Nico felt horrible, he blamed himself. Why had he gone to find the doors in the first place? He wouldn't have had to been saved and Percy and Annabeth would still be there. Nico paced the deck of the Argo II. He looked down at the water and his eyes watered up. A few years ago he had hated Percy, he blamed him for his sisters death. He finally had just became friends with Percy and now he was gone. Tartarus was a horrible place. It nearly made Nico go insane and he is the son of Hades. He knew Percy was strong, even stronger with Annabeth but even the strongest people need help.

His thoughts were interrupted by Frank who dived down screeching about something. That something was a griffon. Everyone ran up to the decks to see what was the problem. "aren't some griffons good?" Leo asked. "Yes Leo just not when they are possesed!" Piper yelled the griffon landed on the deck making cracks in the floorboards. " Hey don't hurt my boat!" Leo cried. Nico got his sword out. "Put your weapons away fools, I'm in this body just to carry a message." said the griffin in a sleepy voice that had to be Gaea. "Your friends down in Tartarus don't stand a chance. I will rise no matter what. It could be your friends give up or they will be captured either is fine, and don't worry I've told all monsters to refrain from killing them but if worst comes to worst your blood will do just fine." the griffin looked confused then flew away. "Well that was cheery now wasnt it?" Leo joked. Hazel with red eyes stormed out leaving hunks of diamond behind.

Finally when everyone was at dinner nobody felt like talking. Leo tried joking to lighten the mood only to be told to shut up by Hedge. Nicos palms were sweating but he stood up and started to talk "listen we need to stay strong, for us along with Percy and Annabeth. We also need a plan." "who says you get to be in charge?" Jason asked "Your the youngest and the newest member of the crew." Nico dug his nails into his palms "Percy made me promise to bring you to the doors of death and I don't plan on breaking that promise." "So? You can barley stand let alone lead this quest!" Tiny sparks were leaping off jasons shoulders. Cracks started appearing on the ground. Then everyone was yelling at each other. Pipers eyes were watering up and she wales to Jason and put her hand on his shoulder only to rip it off. Smoke curling off her fingers. She burst out in tears and ran to her room. "Nice job cupcake!" Hedge shouted. Jason slumped to the floor. Nico felt bad so he went over and sat next to him. "I'm sorry Jason, I shouldn't have been trying to take over your quest." "It's okay, we need all the help we can get. You should get done sleep though." Jason said sadly. "Okay" then Nico went back on the deck and layed down. He was offered Percys room for the time being but that would have been saying that they are not coming. As soon as his head hit the deck he started dreaming. Nice dreams not Demi god dreams, these dreams were of his childhood. The dreams did not last long for he woke with a start after hearing a scream.
