Valentina's POVBefore the blue-haired, sad woman could follow Leader out the room, I grabbed her arm. "Please don't let him kill me," I begged her.

She let go of my grip. "Do not get confuse, girl. Without your demon's power, you mean nothing to us," and with that she followed Leader.

My eyes opened that night and I scanned my dark bedroom. I felt a strong chakra in the room that left me covered in chills.

I heard foot steps walking towards my bed, and I squinted my eyes trying to see who it was, but all I could see was pitch-black darkness.

"Don't bother," a man's voice said as I attempted to sit up straight in the bed.

He said something else that I couldn't hear due to the loud pounding of my heart.

"Who are you?" I quickly asked. My heart beating faster as I heard him walk closer towards me.

Even with him now being significantly closer I couldn't make out any specific facial features due to how dark the room was.

"What did they tell you?" the man asked as I felt him lay down next to me.

"If I don't get better they will kill me," I said.

"Don't worry I will help you," he said and I felt his warm hand reach for mine.
