would never lie to you, you can ask Dongsik or any other students, and they will all tell you that they saw the same as I did. Don't say those words to me...I would never do something bad, Miss Han...I'm telling the truth..."

She doesn't glance away but gazes at me as if my grief and fright were making her doubt. She remains silent, so I carry on, "If I had lied to you, I would have apologized because I don't want to disappoint you in any way, but you can ask all my friends, I can't lie, least of all to you."

"Jungkook..." she says my name in a monotone, "Why are you crying like that? I didn't mean to hurt you..."

"I don't want you to be disappointed in me..." I glance down but wipe my tears away, feeling like I'm embarrassing her. "I..." she exhales, "Jungkook, look in my eyes and promise me you really saw him record me."

I dive my eyes into hers and never blink to break the contact, "I promise to you, Miss Han. I saw him take a picture of you or record. He was talking about you with his table mate and implying some sexual stuff, then he took his phone out and directed his camera towards you. I swear that's what I saw him do."

She glances down at my lips as if she couldn't stand to look in my teary eyes but then glances away. "All right, I trust you," she nods and gives me the best relief in my life, "But next time you see something like that happen, I allow you to record it to have proof, okay?" she changes the tone of her voice as if seeing me cry affected her. I acquiesce, "I will."

She offers me one of the most comforting smiles but gets hold of something in her handbag. Once she takes a little packet of tissues out, my heart melts and I finally calm down. "Here," she pulls one out and hands it to me so I grab it and smile, "Thank you..."

"We'll have this private lesson tomorrow, all right? You can even come earlier in the morning if you want, I'll be here after the maids will be done," she doesn't forget about this as I just wiped my tears away but didn't blow my nose right in front of her. "All right," I snivel a bit in a convulsive manner without willing to, be she places her hand on my arm, "Now calm down, I don't like making boys like you cry, this breaks my heart," she smiles at me but rubs my arm, giving me a hard time with her soft touches. "I'm sorry...I was just scared..."

"Scared of what?" she stops her action to not make our physical contact last, but I lick my lips, feeling the puffiness of them against my tongue after I sobbed like a baby in front of my crush. "Scared that you could have hated me or not trust me anymore..."

Her eyes remain fixed on me as if what I said was surprising, but her red lips curve up in a soft smile, "It's okay, I trust you now."

My lips catch the same curve, but I gaze down at hers. Then sniffles harshly again as my body hasn't recovered from the intense stress yet. She giggles at this reaction, but I beam. "Let's go back home," her lips move as I was staring at them, but I nod and step back to follow her.

I take my phone out since I could catch the bus with my stepbrother and text him.

[ I'm taking the bus with you, wait for me >

< why? Didn't you have a private lesson? ]

[ no, it's canceled, it will be for tomorrow >

< oh. I guess you're crying now?🤣 ]

I don't answer this jerk but lock my phone to have a glimpse of the woman next to me. She turns her head in my direction as if she felt my eyes on her, so I glance away. "Do you want me to drive you home?"

I beam like a baby and nod. "All right, like this, I can kind of make it up for making you cry," she still mentions it, talking about this in such a way that I feel like she really felt bad or maybe hurt.

I take my phone again and send another text to Jungeun.

[ forget what I said, Miss Han drives me home >

< TELL EHR TO TAKE ME WITH YOU!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I dotn want to take the bus....please...😭😭 she knows our parents...she could do that for her baby boy🥺🥺 ]

I chuckle in front of my screen but answer him.

[ no. >

Once it's sent I lock my phone and put it in my pocket, not planning on taking it again. "Miss Han..." I ask for her attention but reach the doors with her. "Yes, Jungkook?" she smiles and pushes the door to go out and keep it still for me. "Would you mind picking my stepbrother up at the bus stop? He is alone, and...I always get worried whenever he's not with me."

"Yes, sure. You'll just have to show me where it is," she doesn't even hesitate but accept, walking up to the parking lot with faster steps but make me feel happy. She's really the sweetest.

Once we get to there, she presses down on her car key and unlocks the door, reaching it and getting her stuff in the back. I look at her but wait for her to be ready to get inside to do it as well and sit down on the passenger seat. I put my bag down on my lap and buckle my seat belt on as she already did it for us to get on the road.

"Is it far from here?" she asks but looks behind, focusing on her actions to not make anything bad. "No, you just have to leave the parking lot, then you turn to the left and continue until you can turn to the right and you go straight towards the Subway, and the stop is in the smaller street on the right, but it's an oneway one."

"All right," she nods but already takes the first right turn, keeping her back straight for a reason that I don't know. She must be really focused, that's cute. "So, the Subway..." she looks for it, but I do the same. I know exactly where it is since I often go there with Jungeun.

"It's here," I indicate it with my finger, and she slows down. "You just have to wait here, I'm calling him," I smile but hurry to get out of the car, I let the door open and run to my stepbrother who's waiting with a lot of other students, his hood on and his hands in the front pocket of his hoodie.

"Jungeun!" I call him and get his eyes on me momentarily. I gesture him to come closer, and he does it with some astonishment. "Miss Han is here," I grin at him but see his lips turn up into a smile. He must have taken my reply seriously.

We both run back to our teacher and get into the car, both closing the doors to be ready to go. "Thank you very much, Miss Han," my little brother shows his gratefulness in a cute voice, and we both put our seat belt on. "No need to."
