{date night} rumi x jinu

It was quiet in the apartment since jinu was the only one there tonight everyone had things to do

Baby was asked to do a feature on a song

Abby was at the gym

Romance was at a photoshoot

Mystery was at a concert with one of his hometown friends

And then it was just jinu it felt weird for him to be all by himself in the apartment when he was usually the one that wasn't ever there

He was bored

Jinu sighed heavy and was laying on his back on the bed and he kept flicking his phone on and off again but the time seemed to stay the same each time

Boredom was very powerful towards Jinu right now and then he got the bright idea to hang out with someone

Rumi

Jinu pulled out his phone a smile on his face as he texted her

{JINU AND RUMIS CHAT}

Jinu: "date night???"

A few minutes went by before a response

Rumi: "is that seriously even a question"

*Jinu laughed at a message*

Jinu: "get ready I'll pick you up in 10"

Rumi: "see you soon!!"

{OUT OF CHAT}

Jinu smiled at his phone before thinking of where to take her and an add popped up of a lantern night at the public park tonight

He smiled and figured it'd be perfect and he then got changed throwing on a hoodie with a pair of jeans before grabbing his car keys and leaving the apartment

Jinu drove for what felt like an eternity before he got there the excitement of seeing her after a while and it being just them was overwhelming

Jinu parked his car and he saw rumi walk out in a leather jacket jeans and a white crop underneath and he smiled to himself but at her at the same time

Rumi smiled ear to ear her smile brightening up her whole face as she hopped into the car "hi!" She said her voice happy

Jinu smiled "hi beautiful" he said his voice soft

Rumi smiled and she leaned over and they then shared a soft little kiss that lingered for a moment

Jinu smiled as they parted and then he turned forward again and took the car out of park and started driving

Rumi smiled and looked out the front window "so where we going?" She asked her voice excited

"It's a surprise" jinu said his voice full of suspense

Rumi sighed heavy "if you tell me I'll still act surprised" she said with a grin

Jinu laughed his eyes crinkling a the corners "well that wouldn't be very surprising would it?" He asked glancing over at her

Rumi smiled and shrugged and then looked back out the window

The rest of the ride was pretty much silent but it wasn't a awkward silence it was peaceful their presence with one another enough

As Jinu parked the car in the driveway out in the distance you could see the faint golden glow of the lanterns releasing and then floating into the sky and he looked over at rumi seeing her reaction

Rumi looked out the window and her eyes gleamed she then sat up straight a smile on her lips and she looked over at him "you didn't" she said soft

Jinu smiled and nodded "oh I did" he whispered and took her hand pressing a soft kiss

Rumi smiled and kept watching

Jinu then let go of her hand just to get out "come on" he said his voice joyful

Rumi nodded and the got out of the car and took his hand as they walked towards the lanterns

Jinu  smiled big along  with rumi as they got closer to the counter and jinu looked at the guy

"Two lanterns please" jinu spoke pulling out his wallet

Rumi looked at jinu for a second but then turned to see another lantern floating into the sky and a big smile was on her face

The man smiled and handed Jinu two lanterns and took jinus money "enjoy" he said

Jinu nodded in a silent thank you and then smiled as he saw rumi so into the lanterns "here" he said softly

Rumi turned around and took the lantern from Jinu a smile of her face as they walked over to a picnic bench and Jinu pulled out a sharpie handing it to her first

Rumi smiled and took the sharpie and started to write down on her lantern

Jinu watched in glory he was so mesmerized by every little thing she did

Rumi then finished and showed him her lantern which had a 'J+R' on it and she had the biggest smile on her face

Jinu looked at the lantern and he smiled and then looked at her "I love it" he said his voice soft

Rumi smiled and then passed him the sharpie

Jinu took the sharpie and then thought for a second before starting to write down on the lantern

Jinu then finished and turned the lantern around and showed her and it read 'Rumi+Jinu' on it

Rumis smile brightened and she looked at him her eyes soft and she then stood up as they were about to light it

Jinu and rumi held hands as someone came and lit the bottom of the lantern jinu looked at her "ready?" He asked still holding his lantern

Rumi looked at the sky before back at Jinu and nodded "ready" she said in response

They then smiled and let go of their lanterns at the same time the bright golden light shimmering into the dark night sky along with many others lighting up the sky

Jinu and rumi watched their lanterns float into the sky and jinu then lowered his gaze to Fuji's face as just smiled looking at her and how beautiful she looked

Jinu then hesitated before speaking "rumi" he said softly

Rumi lowered her gaze and smiled at him and nodded "yes?" She said her voice soft

Jinu smiled and put a hand on her cheek his thumb tracing her cheek bone

Rumi didn't hesitate to melt into the touch and she put her hand on his wrist keeping his touch there

Jinu smiled and then leaned down and kissed her soft and gently the world felt like it was spinning around them but in that moment it felt at a complete and easy stop the only two people were jinu and rumi despite the others around

Rumi smiled and as they parted they rested their foreheads together and rumi chucked "what was that for?" She said her voice a whisper

Jinu shook his head his thumb still brushing along her cheek bone "nothing I just" he started

Rumi parted their foreheads to look at him

Jinu hesitated before the words just came out "I love you" he said his voice soft and hesitated considering it was the first time he's ever said those three words

Rumis eyes lit up and she smiled bright "you love me?" She asked her voice soft and happy

Jinu nodded "I should've said it sooner" he said softly looking down

Rumi shook her head "look at me" she said softly but firm so he would look

Jinus eyes met hers again and he swallowed hard

Rumi searched his eyes for any regret before she spoke "I love you" she said saying it for the first time as well "so much" she said the last part a whisper

Jinus eyes softened at her words and he didn't hesitate to kiss her softly once again
