Valentina's POV

I sat alone under a tree after hours of training.

It had been a few weeks since I began training with Itachi and Kisame, and I was surprised at how much my jutsus and chakra had improved.

"How was training?", Itachi asked sitting next to me.

"It was good", I said looking down feeling my face get red.

"After weeks of training, you've been getting better compared to day 1", he said cheering me up.

"Thank you", I said not looking at him. "And thank you for checking up on me. Nobody has really bothered to ask about my life. Only you and Kisame".

"You actually remind me of someone I care about a lot, and I see myself in you. I'm also alone in this world", he told me.

"Itachi-San, Valentina- Chan we have a member!" Tobi yelled from the distance.

I looked up and saw Kisame and Tobi in a distance walking and talking to a dark hair girl.

That night Leader had a meeting with everyone including the new member.

"Valentina this is the new member. Her name is Lily", he told me.

Lily introduced herself with a nod and warm smile.

I forced a smile but it wasn't sincere. I was confused as to why Leader wanted me to meet her.

"Your demon will be transfer to her", Leader explained.

I didn't say anything and just looked down.Why did he want me to train so much if he was still going to end up transferring my demon to someone else?

"You will remain in the Akatsuki and will not tell anyone that your demon was transferred to someone else. Doing so will only make enemies of the Akatsuki see you as an easy target", Leader instructed me. I nodded being too afraid to keep eye contact with his cold, empty-of-emotion eyes.

"As for you, Lily. You are not to escape the Akatsuki. If you do, I will kill you. I want you to train with Kisame and Itachi to perfect your jutsus and learn to control the demon's powerful, yet destructive, chakra", Leader instructed her.

"Understood", she said shyly.

My eyes traveled to her direction. She was standing next to Itachi. Her dark eyes looked at his. A smile appeared on her face, which he returned. I looked away from the scene feeling sick to my stomach.

I saw the way Itachi looked at her. The way all male members looked at her. She was really pretty. She had long black hair, dark eyes, and a nice smile. She was their age while they all viewed me as a sad little girl.I don't want Itachi to like her....

                            ~*~Obito's POVAfter Valentina had the demon removed, she spent weeks crying and afraid.

She often isolated herself.Sometimes Deidara would try to convince her to run away with him, but she was too afraid to get caught. She would tell him that she was an outcast everywhere she went, and she would be killed at sight as soon as she enter foreign villages that weren't Konoha.

I would often hear Itachi tell the new member, Lily, how he felt bad for Valentina because she was Sasuke's age, so young, and she feared for her life now that almost all her chakra was gone. The closer he got to Lily, the more distant Valentina got from everyone .

Valentina's POV

I was deep sleep when I heard footsteps walking into my room.

I sat up on my bed trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness.

"You have to run away tomorrow", a man's voice whispered . "You cannot be in this organization anymore because it's too dangerous for you".

I sat on the bed unsure of what to say. I was half asleep and too tired to recognize who the voice belong to.

"Tomorrow I'll meet you in the middle of the woods during training hours. I will lead you to Konoha",  he told me. "But you cannot tell anyone in the village that the Akatsuki let you escape".

"Who are you?", I asked.

Silence.

"Are you Itachi?"

I felt a warm hand reach to touch my face.

I took that as a yes and lay back down.

I felt him lay down next to me, and my stomach filled with butterflies as I felt his warm strong arm hug me.

The room was completely silent. I fell asleep to the sound of his breathing and to the snow falling on the roof.
